As a former evangelical one of my favorite pastimes is finding friends who didn’t grow up in it and showing them clips like the one of Trump’s new advisor ending her sermon, and watching their reaction as I explain the concept of speaking in tongues. It’s more entertaining than video games.

This drunken babbling is absolutely ridiculous and has nothing to the with speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues is meant to be speaking in an actual language that another human being can understand. I don’t know how the concept got twisted into that, but it’s ludicrous and disgusting

In France, bells have names too. Each and every one of them, if they are in a church tower, gets a name. Notre Dame Cathedrale in Paris had 16 bells, all named after saints.

I know this is a few years after this was first uploaded on u-tube, but it is the first time I have seen this episode. It is the closing feature about the animal shelter/rehabilitation that has me in tears! i LOVE your humour, Russell, but i love even more your heart! Animals that would otherwise be euthanized being given a home and a LIFE ... beautiful. Thank You for showing us, on occasion, the positive side of human life! If only our respective politicians in the countries that we call "home" would reveal a similar empathy to ALL of life's problems/challenges/opportunities! Thank You for your compassion!
I love what Iman Amrani is doing. When I was in my 20s, I had the idea that it would be great to have a group of men and women get together to talk about ideas of masculinity and femininity - all strangers, with the prospect of sex with one another off the agenda (because I believed that would make everyone more willing to be candid and honest). I knew I would be willing to talk openly in such a group in the interest of learning more about how men think. Unfortunately, every time I brought up this idea, someone (almost always a man) would say it was impossible for a man to sit in a room full of women without considering the possibility of sex. And I suppose, for many women at that time, it would have been equally difficult to sit with a group of men and not view them for potential relationships. I'm glad Amrani is trying to have some nonjudgmental conversations with men. Can't wait to check out the show.

I really hate how much “self-partnered” has been taken out of context. It’s the only thing that anyone took out of an excellent interview, and, granted, it does sound very pretentious, but really what she said was that it was a way not to feel pressured to get into a relationship and have children.
His style of comedy is annoying, this Sean Walsh guy... no way he understands self-partnered. People like this wouldn't believe the existence of asexuality either.
It sounds like a decision to be single rather than a default and like you as an individual are as strong as a partnership.

Also choosing to be single sounds like you are choosing not to have a relationship and what she was saying is that at the moment she is focusing on her relationship to her self. It's a subtle distinction, but that was the point she was trying to make.

Russel, I am amidst some major issues in my life, and it seems the networks of BBC and other news agencies laugh/never answer my needs to establish the latest strings if kidnappings in South Philippines, of which my wife was a victim of.
