    I live in Queen Creek, have a Queen Creek address, all my mail is handled through the Queen Creek post office, but my address is considered Pinal County. I'm told by the US Postal Service that I am a Queen Creek resident, NOT a San Tan Valley resident. I have been in this same home for a little over ten years. I register to vote and pay Pinal County taxes, but am told by Pinal County and the Postal Service that I do not live ion San Tan Valley, I live in Queen Creek. Just saying...

      Well you said it right there… you pay Pinal County taxes. That means you live in Pinal County. If you never sell your home, it will never matter.

    We are building a home. We have a queen creek address, but I just noticed that we are in Penial county. We are about 8 minutes away from queen creek market place. Are you saying we live in San tan? Very confusing😮

      If you are paying Pinal County taxes then yes you are in San Tan Valley BUT have a Queen Creek address. 8 minutes can be 8 miles give or take. Closeness doesn't have any bearing especially because the county line is literally just a line. Have you ever seen people jump back and forth between the US and Mexico country line?!
      Before June 23, 2009, the area now known as San Tan Valley, used the name Queen Creek, not because it was part of the town, but because the Queen Creek post office delivered mail to this area and without a name, it had to be called something. If the area had a Queen Creek address when San Tan Valley was officially created, any property that already had a Queen Creek address (even if nothing was built there yet), it kept the Queen Creek address. It's not that big of a deal although it is different taxes, different sewer and garbage services.

    What’s better Queen creek or Gilbert??

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Better for who? Some will say Gilbert. Some will say Queen Creek. And each town is growing massively every year, changing dynamics along the way. I think budget will have a lot to with deciding which town to call home as well as how far someone is willing to commute for employment depending on where they work. Too many variables to say one is better than the other. Both are FANTASTIC places to call home.

    Where are the bars and resturants going in? Are they going in near the marketplace or more in the library area?

    What bars and restaurants do you know coming to downtown QC?

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  ปีที่แล้ว

      The town of Queen Creek and the land owner are still working out the specifics. I am happy to say the bees are locally owned and operated, they are not corporate restaurants, they will be a great addition to the newly forming downtown Queen Creek.

    How are schools in the Queen Creek area?

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  ปีที่แล้ว

      There are som really good ones ...and not so good ones. It all depends on the school. Great website to do some research is GreatSchools.org.

      Queen Creek Highschool has like 12 suicides a year.

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mannycarrillo6595 that is a very big exaggeration. Since 2017, five students from Queen Creek High School have committed suicide which is disturbingly high but it's not the number you stated.

      @LivinginPhoenixArizona Well, I was a student in Arizona for many years, and I can say there's a reason Arizona's education system is ranked low.

    • @mannycarrillo6595
      @mannycarrillo6595 ปีที่แล้ว

      @mtownbound I am old enough to say that thanks because I went through the AZ school system for 6 years. Please, don't try to shut me down just because you're old and I'm not. I don't like gen Z just as much as you. I don't know why you would assume I don't love God and Jesus. I go to church every Sunday and spend time with my friends at church. I'm not a stupid ass blue haird liberal guy with painted fingernails 😆. In my off time, I'm either working on my truck, camping, fishing, or going shooting. I think what the problem is that funds from the state of Arizona do not properly reach the classroom. From my time in school, teachers always talked about being underpaid/ undercompensated. Our available tech for students to use and learn from was very outdated (which matters in a digital world like ours), and there was not enough care transferred into students from faculty of all sorts to make students feel like they actually should try. I also believe that younger people have also unfortunately shifted towards a general culture of not working/ not caring, and that attitude definitely seeps into grade performances.
