This video worked perfectly for me. I am not a DIY guy, but this was relatively easy to follow - even for me. My dryer isn't stacked on my washer, but this way to changing out the drain pump was way easier than another video I watched that had me taking off the top, the front, and the hoses just to get to the pump! This way, I just had to tip it back, take off the small cover, and remove a few screws to get to it. Thank you very much!

Such a great help! Much quicker and easier way to access and replace the pump motor assembly. Every other video online has you go through a much more exhausting disassembly process. Thank you for posting.

Thank you so much! I was able to get my Samsung Front Load Washer fixed by following your video! I was intimidated by the approaches I was seeing in other videos, but yours made it seem doable. It worked like a charm! I swapped out the drain pump motor with no issues at all. I've got a load of laundry going right now! Thanks again and God bless you! 😀🙏

Thank you very much for this video. Samsung repair guy asked me $280 with parts. Luckily got to I watched this video repeatedly for 5 times to motivate myself to do the job , I ordered pump from Amazon for $26 and today I replaced it. It took me around an hour because it was the first time I ever did anything like this with washing machine.

You, sir are a legend. I found your video a while back but didn't change thr pump because it was still working, just had issues starting. Found water under the washer the other day, grabbed the pump I had on the shelf, a jack stand to keep the washer from falling forward and a screwdriver and was back in business in about 10-15 mins. My leak turned out to be the drain hose cracked where it was on the bend support going into the drain pipe so I cut it off there since i never shortened the drain on install. God bless you, sir!

Thank you for posting this!!! I just ordered my pump and was worried about taking the entire front off of my washer. Really the stress of having to get the gasket off and back on without damaging the metal spring clamp in the process. (Or any other part for that matter). Looking at your video and seeing the comments seems this is the real way to go. Thanks again for posting this video!

Worked way better than every other video I saw, which required nearly taking apart the whole front end. Saved me a lot of effort and it was actually somewhat enjoyable. Plus less to keep track of was nice too and it only took like 10-15 minutes all in. I'm glad I stumbled upon this! Thanks!

I've also seen similar videos. It seems certain (maybe older?) Samsung washer pumps aren't as easily accessible from underneath. Not quite sure myself, this is my first time repairing a washer

Absolutely amazing video.....I was able to replace the drain pump in about 20 minutes (once I got it pulled out and leaned back), for about $30 for the part. Other videos showed people practically dismantling the entire top and front to get to it. There was PLENTY of room under there to get to it. Once you take those front screws off, it was easy to twist the assembly around to get to the pump screws; didn't even disconnect any hoses. So easy! Thanks!

Also, I think the original motor might have been okay when I pulled it off, there was a string that fell out, I think it was stopping the propeller from rotating, but yeah, don't think I am going to buy samsung appliances again, might go with LG or Whirlpool

I give you a lot of credit for doing this type of work. I have no patience to be taking off all those screws and panels. I thought about learning how to repair washers and dryer‘s, but after trying it and watching all the videos. I’m just not a guy that has a lot of patience to be taking apart every little screw, wire connecto, bolts, and panels. Great video though.

Your comment and this video saved me so much time and money! I have my units stacked in a super small closet in the back of my house. No room to move the units much without pulling it out of the closet. Every video showed to pull the front off. The underneath method was right on point! Then once I popped the pump out, hairball!! Hooked it back up, turned it on and it drained!!! Thank you both so much!!

If the motor is bad would you hear it making noise? I removed my coin trap and cleaned it but, the washer won’t drain. It does a noise that it’s trying to pump. I Wilson get some water out of the hose when it’s attempting to drain.

Help! HELP!!! My washer will not drain in the waste drain. But it will drain in a bucket. I guess at a lower level. Is this a drain pump problem? I hear the motor running but water will not drain unless I take the hose out and lower in a bucket. When I raise the hose, the water stops draining. When I lower, it will drain in bucket.
