    I've relied on and carried my Gerber multi tool for many many years and it's one of a handful of edc tools that I never leave home without. I need a replacement pouch for my tool, and this looks to be exactly what I need

    I'll be honest I've frustrated with Gerber lately, but this sheath system is sexy. Great idea I may snag this if it'll fit my Leatherman surge. I own the Gerber suspension, the Gerber mini suspension and the Gerber diesel 600, plus countless other knives, belts and tools.

    Will my gerber BMF fit? lol Still looking for some to make me a custom sheath for my BMF that fits A: a large multi tool B: genuine military compass C: Zippo lighter and D: mini LED maglite on the side. Looks like I need to take up leather crafting.

    Not all Gerber products are made in China. The Berry Amendment requires items used by the US Armed Forces be made in the USA. Gerber has many items which have National Stock Numbers, i.e. available for order through the DOD stock system- they are made in the USA. I have a 600 multi-tool, it is stamped USA as country of manufacture. As for the "cheap steel" comments, the 600 is the most carried multi tool downrange- I know because I've been there. I have never seen, or heard of one breaking. And, if it does Gerber replaces it free. I have nothing but good things to say about Gerber. I especially like their price points, i.e. affordability. Don't get me wrong, I hope they return ALL manufacturing to America.

      I've got a USA-stamped 600 I bought in 1996. It's survived 3 sheaths, 7000 miles of house moves, and untold numbers of times dropped in all sorts of crap most multitools would run home to momma afterwards. Yeah sometimes Gerber has some false starts, but I'll keep coming back because of that 600.

      I've got an older one made back in the mid 90's. It survived ship board life for at least 2 years. Even now the black coating is holding up well. Couple of small spots of surface rust, but that's it. I now use a Center Drive and a 600 for work. They are light use now, but they freakin work when I need them. I keep a little 400 in my glove box with a bit kit. You can do a lot with that.

    Looks kinda like a rip-off of the 5-11 tactical single mag holster I use for my Leatherman Wave... Crappy Velcro aside, how well does it hold the original MP600 blunt nose pliers?

      I did alot of research on it and the reviews Are mediocre at best 3 out 6 stars mostly alot of complaints on it

      @@waldo-ot6ul it's an absolute POS! I'd love to explain further and tell you how I really feel about it but youtube wouldn't support the language. There are very few products that I've purchased that would be described as "manufactured with intent to deceive for monetary gain w/ malice." lmao. This piss of shit is one. Drop into your local military surplus and snag a few single molle pouches. I have old clip pouches with "dot" closures that my grandfather used in ww2 that are far superior in usability and design.

    It's just a thick pile of velcro panels that won't fit as much stuff as the normal Leatherman Charge case.

    The Velcro SUCKS on this. It's always coming undone. I have the quad sheath. It's a fantastic idea but needs better Velcro I use mine as an EDC for gerber multitool and a flashlight.

    • @universaljoint
      @universaljoint 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It must be a Gerber thing. I've had one (not the model in this video) for less than a year, and the velcro doesn't hold any longer, and the sheath itself is falling apart. It's really incredibly poor quality. My multitool just fell out last week when I was running up my steps! The worst is, that I haven't even taken it camping yet!

    I love Gerber equipment, but the sheaths are garbage. Mine is falling apart. My friend has had one for years (military issued) and has had the sheath replaced so many times. I honestly would have any trouble trusting this or any sheath from Gerber at this point. Mine fell OUT of mine last week and I've worn mine minimally.
    The one in the video Looks nice, though bulky.
