    Great tutorial Andrea! What was the scale you used to improv at the end?

    • @AndreaOcello
      @AndreaOcello  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Milo, happy you liked it. I'm mostly playing the blues scale (G minor), occasionally playing the arpeggio of the chords. I don't think that much in terms of scales when I play. I think more about the notes each chord is composed of.

    • @upallnite79
      @upallnite79 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Excuse me, meant to say, "Thought you were going to play the 20 second intro melody, everyone who plays this song skips the intro, it's pretty difficult, I think you're talented enough to play it the same way Deodato did.

    • @AndreaOcello
      @AndreaOcello  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@upallnite79 Ah ok, I didn't even think about it because I usually play the intro my own way. The original intro is beautiful indeed.

    can you explain what gears do you use to have is so beautiful rhodes sound ?

    • @AndreaOcello
      @AndreaOcello  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. It's been recorded directly through my audio interface (it's an old Focusrite Sapphire Pro 10, or sometimes I use the Scarlett 2i4). I also use a condenser mic placed beneath the Rhodes to capture the acoustic sound as well. Everything else, usually some EQ, auto-pan and reverb, is done afterwards in my DAW (Reaper).

    • @AndreaOcello
      @AndreaOcello  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Of course, just choose an electric piano sound similar to the Rhodes. Most keyboards have one. Other than that, it's pretty much like playing a normal piano.

    bravissimo, eumir deodato e' anche uno dei miei preferiti ,anche se io sono un sassofonista.Ti volevo chiedere se magari potevi fare una versione piu' d'accompagnamento per poter dare piu' spazio d'improvvisazione ad uno strumento solista come il mio,tante grazie e comunque complimenti davvero hai un tocco felpatissimo .a presto

    • @AndreaOcello
      @AndreaOcello  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Grazie tante. Sono contento di vedere così tante persone apprezzare Deodato.
      Per la base d'accompagnamento, io non ne ho per questo brano, mi spiace. In genere non faccio questi lavori. Comunque immagino qualcuno l'avrà già fatta su youtube, ci sono anche diversi siti che forniscono backing tracks fatte bene. O anche qualche app dove inserisci gli accordi e la genera automaticamente. Io a volte mi esercito così.

      @@AndreaOcello grazie, purtroppo io ho provato anche a pagamento ma non ne ho trovate ,era giusto per poter dare piu' spazio all'improvvisazione,che gia' faccio sulla tua base ,soltanto che suonare su un'altro solo non e' proprio il massimo . Rifaro' un'altro giro su internet sperando che ne esca fuori qualcosa ,grazie ancora per la tua gentilezza e buona musica
