Hello Joe, I believe you are the man that's standing in this video, is that correct? This was a good song, by the way!

tickle fan I am the proud Son in law to that Bass singer, the great HURSHEL WIGINTON of the best Backup Group the Nashville Edition. We lost Hurshel, March 6, 2017. He was
79 yrs. Old and still had that
wonderful voice till the day he
Passed. Anyone in the music industry truly new the Best Bass and Back up singer of our
      time. Hurshel was a wonderful
man and will be deeply missed by his Beautiful Family and friends.

Greg Swafford I just read an article about your father in law. I grew up watching Hee Haw. I didn't know group members Wendy and Delores had passed away as well. Sorry for your loss. Hurshel will be missed.

@@gregswafford7273 is it my imagination or if u lwoered that song a key or two he could probably take the tenor part? back then u didn't have bass singers with that range!!!! i don't know why when kenny price died they hired someone else just do coem in for the gospel quartet stuff and not just use the bass they already had. the other guy did good but why pay extra to bring someone else in ? was it a contract issue or just management? the few trimes i've heard your father in law on anythign i'm impressed with how high he could go. i think the lead/tenor singer made a comment in an interview that on one song they recorded they switched parts and nobody knew ?

@@gregswafford7273 from everything i've heard was a true class act and very popular. if he'd ever left the group probably got more recognition but showed them the loyalty they showed him in their early days when they became a pernament group (i understand) to protect him and give him more work since they weren't all 4 booked all the time. considering they were together over 50 years i'm assuming their early loyalty was well reciprocated. love to meet him in heaven and pick his brain on memories and stuff.

@@gregswafford7273 Hurshel was my dads 1st or second cousin. My grandmother was Icy Wiginton Holcomb. The resemblance to my grandmother is amazing. My parents saw Hurshel once in Nashville when they went to the Fan Fair. Love seeing these old Nashville Edition videos.
