Removing 4 DEAD pines, will I FALL?!?! (Part 1)

These were 4 dead pines that were in a slightly awkward spot. Luckily I had a few other trees to tie myself into, so it was slightly safer.
On the first tree the sling slid twice. The first time was because I did not have it tight enough, but the second time was because the trees were so dead that the bark was slipping off and that caused the sling to slide.

You already had my respect but you earned even more. Even with you being tied to that other tree, I know you had to be nervous negative rigging that top on that tall skinny dead pine. Excellent job, I am gonna finish watching the rest now. Just wanted to say that after seeing you do it

Thanks, it was definitely a little nerve racking, but once the top was out I felt much better. The second tree was by far time worst one on the job site.

@reallytalltreeguy when you knocked on the trees what sound were you expecting? Is there a way to tell how dead a tree is by the sound it makes?

If there weren't other trees Italian to then I would have just gone up them and been double tied into what I was climbing. Or if I deemed it not safe enough, then we would have had to get a spider lift to come in

But not at all I did. Nothing super sketchy happened in the video, or on-the-job we're in that moment I thought I might die. And as such I didn't want to try to click pay people more than I already am.
