Not many reactions to Hallatar on TH-cam, so really appreciate this. Diolch.
Aleah had the voice of an angel. Her work with STS and Trees of Eternity stand as all-time great moments. Her life being tragically cut short still hurts, and I'm just a stranger half way across the globe. I can't imagine the pain of those closest to her. Hallatar is often too much of a heart punch for me to listen to, but they are an amazing band. I think Tomi's range of vocal tonality on this record is mind-blowing. And of course, given the superlative nature of the rest of the band, it's going to be max level melodic doom.
That was beautiful Pedro..., the way you explained your loss and the music. This tune was fantastic. Thanks for the video.

The whole Album is soooo awesome and spiritual, if i could cry i would.
Amazing reaction as always guys. Such an emotional song. Hallatar is just something else, you can really feel (and possibly relate) the agony and pain in their music. Oh, And I really wanna see you two wearing Teemu Pukki -jerseys!

Me and my wife listened Aleah a lot. We really liked her voice. As you may think, we were very sad when she passed away in 2016. Imagine how I'm feeling now when my wife lost the battle against cancer last year... I still like Aleah very much but is very hard to listen. As you said, there are still wounds under the scars.

I lost my mom in March 2018 , still she is the first one think about when i wake up and the last one before i fall into sleep ❤wintersun and Sentenced music/ lyrics has helped me a lot after lost of my mom

you should give a listen to Shape of Despair, especially album Monotony Fields. They are one of the pioneers in Finnish Funeral Doom scene.

I'm amazed that Swallow the Sun didn't make it to your top albums this year. It's thematically basically a sequel to this album.
It didn't hit me....I felt that was to linear in sound and atmosphere.
Some songs leave you wordless, this was one of em.
