    Batman doesn’t usually get to retire and have a happy ending but that last scene where Bruce gives Alfred the goodbye he always wanted and you see Selina is with him, she’s actually wearing Bruce’s mom’s pearl necklace speaks volumes about how they both left that life behind for good

    It's a good conclusion to The Dark Knight Trilogy of the Batman franchise.
    Christian Bale still did an amazing job protraying as Batman.

    The Joker:
    "You see, their morals, their code. It's all a bad joke. Dropped at the first sign of trouble. They're only as good as the world allows them to be. I'll show you, when the chips are down... These "civilized people", they'll eat each other. See, I'm not a monster, I'm just ahead of the curve"
    And in this movie Bane proves just how right Joker was. Insight a little chaos and see how much people lose their minds

    14:10 - I'm pretty sure it's doing that in real life, and it's not a special effect. But I don't think that it was something they intentionally planned around, but the idea is that the front wheel and back wheel are actually on axes parallel to the bike itself - having the weapons there actually helps make that a circular shape
    Looking directly at the front of the bike, you have this shape of gun-wheel-gun ->> o[=]o If not for those guns, the wheel would just fall over and do a flat skid.

    Sometimes it just takes the right THC to hit you in the right spot, to make you join dots you didn't notice before. Recognising that it's Liam Neeson (Jedi Master Qui Gon Jinn) at the end, technically doesn't count as a plot twist; he was there from early in the first movie, lol. Onto the main point of this comment. Feel free to title it as a recognition of Catwoman.
    Bruce / Batman has the entire Wayne family wealth to fund his vigilante work. He can have all sorts of custom, fancy tech designed, built, tested, and delivered, all in a way that disguises that all the pieces are being sent to the same place, in case anyone figures out why. When he goes out to take a mission, he suits up KNOWING the suit itself is gonna keep him alive. He knows what hidden gadgets he has at his disposal. He knows how to use them, and has the instinct to grok when, and how to use them. Why? Because he's the INVENTOR. After every mission that he has some idea on how to improve for the future, he relays what he wants, and it's designed and delivered. This is high tech, cutting edge stuff, YEARS ahead of its time. This means that he has the BEST techs working on his gear. That's not only the suit, but the vehicles too, which are ALL war machines.
    Selina Kyle / Catwoman has an entirely different grounding. I don't know the lore, I don't read the comics etc so feel free to correct me. As I understand her, she is a VERY successful cat burglar, who can get the BIG value items from the richest in Gotham. She has zero issues with money to fund her vigilante work. She's also very independent. She doesn't have an army of support people to design, and build what she wants. I'm guessing she's very limited on how she can ensure her outfit protects her, and provides mobility to fight. Any weapons she uses, have already been built for someone else. She's quick on the uptake, to learn how to use Batman's custom vehicle, in the heat of battle, then be able to perform that task well enough to succeed. If she's injured, she's on her own. I don't doubt that she'll have lots of contacts all over the place for specific types of aid, but these will all be like rebel cells, where they don't know, or care about each other's roles.
    Underneath the suits, they're both just regular non-superhero, non-mutant, humans, who have trained their bodies to such a fine degree. Bruce steps out KNOWING he has an army of support behind him, Selina steps out knowing she's on her own, wearing the best she could build, and having to improvise where Bruce has muscle memory. It's almost like Selina is forever stuck in that Batman 1.0 phase, where they used mostly modified off-the-shelf stuff.
    That's not even mentioning Ann Hathaway as Selina / Catwoman. She was BRILLIANT. The ability to switch characters in an instant, is mesmerising. Her scene instigating the SWAT raid, and playing victim is gonna be studied by aspiring actors for years to come. Following Heath Ledger's Joker would have been a tough ask for anyone, but she was perfect.

Dear Trixy, as a personal recommendation, if you want to become a truly gothic girl, you must watch The Crow 1994 with the amazing Brandon Lee who happens to pass away tragically, in a way similar to Heath's death. As a side note, Heath inspired his joker look from the character of Brandon Lee's the Crow.

    The Dark Knight is the best of the three, but Bane is my absolute favorite villain and I happened to still like The Joker.
    As for John Blake, I’ve read a long while ago that his name was adopted (rumored real name was either Dick Grayson or Tim Drake; since John Blake is like John Doe of sort), and lost his parents in a tragic accident at a young age. He was also a Navy Seal afterwards before returning to Gotham to work in the Police Department and frequently visited the orphanage that had took him in when he was young. Shame that small detail wasn’t presented ‘cause it would have been a great way to know the full confidence on his skills to take the mantle as the next Batman or as Nightwing. That said, take it with a grain of salt but I personally like that backstory.
    Lastly, another nice detail in the mask party scene that Bruce Wayne went there without a mask, implying that Batman is his real persona while Bruce is just a cover up to his real identity.

