I can’t believe how big Cornelius has gotten! And his manners have improved too….no steak thieving! This is another great, calm video, your interaction with your pup is lovely to see. The food looks very tasty, and the camp very cozy. A well made place all around, and it looks great to spend a little down time in. Thanks for the visual treat!

Lovely video. Almost 60 years ago my grandparents lived a very comfortable rural life on their farm. Not quite or anything like a Viking life, but it was uncomplicated, or that was how it felt for my first first years living on and off with them while dad worked across the country.
It gave me an idea of what living a thousand years ago may have been like, only with the greater conveniences that were always being invented.
Regards to both you and the pup and thanks again for your videos... and the memories they stir within me.

This was a fine visit to Cimbrer Camp: you showed and demonstrated how to use a good number of period-style objects. I also enjoyed the pictures you set up with various lamps and firelight. I felt like I was visiting the Camp! Equally, I was curious to see how the Camp is holding up as time passes. It still looks functional and enchanted!

In my younger days when we went fishing, we always brought butter, a sac of potatoes and onions and we'd cook our trout in such a fashion it was a delicacy. Of course, we had to carry a canoe and paddle on a lake and set up our camp. Spring has just sprung here and the river swoll and where the fish can be caught is another story. I wish to see what will happen next as this winter here was harsh. Thank you and TH-cam for providing to us with your wonderful videos. 🌄🍁🌞

@@cimbrerbushcraft-vikingheritag Your videos help me so much, We had rain here yesterday and as I went on a long walk with my hat and leather coat on as it is still cold I saw the riverbanks overflowing and our usual trail flooded. Quite a desolation with trash that people litter along. There will be work to do to clean out the mess. The wild geese came back and springtime is about here. Cornelius and you helped me put a smile back on my face. 🌞8Celcius and gloomy here today. 🍁

Nice video. I've been back from my vacation for three weeks . Again in the German Eifel i made a nice Viking hike there in a sandstone area called the Teufelsslucht. There is also a beekeper who sells mead from his own honey ,which is really delicious, he makes it from meadow flowers and honey from the trees . He thought it was nice and special that i was dressed as a viking and therefore he gave me a bottle of honey beer , this beer is called Odin's brew . Greetings from the Netherlands 👌🏼😉🇳🇱🇩🇰

I have seen a video tutorial about how to bind the brace around your calf. The normal people do it with a wool brace from the foot up to their knee. Because it's wool, it stays in place BUT...if you take other material it wouldnt. So the solution: do it in the opposite direction, from the knee down to the foot. This way you can use even other material then wool and the brace will stay in place ;-)
