No, Thank you for taking the time to leave a post! I always wonder what I should be posting. And when people take the time to leave a post or press like it lets me know that I'm going in the right direction.
Hi there, wen I first started driving I though I needed to turn the wheel really hard when hitting curves. After some practice I learned to gently direct my wheel into the curve. It's the same thing with scrolling. How long have you been scrolling and what saw do you have?
Love watching you working. An artist producing pieces I’m jealous of. As a new ‘scroller’ I’m doing my best to follow but your skills are on a different planet.
Hi Paul! Thank you for taking the time to leave a post. If you have Facebook please contact me there. I would love to help you get started on your scroll saw journey. As I've said in most of my videos my main reason for posting the videos is so that everyone else can get the joy I get when I create something. My name on Facebook is Mytoya Pritchett. Make sure you let me know you found me on TH-cam. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Hi there, in this video I am using a DeWalt 788 scrollsaw. I also own a Delta 20 inch scroll saw. It looks exactly like my DeWalt except for it is blue and gray. How long have you been scrolling?
@@Mytoya2 thanks for replying lovely. I started scrolling around 5 years ago but haven’t done any in the last 3 years. Work has been too manic with covid (I’m a nurse). I started again about a month ago. I purchased a ryobi scroll saw. I noticed how smooth your scroll saw is. My does have a lot of vibration however I haven’t attached it to a surface yet. So a couple of things I’m going to try is attaching it to a work bench (just got a new one) also maybe using a different blade I’m using the ryobi ones. Also maybe the wood I’m using is too hard/thick. At the moment I use pine wood. Any suggestions would be so appreciated
@@joanneshaw3071 in every video I've posted I am using a number five flying Dutchman scroll reverse blade. Here is the link to purchase blades. woodenteddybear.com/collections/flying-dutchman-scroll-saw-blades/products/scroll-reverse I've been scrolling for 21 years now and these are the blades that I have found to be true. If you would like I could send you a few. Do you have a Facebook or an Instagram page? I don't recommend people being blade junkies. That's why I will usually send a few out so they can try them.
What a great idea for the mini charcuterie boards. They turned out GREAT and how exciting to hear you're opening a shop in July!!! You are so talented. I've always heard Charcuterie pronounced Shar not Char (as in charring a steak).
Don't push to hard. Your blade should not have a bow in it when you are cutting. If this was a thicker material I don't think it would cut as fast. I think this was half inch bamboo.
I say work with what you have. I prefer a pinless blade. When I got my DeWalt years ago I figured I had 90 days to return it if I didn't like it. Well I love it and still have it.
Thank you very much for sharing your talent.
You're welcome! 🤗
Great detailed tutorial. Thanks for sharing
❤️
Hermoso trabajo la que estoy tan asombrada
Nunca pensé que se puede hacer cosas tan delicadas y hermosas
You can make all kinds of beautiful things with a scroll saw. What saw do you have right now and are you actually working on any projects?
How cool are these. Awsome.
Thank you! 🤗
Wow!!
You are so great at wood working.
Thank you Friend!🤗
Those are so neat! Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic! You make it look easy and I’m sure it’s not.

Thank you so much! I figured I was saying it wrong. Lol Well not that I'm making Mini-Chars it's right again. Thank you for posting...
Hi Mytoya, Great work, but, how did you finish them?
They are Bamboo and do not need a finish on them. I put a mineral oil on then but I never put anything else on them.
What brand of scroll saw are you using. You make it look so easy.
Hi there, I'm using a DeWalt 788 scroll saw. 🤗
How do you cut so quickly around corners without snapping the blade?
Don't push to hard. Your blade should not have a bow in it when you are cutting. If this was a thicker material I don't think it would cut as fast. I think this was half inch bamboo.
I have a Ryobi scroll saw that only takes pin blades. Do you think pin blades are good and can do like pinnless.

I will try to do that right now