    • @Dagger_323
      @Dagger_323 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Bruce also says to Selina, “Bruce Wayne, eccentric billionaire,” when she asks him, “who are you pretending to be?” Further implying that he’s merely portraying a persona as Bruce Wayne while his true identity is the Caped Crusader.

    Christopher Nolan is a fan of Bond which is why the plot is thicker than a typical Batman comic. This movie also came out the same year as Skyfall. A couple of the plot twists in this are very similar to The World Is Not Enough. Catwoman plays almost like a Bond girl here compared to previous interpretations of the character. Bane sounds like Sean Connery speaking through a BDSM mask, maybe because Tom Hardy is British. Connery could have actually played Bane when he was younger, he was 6'2" bodybuilder before he became Bond. Bane is normally portrayed as a 7 foot roided out wrestler like the ones you'd see back in the 90s. Hardy did a great job, despite being average height. The role required a considerable amount of bulking up.

  • @plothole181

    Unfortunately for people who were watching these movies when they first came out, an initial casting announcement listed Marion Cottilard by her character's name from the comics rather than the alias that she used during most of film and thus spoiled that big twist at the end. I'm sure there were people who didn't pay attention to big announcements like that or just forgot by the time the movie came out, but it sucked for people who knew the character and saw that early announcement.

    • @miguelangelrodriguez6876
      @miguelangelrodriguez6876 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually the announcent spoiling twist was in Batman Begins, when they said that Lian Neesom play Ra's Al Ghul, and later they say no, that he plays Ducard. As Joseph says, the Miranda/Talia thing was spoiled by the set pictures (although there were rumours about it long before that pictures came out).

In the scene where Bane and his mercenaries stormed blackgate and freeing the inmates, Bane will notice the Joker sitting in a cell wearing a straight jacket. They will look at each other for a minute and Bane will walk off continuing to free the inmates but leaving Joker locked in his cell, hinting that he knew about the Joker and the things he gone and realized that he couldn't be trusted

    If you are going to watch the DC movies, I think they are very good in general. You can skip Wonder Woman's sequel (1984). It's one of those cases where the sequel is not at the level of the original (I only liked the end credits scene). I didn't like Birds of Pray, but there are mixed reviews, some people liked it. Also in Justice League, I liked some aspects of the original, the director's cut is darker, longer plot and better story.

    It’s not perfect but man of steel is still my favorite superman movie. You should definitely watch batman: mask of the phantasm.

    When it came out I thought it was the worst of the trilogy. Now it might be my favourite.

    If you think it through Bane and Talia, for a brief period of time, did accomplish what the other 2 villains couldn't. Ra's wanted to desestablished eveything around Gotham, lose the faith on the corrupt institutions and then destroy the city, Scarecrow wanted to scare everyone, they could't leave their houses after Bane took control everything went to hell and even the cops hid in their own houses, being too scared to come out, like Foley, and the Joker wanted to take control of the city and impln the idea of complete anarchism. He said, ''In times of hardship all the civilized people will become monsters and will eat each other, people's morals and ideas is a bad joke, they're civilized as the world allows them to be'' and that also comes to play here, when Bane took control of the city and the rich began to been throwdown, the morals and ideas didn't matter, this also enhanced of course by the criminals bane set free on the streets, but the ''civilized'' people also took their part on it.

    "Directorship" is a noun that refers to a position held as head of a company. A job title.
    I think you mean that Nolan is brilliant at "Directing" - a verb which refers to the craft of controlling the evolution of a performance

    Good reaction.
    We watch you react to our favorite movies. We like to see and hear our favorite parts that make the cut for show. However, it is very hard to watch. When your reactions are 2 to 5 times LOUDER than the parts that you overlay.
    We can't hear our favorite parts we want to see. and you react to.
    Hope, maybe you can do something about this. Maybe watch and listen to your videos. Without headphones or earbuds. From a different source to see if you understand what I mean. Try to listen to the movie part.
    This not meant to be disrespectful to you.
    Regards, Rollerball

    Bane is the same actor as "Private Pyle" in Full Metal Jacket 😉

    • @mokane86
      @mokane86 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is false.
      Bane is Tom Hardy.
      Private Pyle was Vincent D’Onofrio.
      There is like a 20 year age difference…
      Vincent plays Kingpin in the Daredevil universe.
      There is a Full Metal Jacket connection, but it is Matthew Modine, who plays Joker in FMJ and the new police chief guy Foley in this Batman.

    Although you never saw "Batman and Robin", I will say this much. That film RUINED Bane for a lot of people when that film came out. But after "Dark Knight Rises" redeemed the character, he was finally given a proper treatment. Was it completely accurate to the comics? No, but most comic book movies aren't a 100 percent accurate. However, it definitely redeemed the chatacter from being made into a joke in "Batman and Robin, into finally being treated as the big threat he always was with this film. Now, WB needs to make a big screen live action movie that redeems Poison Ivy and/or Mr. Freeze, and we'll be all set.
