Man, one of the best albums that came out in 2016...Absolutely brilliant band...RIP Aleah, she had a beautiful voice and was an amazing person that unfortunately was taken for us :/ Really sad, but at least her legacy will go on

Her former partner/guitarist announced on April that all the material Aleah recorded for a solo project will release July 1, 2020 for those interested the Album will be titled simply Aleah.
Great request here! The band released another album after she passed away calling themselves "Hallatar". Definitely worth checking out. Her words and poetry.
Different band technically, since the members in Hallatar other than Juha (Tomi and Gas Lipstick) were not in ToE.
I'd say it's more of a tribute by friends then a successor.

So sad but extremely beautiful music with mesmerizing vocals from a South-African dark angel, and Kai Hahto (Wintersun, Nightwish) on drums. This album "Hour Of The Nightingale" has been ranked the 2nd best of 2016 at Metalstorm.net.

This and Hallatar....beyond beautiful. Try Swallow The Sun too.
Such a beautiful, haunting voice tragically taken far too soon. The title track #Hour of the Nightingale is simply stunning in it's construction and playing, a true masterpiece.
Love Trees Of Eternity! It's so touching. I'm not a huge fan of doom, but love this album.
I love this band. I discovered them right after my wife ha gotten sick and was in the hospital. Sadly my wife met a similar demise after 15 months in the hospital. Breaks my heart every time I hear them. But, I still love them and listen. Thank you for covering these guys.

@@australianmade86 it is okay. She passed August 3rd 2017. 6:47 in the morning. I will never forget . It is simply a part of life though. We have to find the things we can to give us strength and to pull through. In a way it helps to listen to things like this when you are down as you realize there are so many more out there feeling the same way. For a short while I felt my life was over. I then realized that it was simply my new life beginning.

@@australianmade86 i mean the guitar work is similar to symphonic black metal. While black metal has a satanic past it doesn't technically need to be part of the music. But I agree doom fits better.
