    You make it look super easy, dude. I attempted a 1.25mi ride on Sunday. Fell off halfway to the destination. I think I'm running at 45psi. I feel like my roads are a little rougher than yours. Of course, middle of the road is the smoothest. Over to the sides is where the slope and potholes are. I'm going back to practicing in parking lots!

    Very neat, and it looks like a blast to ride; I'm seriously considering getting one of these, but would like more info on them (known bugs, warranty, top speed, parts, etc.)

    I like keeping the tire pressure a little less than the required if your running on bumpy roads. If the pressure it's to high your feet will start move around on the pads.

    If you're new and learning. Don't bother with the strap or training wheels, they will just slow you down. Relax and make sure your footing is the same all the time. Perfect? No, that's not necessary. Turn off speed control if equipped that will get rid of the falling on your arse feeling. keep the wheel set responsive otherwise you have to use your flailing arms and thrusting pelvis to counter. Get 1/2 drunk or 2 hits of some good bud and then get on the thing.

    Increasing tire pressure reduces rolling friction. Might make it a bit less stable, though. Have you tried it?

    I have the 260wh model. I can get 15 to 20 miles out of it. Depends on how cold it is.

    I just ordered a Q3 from China. Can't wait either. Do you wish it would let you go faster and you'd still feel safe? I wonder if they have a hack out there.

    Great vid!
    Just got the Single Wheeled X3.. It is tough and dangerous man.. got the Strap and Training Wheels on... (tried it for about 30 mins).
    Maybe riding around just practicing will help? Or should I just get rid of the Wheels now?

      Dan Heather Learning to ride one of these teaches you something about yourself. Can you persevere? Are you patient? Are you patient with yourself?
      It's like learning to ride a bicycle. Some get it in a week some in a day. An hour per day riding along a handrail (I have one near my home on a river promenade) and you'll show noticeable progress in a few days. Little bird hops will become longer and longer until one day you "get it". It's an internal process and your body has to learn it instinctively.
      If on the other hand, you want to blast off and roar around on the first day, then a) get the two wheeled version or b.) sell the wheels now.

    How do you get on so smoothly? Soon as I put one foot on the paddle, it shifts from vertical. I have the riding part down but I cannot get on without holding something or jumping on with both legs.

    • @jamesskr1194
      @jamesskr1194 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +valdiviacchi The technology will only assist in balancing front to back as the motor engages, it will not balance for you right to left, although the duel wheelbase design assists in it standing by itself.
      This thing is seriously fun. Like a unicycle, without momentum there can hardly be balance. Hop on and lean forward, keep your weight centered. Back straight, shoulders relaxed, head up and look where you want to go!

    • @valdiviacchi
      @valdiviacchi 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sky Rover Boards Thanks. Finally realized that one does have to quickly but smoothly hop on and move forward and trust that it will balance. Any hesitation unbalances it.
