It shouldn't hurt that much unless you are using the hard ones. Make sure you do it gently and don't tenderise your muscles like you do meat for cooking haha
@@blueshoes5145 if you do intense sport, it’ll be painful no matter how soft you go about it. It’s cause of how sore your muscles get after training each day. But the relief that comes is totally worth it
Yes. This is the best way to relax your restless before go to bed, believe me I ve been doing this for yrs helping much better. Do not waste your time to watch others on TH-cam. If you want to secure more you may order magnesium oil sprayer before bed
LOVED the price for all that it is, was looking for a th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1N3gatJfHIxCsI2TbcOH1-k8v-EDJ40N bench specifically with Roman chair capabilities. It was easy to assemble, light enough to move around easily, but sturdy and stable too. We put gym floor pads under it in the garage for added stability but doesn't really need it. Easy to adjust. The dumbell storage underneath isn't super useful and they tend to slide off sideways, but not a necessary feature for us. Thanks for not price gouging when everyone else is on exercise equipment during quarantine times!
I had a client ask me question after question regarding foam rollers.. this video was outstanding at explaining them all. I've had a love/hate relationship with my Triggerpoint for over a decade now. They hold up well.
I bought one in Decathlon few months ago, and use it almost every day, I played gym and soccer at least 1 week 1 time, great recovered and get out all of tired and pain quickly next day :) so good way and product
I'm new to foam rolling (I have heel/tarsal tunnel issues that I believe are coming from tight calves). This was a good overview and provided key information like breaking the area into two parts, moving side to side when you get over a particularly sore area etc. Thanks!
Seeing a lot of comments saying there is no scientific research to prove this. I do bmx a couple times a week and always had minor to medium pains around my body after. Been trying this for 3 days so far. Could be placebo but the pains are gone after. I’m not saying it’s a miracle device. It just feels like I had a great massage after. Puts me right to bed lol. It’s pretty cheap, worth a shot imo.
You don't have to immediately buy one if you're not sure if its for you... I DIYed it and glued a few layers of an old ecercise mat on an old rolling pin (these wooden baking thingies). PVC pipes also work fine.
Does anybody out there remember what it felt like as a kid receiving a still wrapped-up present ? Well - that is what I felt like today..... Thankyou. For all of your videos.👍👍
Great Demo video. Question: How do I chose the right yoga roller for my body. There are So many different variants, some are even all across, other have different patterns of relief. Which ones is best for the body and which one may hurt the most? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows. 😃🙏
Hope I'm not too late, The harder and spikier the foam roller, the more it will dig into the muscle. If you're just starting out, find a soft foam roller and try it. If it doesn't cause any pain then move on to something denser. Eventually, all rollers will feel too soft and while they will continue providing benefits, you can move on to rolling with a 1-inch diameter metal pole. (place across two objects so it's above the ground enough for whatever you're rolling to not touch the ground.)
When rolling upper back, better to put arms straight up in air, putting arms behind your head, puts shoulders blades in a very awkward and unnatural position.
@@thearchives446 you'll live...But at what cost ? It's not gonna be fun, when you are old and things start to hurt badly because of the wrong exercises you did when younger.
I love what was said at the end. Thank you 👍 It's definitely true. If I dont foam roll after playing 2-3 hours of pickleball. I will feel sore and stiff at my knees after sitting 30 mins. Foam rolling after has been a great relief! I'm about to foam roll now before I go out and play
I'm very interested in foam rolling sense I've been diagnosed with femoral patella syndrome and have extremely tight hip flexors. All due to me driving for a living from 2002-2009 and not having a job until 2012. Both of my knees act up sometimes and have to ice them up and call out of work.
You should look into functional exercise/movement and a whole foods diet to help you with the pain, also posture is key look up posture correction on TH-cam.

yes after trainings with strecthing is reccomended. before training and games is also good. you can foam roll right before training and games and it will improve your performance. dynamic stretches not static stretching though before workouts. static and foam rolling after
Hi.For an 8 yr old child who is more into foot work exercises like skipping and often complains of soreness in leg muscles.Would the foam rolling help him relax.Further would it be useful for knee area which constitutes bones.

I'm rollin' on my back, like a turtle on its shell, Workin' out my spine, feelin' every swell. My shoulders are so sore, I need a little relief, Rollin' back and forth, until I'm feelin' chief. Roll out, roll out, roll out, roll out, Feel the tension release, all around. Roll out, roll out, roll out, roll out, My muscles are so tight, I gotta let it out.
Can you still benefit from this if you use it hours before or after a workout? Who really has time to do this all right before and after getting a good workout in?!
It literally takes 5-10 minutes to hit all the crucial muscles... it’s not a matter of IF you have the time. Trust me, you will want to make the time. It’s so worth it.
Edwin Shek Well for me I’m a chef and on my feet constantly. Also I build privacy fences as a side hustle. Rolling keeps me moving for longer and keeps me from injuring myself. After a long day I hit the roller for 20 minutes or so and it makes me feel like a big ol’ bowl of jelly. It’s so simple yet so amazing. It’s like giving yourself a deep tissue massage. And yes I do it first thing in the morning and immediately after I get out of a hot shower.

For instance: A) try rolling on one leg and remember the feeling. B) Try rolling on the other leg. Do you notice any difference between A and B? It takes time, at least 2-3 days to recover from foam rolling and notice any improvement. I can assure you that after 3-4 sessions it'll become a more enjoyable activity. Once it is part of your routine, you'll still feel pain at the trigger points but it will go away after 15-30'' of pressure. And then you''ll start loving it, in a sadomasochism way.
