This is so scary and sad, it also sounds like the prison officials were complicit in his abuse and perhaps the abuse of others in prison. To have gone through all that in 6 months for shoplifting is wild. This should be one of those indicators that the prison system is broken

    • @mbhebheniontrading3056

prison guards are the ones that pimp the prisoners out, for like R20-R50 can you imagine

worldwide, anywhere the system doesn't hold people accountable for this kind of crime, especially when there is so little accountability that it's likely for prison staff that NOBODY in their life outside the prison ever knows anything, these things will be rampant. one sad aspect of human life in modern civilization. I don't suspect people in the conditions we evolved under did such things

You are so brave sharing your story Vusi. I'm a qualified psychiatric nurse, reti6from a big budy state hosp. We get inmates from number gang prison. I nursed so many brutally and severely assaulted raped inmates. Your story give me flashbacks how they come in, contracted HIV&AIDS, Tuberculosis and some with colostomy bags.
My interventions with some prison warders they feel stressed and nothing they van do. I know i have a duty, a oath the inmate is in my nursing care. Strongs Vusi. From Cape Town ❤

This episode made me angry 😠 😡. How does another prisoner tell another prisoner to switch cells, mind boggling. Who is in control there the officials or prisoners. What a terrible ordeal. Is the Minister of Justice & Correctional services Ronald Lamola watching this channel, hayi no man where is the correction part in correctional services and all he did was shoplift which I'm not condoning. Jesus people are suffering out here.

Just Detention International is small despite being around for so long (under different names), their social medias and TH-cam have such little interaction.
YOU can do something REAL just by subscribing, watching the videos, thumbs up, comment for algorithm.
Also - something to consider - so many charities have so many supporters, your support, while great, is a drop in the ocean. You support this small, underfunded group doing work that few recognize, and YOU make a significant impact.
I am one man and I have little money, but I very much like that my little resources I can give make an actual impact for a group like JDI, and the people they work to serve
And I very much believe that working to elevate the lowest among us, we have a greater impact, like, everything is connected and human suffering is human suffering. If you love people, helping to reduce the massive suffering of this one constantly overlooked minority truly accomplishes so much.

I post this last bit separate because the auto-mod might cause it to be purged or shadow-purged. But are you familiar with Amazon Smile? It gives basically what could be the affiliate payments for purchases, to a charity you choose.
You can set up your Amazon to give this little bit (depending on how much you spend, and what you buy, same as the affiliate program payments to this charity.
And Just Detention International is an option.
Very easy to set up and once it's set up, it's passive, it just a matter of deleting "www" and replacing with "smile" in the URL. I just bookmark the URL required and done.
I get a kick out of how it keeps a running tally of how much has been donated to your charity on your behalf, and by the program in general. And just hovering over the brand graphic at the top of the page reveals these stats.

Theatre can be tricky. With the theatrics, it makes it immensely difficult to descern the facts from the falsifications. The intention is not any way to deminish the seriousness of the gentleman's story. However, if such presentations were to be hypothetically conducted in court, who would be able to disseminate the facts from the illusions? The stories shared in "confidence' to the interviewer yet somewhat attaining the nature of a conference were more raw and believable.
The viewer is more involved in a case whereby an impression of the reformed (subjective) individual technically narrating to them (the viewer) is depicted - the questions were edited out.
The current video involves a whole crew, several locations, acting and a number of days thus diluting the connection between the narrator and the viewer. The therapeutic element is eliminated whilst an element of fear is inducted.
The old method reassembled a beautiful, implicit language.
Question: How did the channel get to a 100k subscribers?
Comment: Congratulations to TAN for getting partners and sponsors. The passion is well received. Lest we forget, the new is a product of the old.
Recommendation: Inspiration should always derive from the core concept.
Conclusion: Congratulations on the milestone. It is evident that action is indeed an equator between goals and dreams. The creativity is inspiring.
