FEAR was the first game I ever really noticed high resolution textures. I remember being in awe at that I could read every word on the signs.
i agree, before games like doom 3 which was considered as top graphics for example had terrible textures
They need to make Alan Wake 2, I think I've played through the whole thing 3 times now.
Play Control, it's the prequel of Alan Wake and there's a DLC where you play as Alan Wake
There's the spinoff game Control. If you haven't played that, give it a go.
Its coming sometime next year ig
Ah yes I heard of it I didn't know Remedy made it, it looks quite interesting. I much more prefer these sort of games to run n gun stuff. Stuff with story and suspense.
@@XrisD147 Well, make no mistake Control has a lot of run and gun in it but also a lot of story and suspense, aswell as jaw-dropping visuals.
Loved the video man. Made me reminisce on the golden age of video games for my friends and I. Thank you 🙏
Wait... Mirror's Edge came out in 2008??!! 😨😰😱🤯
Damn you Time!!! Stop making me age so fast.
My mind immediately went to Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, and Gears of War.
I was hoping he was gonna mention Infamous when he mentioned Darksiders because they look just alike graphic wise.
One game that nobody remembers but i thought the graphics were crazy . The chronicles of ridick escape from butcher bay .
Yo with you being a huge fan, how can you NOT put MGS4 on this list?!?! I was so shocked it didn't make it.
Ikr it had amazing graphics
I remember playing as a kid and being freaked out by how real it looked haha.
@@angelgjr1999 They wasn't any PC game at the time, that looked this good!
or mgs 3
@@MoviesNGames007uk There really wasn’t. Maybe Half Life 2 but that’s it.
Playing Motorstorm on my PS3 (the first game I loaded up when I got the console) was a jaw dropping moment - huge step up graphically with that console. Mirrors Edge, Killzone 2, AC2, Bioshock.... incredible.
Smash bro’s melee on GC holds up
i played it in oct 2020 glad to see you added this masterpiece to the list.
2010 games shouldn't count, that's the same as counting the year 2000 as a '90s year
One game/s I miss are the condemned games. I really enjoyed the style of those games and the way they felt to play, it felt heavy and every swing felt tiring, personally I loved them at the time and I wish they got more love
i tried replaying it about a year ago i couldnt get through it but man in its time it was so good
I feel like Midnight Club Los Angeles had good graphics.
Dub Edition was pretty good too, tho not sure its date.
@@crazyeyez1502 I forgot about dub edition, it’s up there too
I loved Alan wake back when it came out on 360 I’ve been waiting for a proper sequel ever since
Alan Wake is beautiful
Every time I think of alan wake I cant stop thinking about Kitty 0706
@@dontmindmefolks161 Rest in Peace Kitty0706 :(
Opinions on the game itself will vary a lot but Final Fantasy XIII is still one of the best looking games I've ever played. For a 2009 game it still holds up easily
I'm still waiting for a True Crime NYC remaster
Hell yez
Is this confirmed? I also hope they remaster saints row 2.
that game was under appreciated
This vid Makes me wanna revisit some old games like IGI,bully,Freedom fighters, total overdose, the first 3 call duty's, the original infamous and metal gear solid (old one's)
Splinter Cell 1 does need a remake with ray-tracing in mind, this time ... )
Now that’d be something! A splinter cell game with ray-tracying as the primary use of light 🤑
Yea.. and you would still retain that sweet nostalgic 30fps - with RTX on - with your nVidiA 3XXX Fuckall Edition 😂
3rd person games were running on all cylinders in this era. Loved it
I wish they would remaster more games
Yes. Like Arkham Asylum for PC, Dead Space
Mirror's Edge was just something else. Loved it
FEAR is a legend. Glad to see it receive some attention
Jake you need to do another video like this, again about more games of the 2000's that we should play on 4k that look still good, and also maybe a video of this topic but with 2010 to 2017, i don't know.. Awesome video my man, i'll looking forward to play those games on 4k
The first thing that came to my mind was ac 1 😂
Legend of Zelda Windwaker still holds up
where is resident evil 4 it's looks so good even today
Yeah I was surprised not to see it here.
Gameplay still holds up beautifully too. I don't think it needs a remaster.
Great list but I missed Far Cry, first game still holds up pretty well.
How about Def Jam: Fight for NY?
dunno why but I loved the game back in the days and It looked pretty solid for 2004 graphics
I’ve kid b
💯💯💯
Not only graphics are impresive in FEAR but also sound design is amazing.
