    I would make a solid wood stand it's very easy, that's 1,000 lbs on that stand. Especially if you have children in the house God forbid it collapses. Overall it's a very nice set up. 👌

    The one bouncing on the bottom has swim bladder disease; it usually comes from overfeeding. He might still be able to live if you stop feeding him for 3-4 days, otherwise he'll die. You probably want to isolate him to make sure. If other ones are doing that definitely lessen food you're giving them.

    • @CuteFishOnly
      @CuteFishOnly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately he has a permanent swim bladder issue for over a year now. I had done many things to help him, but nothing has worked. He is still eating and doing ok. The day that we feel he is suffering, we will euthanized him.

    i’ve been thinking about getting this tank since i first saw it during petsmart’s black friday sale. i ended up not getting it because of the reviews about the stand and some leaks. your video, as well as a few others have made me want to get it for sure. i will be building a stand though, should be much more secure and better quality. is your inner silicone lining overall in good shape? im thinking about relining it myself when i get it. great video!

    • @CuteFishOnly
      @CuteFishOnly  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. The inner linings of silicone are great. No problem there. As for the stand… i know others never have a problem with it. When you make your purchase, make sure to look at the stand closely for defects from transportation. If there are no defects, you should be ok. I am some what careful when changing water. Get a little spill here and there. Just clean it off right away and you shouldn’t have problem. Building your own stand is a great idea as well. You can get this stand for 25% off if you play petsmart treat trail.

      28 inches is quite large. They might have problems turning in the tank because the widths is tight. Sometimes if they try to turn and not enough room, they will end up hurting themselves and can lead to infections and/or death. I think a 220 gallons will be the minimum for that shark.

      I know others who have the same tank without problems. The most important thing is to make sure you don’t spill and let water sit at its base. I always use towels and put on my floor when i change water so any spill will get absorbed quickly. I have seen other people actually built a small base out of real wood and put the stand on. That is a smart solution to water spill problem.

    I just looked it's 650.00 and you can still use a 20% off coupon and it stays around this pice since I've been looking at it for the last few months trying to make up my mind if I want to buy this or by a tank cheap that's used and build a stand it always comes down to time or money

    this is The absolute worse tank and stand set up. The stand is cheap made with very very low quality particle board or plywood and if it gets WET its over. It will warp and your tank will shift to try and compensate only to bust the seals an leak. plz upgrade the stand cmon

      It has swim bladder problem. Been like that for a year now. We tried everything. I don’t expect it to live long, but I keep it as long as it still eating and active. If I see it starting to deteriorate, I will euthanize it.
