Your Dad IS.....fill in the blank with any word that means top of one's craft, true professional, uber-talent, and all-around-awesome. God bless you and thank God for his talent. You should be right proud. :)
The drummer in the blond wig really plays his part of THE DAMSEL IN DISTRESS very well. Great cover rendition of a Ray (the Streak) Stevens hit song. By the way, TV channel 2 (from the song) is in Nashville and was WSM NBC. Pat Sajak (Wheel of Fortune) started there as weather man.
The Coasters had the first big hit of this song. They did not have the female voice parts in their version. The Buck Owens cover performed here left out the verse about Sweet Sue being in a mine shaft and threatened with dynamite.
Caught this on Hee Haw and laughed til I cried. If I had not had DVR I would have missed it. Another of Don"s attributes. He is good at comedy. The man never ceases to amaze me. We miss you Don and love you still. Thanks Yankee for a great post.

Sitting here in the heat trying to stay cool and I came across this video. I can't stop laughing. A classic and incredibly funny performance. RIP Jerry Wiggins. That performance in the wig just made my day!!
anyone know what amp don is playing through? the head and cab looks like a bandmaster reverb. and what pedal/box is he plugged into? he was a bossman, no doubt.
This is the first time I have seen anyone else do it been Ray Stevens guest starring on the Andy Williams show with Danny Thomas, please TH-cam that it is so cute definitely a different take
Nothing against Buck. I've always been a fan. But why would Don become a side man for Buck when he sings writes and plays so well. He could have been a big star w/o Buck.
My dad is Doyle Holly. He's the one in the Black (top hat, mustache and black cape) Awesome skit they did on Hee Haw!!

Everybody talks about Willie Cantu but Jerry was such a tight, great drummer as well.

When music was music.
Reminds me of his live in Los Vegas album
thats the wig roy clarke used
They skipped a verse.
Cute
They did this on the Buck Owens Ranch Show, and Buddy Alan paraded through pretending to be "Jones".
Back then men were men women were women. Society was stronger then. It's so confused anymore. So the music is affected by all this.

They were better together, Buck brought him down from Washington to play for him! Both were good friends of mine,
bakoboy63 really???????!!!!!…Buck Owens and Don Rich were your friends m???????!!!!!!!!….WOW I love Buck so so handsome I hope you will reply to this
@@sherryhannah9262 I’ve known them since I was 9

Hee Haw
This is pretty bad and I say this as a big fan of Buck Owens. It’s the Hee Haw stuff that even Gram Parsons mentioned about being embarrassed by
No, never, coasters version or nothing.
This is just as funny as Ray Stevens. I like Ray's voices better, though.
They were having fun ,....no talent today too bad
Buck had to be paid plenty for this crap. Definitely not the Bakersfields sound.
Nothing against Buck. I've always been a fan. But why would Don become a side man for Buck when he sings writes and plays so well. He could have been a big star w/o Buck.
Ehh, I think ShaNaNa did it better
This is terrible!
It's fantastic!!!
Then don't watch it!
