First time I've seen someone's solve for PC use vs sim use with a rotating screen. I've done a sit-stand desk that I lower some and roll my sim up to, but it didn't solve for the distance. Other alternatives I've looked at would be buying additional monitors and using nice KVMs to switch. Props on the ingenuity! Room looks clean.
I’ve done it here at home. I’m using 2 screens for work and can rotate them for racing use. One screen allways hangs at the sim race side to use tripples

Dude that coaching seat is sick! I also really like that back camera you got up there. I need to do that some thank you. That's how a clean a rig should look. Thanks for sharing your perspective on how it was switching to a single monitor. Must be nice to not have that headache and you don't even switch monitors for desk work. I try to use 5, cant really do it with out a 4090, not enough outputs. I just most be super nice to sit down and have it work with out extra complications like mixing a ton of different ecosystems. Very well thought out. I didn't have that foresight lol.
@@Jayjayjoe hi not yet :) I have had OLED displays since 2016. And I am very aware of brun in. So I leave the auto /anti brun in features ok. And I have removed the windows task bar. I also set windows to turn off the screen quite fast. I think 5 min. That said I already done 2x 24h races where the screen has been on for around 30 hours in one Go. And no bars or miscolored pixels yet . So I guess one can have it if one takes care of it
It's not at all cheap BUT have a look into the Smyth Research A16 Realiser. It can get complicated but the short story is, it 100% will accurately sim a 15.1.8 channel Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, or 13.1 Auro-3D surround system inside a pair of headphones. It will also allow for an external subwoofer (or two) to be attached as well for realistic sub and infrasub frequencies. It's not the gimmicky 7.1 surround sound headphones that Logitech or whoever push. This is a prosumer/professional device created by one of the founding members of DTS, James Smyth. I would be more than happy to walk you through it completely free of charge. I love your channel and want to see it pushed even further.
@@NesterowiczRacing I never have any issues with fps, but that being said even at some race starts with full grids if the fps drops to below 90 I don’t even notice it, I would have to look at the fps display to know it’s lower than usual. Such a clean neat setup.....great thinking with the desk at the back and monitor on an arm. Where did you source the track maps on the wall, ive been trying to find similar things to 3d print but not easy to get lots of tracks at same scale and quality
Nice setup! I have something similar in regards to dual use monitor, however my rig is next to my desk and I swing it over to the side. Is your monitor arm the ergotron HX? I have read that it is not good to have the monitor go behind the monitor arm like yours is positioned for sim rig, have you had any issues? I am interested to know because I would like to rearrange my setup to be like yours so I can get the screen in a better position.
So it is the same design as the ergtron hx - but cheaper. And i drilled a hole in the solid table for more centered mounting. And there are no issues, of course i do not extend the screens super far over towards my simracing position. but i have it placed close as i want. closer than my previous triples!
@@DavidBruner-u8k hi. Contrary of what many think. There is zero setup/software that needs to be "connected between iRacing and the driver". It just natively works as your mouse does.
