@@InayahEleven I saw an article abt this a while ago, iirc it was just because his character wasn’t needed for the story anymore and he didn’t want to take away attention from the new main characters. Plus from the beginning Simon was only supposed to be in the show for one season and he decided to stick to that

I have a feeling there will be not one but 2 Bridgerton weddings. It would be awkward if she & Simon doesn't attend it, especially if she's pretty much in the vicinity... I mean, if the actor playing Simon isn't available, then just recast him... or they have to come up with an excuse both are not out town or even better, country...
I does make sense if her character is present as in the books she makes many appearances that are so important for the story
I think without her husband, it made it awkward and they passed a lot of her character stuff to Kate. Shame tho!

Exactly! For some reason I hate Season 2 . I didn't like the casting of Sharma sisters and diamond of the season was really a wrong choice in Season 2 plus unnecessary drama and the couple don't look good together at all! Casting was bad!

I feel like if the actor who is played simon doesn't want to come back then they should hire a new actor. So that we can still have Daphne in it because she's a very big part of the story and we're definitely missing out on her not being in season 3 because of it.
Does he really not want to come back? I guess I just figured the script writers decided they didn't want or didn't need him back. Which is a shame.

Right ?!?!?!?!!!! And the fact that it was Colin in the books saying that he and Daphne grew up the closes cause of their 1 year difference. The only thing Colin says that as to why he and Daphne aren’t as super close as they used to be was only due to when her and the Duke started having kids. But still, having that sibling bond prompted Colin to still seek Daphne for advice about falling in love 😭😭 super important from the book. Maybe quite possibly that Kate may fill in that role and give some words of wisdom to Colin for the upcoming season???
