This guys deserves so much more recognition - he owns British comedy style like he knows exactly how to use that type of humor. “I know sh*t loads about bread…and shrimp bread doesn’t exist. So the origins of prawn toast remains a mystery” is a great joke 😂
I have had the most ridiculous day, to the point this is the most logical and relatable comedy possible, and while that’s admittedly alarming, it’s exactly what I needed.
That’s a great joke; that ‘the theory of everything’ should have been called ‘look who’s hawking’. Sets itself right up for sequel too; ‘look who’s hawking now’
Most comedians repeat their own material, it’s only a problem when it’s someone else’s jokes lol. It would be impossible to come up with all new material every time you perform unless you only do improv. You typically need to test out material before a big recorded show like that too.
I've been a huge MTW fan for many years, and the standup portion has always been by far my least favorite. even if I really like the comic participating, a number of times I actually wind up skipping it. like that isn't what I come to panel shows for, to see bits of their tour routine, it feels so out of place and goes directly against the fresh, topical nature of the whole concept. if I want to see their stand up material, I watch their specials
I love that of all the wild things James manages to say without flinching, 'God damn I love these peaches.', is a line he falls apart over.
I desperately need to know what the end of the joke was 😭
@@hyunjinsanityhe did mention it on one of his social media accounts at the time
I don't know how he managed to say Robo-Bongo-Cuckoo-Cop without bursting into laughter 🤣🤣🤣🤣
James' Brexit == Cup of Tea analogy is utter genius.✌😎
Apart from the cup of tea not being weaker.
@@graemestarkey7524 Especially as the proverbial 'cup of tea' goes extreme right-wing without the stabilizing socialist teabag.
Wow. He makes a point of saying hello to dara. Never said it to alex on taskmaster though.
That's because there's no risk of Dara secretly starting a timer when you say hello to him.
Alex had it coming and Dara deserves the salutation.
Wasn't it one of his secret tasks to not say hello to Alex lmao
@@xlbpb93 I believe it was just James doing a bit
He learned not to say anything to Alex. The task could very well read “your time started when you said hello to Alex.”
I will always remember that great "Goddam I love these peaches" speech, truly the turning point of the war.

His "Sara is an idiot" killed me🤣😂
Knowing they're friends makes it so much better
John Robins knew at that point that he'd screwed up.
"Robo-Bongo-Cuckoo-Cop" is a magnificent joke 😂
I have had the most ridiculous day, to the point this is the most logical and relatable comedy possible, and while that’s admittedly alarming, it’s exactly what I needed.
Robo-bongo-cuckoo-cop: whatever else he does in his career, this will always be his masterpiece, his Sistine Chapel, his Mona Lisa...
Disagree! It's the line never said. "Goddamn I love these peaches..."
Anything that sends a stage full of professional comedians into hysterical laughter is worth a comedy award.
Nae...
He'll never top that
Is it in reference to something? I feel like I'm missing the joke..
Watching this on *_Fun Time Thursdays_* and I'm tipsy as hell.
I miss this show so much, I don’t know how I’ll do another 4 years of the orange demon without you 😢
It’s going to be an interesting ride! -Lib from KS
He is the funniest comedian alive right now, without a doubt.
“Trust me I’m building up to something” 😊
That ready to eat apricots joke is my favourite.
Every minute he's on screen is gold, i wish they didn't shut him down
James is a generational comedian.
I love James Acaster but I’m not sure anybody loves him and his comedy more than Ed Byrne does 😅
Ed Gamble?
Forget cabbages, send that man some peaches!
James Acaster is a beautiful genius
Never realised how much of Repertoire was in Mock The Week
Can't wait for the Disney/Acaster Pinocchio to hit theatres.
I really miss Mock the Week
I love James acaster
'Here we see a tiger eating Frosties. This episode is dedicated to our cameraman...
Charles Frosties'
He's still alive tho. Cameraman always survives
Missing a golden joke from things we'd like to see:
"Was your father a thief..."
Wait they had to censor the monkey at 13:10 thats the best joke about the monkey possible
yes! Because they would have to pay the owner of the rights. Which is beautiful
That Brexit tea bag joke is ageless.
And also very wrong
@@nicosmind3yes, brexshit is wrong, very wrong.
Love James - genius! 🤗
I wish I knew what the third choice to the Churchill question was gonna be, it's the funniest damn thing in the world
That’s a great joke; that ‘the theory of everything’ should have been called ‘look who’s hawking’.
Sets itself right up for sequel too; ‘look who’s hawking now’
He is a king of comedy
14:40 looks like James is holding the biggest glass of wine ever
What was the rest of the Winston Churchill joke?
C. "I really hate leeches."
I was hoping Sara's Corduroy Man joke would be in here
I've been sleeping on James Acaster.
Damn good comedian. His bit on Richard gervais and his lazy transphobic 'jokes', was (👩🏽🍳🤌🏽😗)².
'Transphobic' jokes
uh, that's 18 minutes and 4 seconds I'm never getting back.
@@12_Feet_Up 6:30
pretty sure he's referencing the cinema joke in the video. @@12_Feet_Up
I think you might have miss that he was quoting this comedian here...
@@stevenpippin6079Oh damn, you're right. I missed that joke and didn't catch the reference. I have deleted my comment out of embarrassment.
Every 18 minutes and 4 seconds is time nobody gets back.
SW6! As per!
Always sad when the stand-ups about Adventure and Britain are not in the highlights.😢
A lot of these jokes are also a part of his netflix specials

Kerching!
SW6 is Fulham! 😂😂😂
I still think at least back then James had a thing for Sara Pascoe
Maybe. Don’t know the exact timeframe, but he was dating Rose Matefeo back then.
This wasn't adventurous enough. Great, but could have been grater.
How?
@archstanton6102 JA does a bit about cheese graters which I am guessing is the joke here :)
Calling a comedian iconic is ridiculous…
those bath bombs don't taste nearly as good as they smell :/
