    this was the video that got me addicted. Not even a painful, long lasting injury and a three and a half year pause was enough to put me off EUCs. Today I am the proud owner of an Inmotion V10F, with 600km put on the clock by me.

    This was the video that originally got me interested in EUCs. I have been reading about them for a year now and bought my own one just three days ago. I have been practicing for about five 30-min sessions and can ride in a straight line for about 15 meters now - there is no longer stretch of smooth paved surface in my garden. Tonight I'm going to practice on the street for the first time.

      @@carlandroberts2358 LOL, yeah I would absolutely recommend it. I learned to ride a bit better, then I had a crash going down a curbstone that resulted in a badly rolled ankle that took more than half a year to fully heal. I quit riding for three and a half years after that, then started again and after one minute I rode better than I ever did before the break, to my own astonishment. I bought an Inmotion V10F and now I can ride competently and have more than 4.500km on that machine. I have done two 70km days and one 100km day too. Best tips I have: dont try to learn on a sh!tty 14'' wheel and always wear protective gear, especially helmet and boots

    Fantastic video! First one I've seen which really gets across how practical but also fun they are. Not great conditions but the wheel took care of your commute and you kept your speed up throughout. I can totally see why you'd find it relaxing once you got used to it. I am so destined to own one of these, though think I'll be going for an Airwheel or IPS 111 probably. Tried Segways in 2012 and fell in love so this is the perfect compromise.

      SoloWheela Big time. It's why they really appeal to me. Also Segways are banned on the roads and pavements in the UK so can only be used on private land, which makes them next to useless (and far too expensive).

    Good. Wheels like this are fun, but the REAL importance is when they stop being JUST "toys" and start being genuine tools. My own wheels are used as short-range personal transport on an almost daily basis. Sometimes several times in a day. As short-range, personal transport they are utterly superb - I think of mine as a pair of "magic shoes" that I can put on, and suddenly I walk twice as fast, for well over 5 miles (10 in the case of my Rockwheel) with no effort. They're not ideal for all situations, of course, no single type of transport is. However there is a very definite place for them in the "transport scheme of things".

      There are alternatives to the Solowheel which are half the price yet similar performance - in some cases having greater distance capacity. The technology keeps on improving and price will continue to fall I think. Check out the Airwheel, IPS and Rockwheel variants.

    Great video, nice to see how comfortable you are riding the Solowheel on different types of road.
    I just have my Solowheel for one week (today), and I think I have run about 40 km on it up until now. It is really great fun, and a great topic starter, but I am still using the practice band on the handle just in case and I still have difficulties with wet surfaces and small bumps and such in the road.
    What tire pressure are you running on your Solowheel?

    Did you ever took a flight with the Solowheel ?
    What i mean is : can u take it with you as a carry on ?
    I am getting one this week and also looking for the right bag or suit case or bagpack for transport, but all depends if i can take it as a carry on lougagge or not.

    Does the weight of the rider affect the speed? If yes, what is the max speed when a 260 pound person is riding on it?
    And, if anything happen to the tire portion, is it fixable or has to be replaced with a new tire?

    • @SolowheelInformation
      @SolowheelInformation  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Max speed is 10mph for security reasons. I don't think the weight of the driver has an influence.

      Why would you need two cars to be used for the same purpose? The purpose of this is for short commuting in ideal conditions so I do understand its limitations. I'm not advocating using this when its snowing outside.
