Go under feet first. Gives you the angle you need to for the angle and leverage to push it on.

I have CCZB engine. I removed the shield but could not locate the wastegate actuator. 😢
So when do I actually need to put this on the wastegate? When it starts to rattle? OR is it something you do as a preventive measure?
Both, as long as the part that goes into the turbo is not moving, this will help

I had no rattle sound before I installed this
I’ve already started to get the wastegate rattle and it’s ever so slightly down on boost, could this fix it or is it already too far gone and I have to replace the turbo? The reliability on these cars are awful, already replaced full timing and water pump and I’ve only had it 2 months.
Hey Matt! Just came across your channel today. Also have a Mk6 in Candy White (2012 5-door). Have the same rattle, but it's on decel mostly. Turbo has about 100K Miles on it. You think I can get this installed with my arms from top down? I have no jacks. Doing this in an apartment basement garage with minimal options :D Let me know your thoughts.
It would be possible with the removal of the parts that are in the way

I only have one 16mm bolt on the axle shield. Idk what the other bolt is, anybody run into the same problem?
No. Just install a new bolt.

All depends on how the car was maintained and driven but not for a long time

Can anyone help me? When I accelerate in my mk6 gti at around 2-3k rpm I can hear a weird noise not a rattle nearly like a loud squeak or fart noise,thanks in advance.

It’s going to be the waste gate now! Not just the arm they are failing we all need to start complaining to Vw for a recall and fix!!
The best mod you can do to these cars that will save you a lot of money is to sell it before the next thing goes wrong with it !!!!
that's why you do matinence and replace things its a part of owning these cars
@@Matt_Pie The bad design leads to excessive and costly maintenance being required. The idea of a timing chain setup is that it lasts the service life of the engine, this point must have been lost on the design team !! Thankfully they do not make outboard boat engines the coastguard would not be able to keep up with the callouts due to breakdowns !!!
They fixed the timing chain issue in 2013... any gti after 2013 has no issues with timing chains. I replaced mine
