      Get Voigtlander Nokton Classic 40mm f/1.4. I got it used without front and back caps. It is my favorite lens at t he moment. For this little lens, I would trade like 5 canon 70-200-2.8. Yes, five for just one :)

    I had the Fringer EX-FX Pro and returned it. I had just moved to the fuji xt3 after a lifetime of shooting Canon. I really wanted to stick with the Canon glass. I used the Fringer for a few weeks and decided that it wasn't for me. It did work, but it did not work out. My biggest gripe was the aperture ring. It feels really narrow and cheap. It's also hard to access. I have big hands and my fingers barely fit into that little nook where the aperture ring is. Using it with my 70-200 f2.8 lens was the worst. In the end, I decided to move to fuji glass to stay light and high quality. I actually ended up having enough canon glass to trade in for all the fuji glass i wanted. I really wanted the Fringer EX-FX Pro to work for me, but it didn't. I'm happy that it has worked for you! I just want to warn people with big hands to proceed with caution. Much respect!

    • @HVRIS
      @HVRIS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I definitely agree! The aperture ring does feel cheap. I would always go for Fuji glass over canon but this was the best compromise I could find for now. Hopefully if money is more accessible I can switch to Fuji fully haha. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me ✌🏼✌🏼

    This is perfect for those transitioning from Canon to Fuji, i just bought the Fringer pro 2 & apart from the odd freeze now and then! Its great, especially with the 18-35mm sigma the subject separation is something you just can’t get with any Fuji zoom in its zoom range..

I will be keeping some of my Canon lenses, specifically 35-1.4, 85-1.4 and 135-2. Will get rid of big ugly 70-200-2.8. Already sold three big Sigma "art" "overweights"...

    Thanks for posting. I recently bought the Fringer EF-FX Pro II, and have been using it with my Sigma 150-600C on a Fuji XT-3. So far I’m happy with the results...I do a lot of bird and nature photography. The only downside is the combination isn’t quite as good at picking up birds against a complex background as say, the native Fuji 100-400. The trade off is MUCH longer reach. I have learned to adjust my shots (and expectations) accordingly.

    • @HVRIS
      @HVRIS  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the downside is definitely the autofocus not being as good as native Fuji lenses. But you get that reach which you wouldn’t have got otherwise! I recently got the canon 135mm f2 which makes it a 200mm f2. This for me was a great solution at a reasonable price but I know my focus won’t be as tight

      Hey Patrik, I’ve found it to work fine. It uses all the functionalities. If you are comparing to Fuji lenses, they a definitely faster. I would only get it if you have a unique focal length that Canon provides and Fuji doesn’t. I hope this answers your questions. ✌🏼

      I’ll be honest, some lenses work better than others. I would try to find a review of that lens on a Fuji online. Generally, if the lens is fast, it will work fine on a Fuji. If it’s already not the fastest lens for the canon system, then it will just be worse. (By fast I mean autofocus responsiveness)

Right now I'm considering buying the XT3 wich I think is better (minus the full-frame) and cheaper and cheaper than the Canon EOS R. I do recommend it if you have canon glass, the only downside is that I do find the Fuji glass to be a bit better in terms of continuous focus. However, lenses like the Sigma 18-35 on Fuji don’t exist. Therefore, you get a super unique look! It’s all trade off, I say it’s worth it
