Can I run my stage 2 with 93 octane?
2:37 people need to stop calling it polluting, they didn't polute shit, they simply released the same amount of emissions, but it wasn't too the bullshit strict new modern emissions regulations standards that are ABSURD , so they get into trouble for NOTHING. And the VW, but all german cars unreliability misconseptions have spread for years because americans cant match their car vuild or engineering ability of the germans, and americans and other DONT maintain their cars how normal people are supposed to, because every cheap asshole wabts a car they can simply run foreverz but it dont work like that, thats why everyone cheap buys Japanese because they cant be arsed to maintain and service their vehicles
how do u do this without getting an engine light
You can install the egr when you have inspection after that you remove it again and again. Do it after each inspection!
2.0 tsi and anything Vw Money pits
Inspector here and fun fact and car/truck under 8500lbs needs to pass an emissions test for inspection in nys 25 years old and newer so in 2025 a car from 1999 is emissions exempt but 2000 and up needs to pass sucks but if you live up here just food for thought before cutting the cat🙂
The best diesel engine ever made for passenger cars. A 1.9 diesel of any variation besides the 150hp were all just stupidly reliable, power and good on fuel. Shame they swapped them out for the 2.0 TDI and the 1.6 TDI engines which were never as good.
liquid molys molygen is made for asian made and american made cars! when it came out they explained why liquid molys Leichtlauf High Tech SAE 5W-40 is made for euro cars specifically being thicker etc TRY IT OUT!!!
wow
bro has a big tip.
That's a CLEAN E90, those front lights have to be lci. I bought my car from WBC, gearbox was great but had to replace clutch sitting 4 weeks of driving.
Everybody glazing! I’m here for it! Mk6 4 life!!
I own a Volkswagen and I also own Hyundai.. The hyundai has just had regular preventative maintenance and it has 234k miles.. the vw has 140k miles and i've had more problems out of this car than i've ever had out of any other car.. I hate to say it but hyundai crushes volkswagen for reliability...
Yes test hybrid product against NexGen just bought didn’t get it yet. I’m kind of bummed out after watching your TH-cam video. Thanks for spending the money and making the video.
How do i know if i should delete my egr ?
Car starts stalling on you or not accelerating as it should
I’ve got a pd130 and it’s a joy to drive 240bhp 500nm
false i have a mate with a gtd so slightly different which had 180 bhp standard its now running 250 and 120ft/lbs more torque on standard clutch, no slip everything working as it should
1.5 dci (renault) 587k :D
How often should I change that pcv valve? I'm at over 72 k miles and I changed my oil almost 6 months ago buuuut only ran it over 830 miles and im almost done to no oil 😕 mostly cause I was out of the country for a while and wasn't driving much when I was home. What do you think?
As an owner of Golf mk4 1998, 1.9TDI 81kW (450k km), I approve of this video ! I do my maintenance and mods by myself except when it needs to be lifted. It's as simple as it gets, so even a self-thought nobody can fix it. And that's a great feature. It took me a while to find one that was not corroded (miserable technically, but perfect chassis) and I am slowly taking care of the technical stuff up to today I have changed and fixed almost all the driving-necessary features and parts (needs an engine-head change, possibly micro-cracked by previous owner, but still drives ok, just sometimes, rarely overheats). my whole interior is currently custom (except door panels) and I have a list of mods I am about to do I love the car, named it Rebecca Soon I am about to make a brand new paintjob, so Rebecca is shiny-new and all pretty. it's still semi-stock, but drives great. I quite recommend. And if you're in EU, the parts for this car are CRAZY CHEAP in comparison to anything else. (And you can find spare old parts basically everywhere)
I miss my old reliable VW bora with a 1.9TDi PD engine
What are the sizes of the pipes?
Most annoying voice ever
I have a 2018 GLI turbo 2.0l vw does specify 502.00 I'm wondering if the Molygen will help. I did notice I burned a little oil I do drive mostly highway mostly between 80-90 miles per hr not sure if I should give this one a shot to the regular liquid molly 502 5w40. currently I'm at 67000 miles.
Hey Matt! Thanks for the content! :) I recently bought a MK6. The engine shakes and pops slightly when stationary f exp on the traffic lights. It is noticeable on my but. When the AC is on, things get slightly better as the rpm is increased slightly. During normal driving the motor runs very well. Do you possibly know this problem in the scene? I found the problem on forums but no solution was ever posted.
I'd like to swap to an AHU or ALH to an older compact rear-drive car with a six speed manual transmission. It would weigh less than a Golf.
Hay I have a mk3 ahu and it has 13000 on it and the car is a rust bucket but free wait reduction I'm making about 350 fwhp
My car has auto parking and front and rear sensors , if I get the one with reverse camera Will the sensors still show on the display and work?
Much of the unreliability comes from poor maintenance habits and lots of tuning. These cars will haul ass from 30-100mph and lots of the people driving them drive them like they stole them. That usually means issues after constant beat downs.
My dads Skoda Octavia 2003 has 1.9 ALH and it STILL runs like a dream. He has around 450k miles on it and an average mpg of 62. Sure, it has rust here and there, but it NEVER failed him. He will drive it until it dies.
It’s fuel economy not gas mileage
Piston speed is relative to the lower rpm redline. Pistons speeds don’t vary much from engine to engine, i BELIEVE, but what do I know
Our brm is over 452,000 miles and gives us 46mpg
I don’t think the bew is all that similar to the ALH…I think the ahu is more like the ALH
You should a radiator protector mesh to cover up that cooler so it doesn’t get destroyed with little rocks it will also look better
I had to get a seal fixed because oil was leaking into the cylinder on the far right. Part was like 40 bucks but the job was like 1200 because the design VW went with on the MK6 had the camshaft being supported in a cheap way and had to be moved. They had to take apart half the engine just to get to the part. It's really not been any huge issues though. I'm at 110k miles and needed a clutch, fuel pump and master cylinder. I bought it brand new and I still enjoy driving it everyday. I do wish I would have got the 4 door version though. Next time....
The intake is a big restriction now. There’s upgraded oem ones
I own one! It is an auto and a 5 door car, but those were my only options (such is life). The motor has done 85,000, but the car also did over 150,000 miles with an earlier engine before a cam belt blew that one. And as a bonus, it's not rusted out! I might post something on my channel some day. Thanks for the good video! Subscribed.
At least someone on TH-cam appreciates budget cars and mods. You don't need 500HP to have fun and get up to speed. Everyone can have a good time with what they have.
Hi Matt! How do you get the back emblem to tilt for the backup camera? Is there something else to install?
Hey I was wondering where did you buy you’re black badges I searched on Amazon but didn’t find anything.
My mk4 golf has 240k miles. The Steering rack leaked and deeted the pump. No Ac and now the exhaust is rotted. Planning on buying a newer GTI pretty soon. .
285k miles without service? 😂 u wish… and I had planty of 1.9TDi engines.
Idk who says MK6 is unreliable. I havent had mine leave me stranded and just replaced my water pump at 150k (from factory).
Do you have a Tesla ? Do you look forward to Optimus washing a car ?
Thank you! I'm using the tire Shine to all of the exterior plastics of my car❤🎉
So you basically did a full straight pipe and nothing else?
Firstly the 1990s was the very best decade for vehicles because they were put together so well and that includes the early 2000s because my 1997 Toyota Hilux is so well put together and so over engineered its absolutely brilliant and l live in Australia and bean a commercial vehicle it was the last carburatored vehicle available in Australia and still has its original aisin carburator of course VWs are going to be reliable and in the 1990s the very best vehicle VW made was of course tge VW Taro
Take a shot everytime he says twork
