The Barbarians card is unlocked from the Barbarian Bowl (Arena 3). It spawns five single-target, melee Barbarians with moderate hitpoints and damage. They wield short swords and have blonde hair and moustaches. They are the same as those spawned by the Barbarian Hut, Battle Ram, and the Barbarian Barrel. A Barbarians card costs 5 Elixir to deploy. Strategy The Barbarians are a great option to use against enemy troops such as tanks and medium size pushes as the Barbarians have a moderate amount of hitpoints and damage, and are perfect for attacks with other tanks. Although they are very effective against single target troops like the Prince, Barbarians are susceptible to spells and troops which do area damage due to their slow move-speed. Their slow attack speed also leaves them vulnerable to swarms such as the Skeleton Army. Despite being a swarm unit, Barbarians are fairly effective against an Electro Giant due to their high DPS and their moderately higher hitpoints compared to other swarm units, allowing them to survive the Electro Giant's reflected damage and defeat him for a +3 Elixir trade, but they will likely die in the process or have an insignificant amount of remaining health. Note that since the Barbarians will have little health remaining, any sort of damage dealt to them besides the Electro Giant's reflected damage will often nullify their defense, so the player should account for supporting troops or accompanying the Electro Giant as well. Due to the amount of counters to a Barbarian and most resulting in a positive Elixir trade for the opponent, it is ineffective to deploy a group of Barbarians without support in one lane, as they can be easily countered due to their slow speed and can leave the player vulnerable to a push in the other lane. However, if the opponent is extremely low on Elixir, or their best counters are out of rotation, they can be very effective at forcing the opponent to spend Elixir poorly, as they can quickly chop down cheap troops and will completelv destrov a Crown Tower by themselves. They are excellent for taking out low numbers of enemy troops such as the Prince or Musketeer on the player's side. The 5 Barbarians will quickly eliminate the unit if they are dropped directly on top of it, surrounding it. The Barbarians can be effectively countered by most ranged splash troops such as the Bomber and Wizard from a distance. However, you must be careful as the opponent can use a Tornado or Freeze to immobilize or destroy the splash attacker, allowing the Barbarians to devastate the Crown Tower. A powerful counter is the Fireball; the damage and radius of the spell is more than enough to one-shot the Barbarians. However, keep in mind that if the Fireball is underleveled, or if the Barbarians are overleveled, it will not one-shot them. Additionally, the Barbarians can also act as a bait for these counters, allowing you to use other cards that would be weak to Fireball, such as Zappies. Poison can also be an effective counter to use. Its damage over time will eliminate the Barbarians and any supporting troops. However, as with Fireball, it will not defeat Barbarians with a level higher than the Poison. A Rocket can also defeat them, however it is a negative Elixir trade. It is best to be used if the Barbarians are assisted with another card Rage used with Barbarians can do severe damage to a Crown Tower, as it is hard to stop because Rage increases movement and attack speed. The Barbarians together have high damage and can make short work of a tower before the opponent stops them. They are very effective at defeating enemy tanks due to their numbers (5 of them), high combined damage, and ability to tank most spells. Support troops will have trouble defeating them due to their combined hitpoints. If the combo happens to be any ground-based splash damage card + ground- based melee tank, wait for the troops to cross the river. As soon as they cross, immediately drop the Barbarians upon the splash card. They will surround and destroy it quickly before moving on to eliminate the now unsupported tank. This can result in a large positive elixir trade. However, if there is more than one splash unit, the Barbarians are likely to be taken out immediately. Note that this may be ineffective against a P.E.K.K.A. as she can one-shot Barbarians up to 2 levels higher. They are very effective against Hog Riders and Ram Riders. Not only do they deal a lot of damage to these troops, but their high mass and slight spread forces the Hog Rider and Ram Rider to go around them, extending their distance from the Princess Tower. Because of this, the Barbarians can easily defeat these units with no damage to the Princess Tower. The Barbarians, if placed early enough, can surround the Princess Tower, making it less vulnerable to attacks from a Goblin Barrel. They can handle it quite well with only minimal damage done. However, this is a 5 Elixir investment so consider using it if you lack better counters. Splitting the Barbarians in the back can discourage the opponent from attacking either Princess Tower, due to the Barbarians' defensive presence, and spells will not have as much value. However, they are slow moving and as such, the opponent might deal some unnecessary damage before the Barbarians arrive on their target. Due to beina 5 of them, thev can act as a Lightning rod for more fragile units like a Magic Archer or a Flying Machine. 2 of them will also survive for extra protection for the guarded fragile units. T-64 was the beast when introduced. Note that there were T-64, T-64A and T-64B. These are completely different tanks. T-64 was still a medium tank, T-64A had simpler armor, only T-64B got composite sandwich. Anyway, there was no decent competitor to it for like 15 years. M60s or Leo1 could do nothing. And yes, T-72 sucks. It's a "mobilization" version of T-64. Worse suspension, worse sight, worse engine. Up until T-72B3, T-72 crews required much more training for a gunner. And T-72s engine needs "centering", which significantly adds to the engine change time.

Original batch T-64's would have less armor, be slower in all aspects including gun handling, much lesser ammo, while also being one of the most expensive fielded MBT's of the day [bad repair costs], but the worst Abrams it faces is XM1/M1 on a full uptier [or Chieftain and MBT-70 normally]. Number 1 problem with every single early production tank: suspension and engine.
@1:20-1:27 holy shit ERA much
Can you do a T 92 video please.
if it was realistic it wouldn't have a casual meter of armor on a turret against all rounds.
Thank you for the vid! wanted to know if the T-64BV has fixed the suspension breakdown issue, and what other reliability issue were solved, T-64 is growing in me recently
Could you do one of these for the object279?
Jeez is this “Farthest Outpost” in the background? Are we storming the Arc?
Edit: No, I read the description, it’s “Perilous Journey” from CE. We’re storming a ring. Gunner, sabot, Wraith!

Do a T-64B Gameplay :3

All of that would be problematic for Gaijin, so I doubt they'll even cknsider it
Not like they ever would have considered this kind of stuff
He doesnt make these videos to advocate actually implementing these, theyre just for fun
There's an interview with Gaigin on MattPatt's Video Game Theory channel. They did in fact consider adding % rolls for reliability into the game. Their conclusion was that it simply would not be fun (they did test it in focus groups).
@@connorquerin do you have a link to that?
@@connorquerin I'm honestly surprised they didn't want to implement another RNG factor into the game. Most of all, because they thought it wasn't "fun", as if they actually care whether their game is fun or not.

I spent a month or more, or who knows how long to research the t62. Then gajin adds the t55 and so now I have to research that before I get to use the t62 😞
Can you pls do the Wiesel?
A Soviet Russian tank that wouldn't start in the cold. That's not going to be a problem.
However, if the opponent is extremely low on Elixir, or their best counters are out of rotation, they can be very effective at forcing the opponent to spend Elixir poorly, as they can quickly chop down cheap troops and will completelv destrov a Crown Tower by
themselves. Imho it should not be just T-64, but split at least into main models.

Is 0:45 supposed to be there or?

I don't have the Merkava book that was sourced, but can anyone provide a good search term or picture of the T-64 with chain armor?
Thanks!

I would love to see gaijin add an rng chance of failing auto loaders across all auto loading tanks it would make them maybe a little less spam heavy. I mean they already have it for airplane’s with the gun jam mechanic so why can’t tanks get something similar
If you want rng jam mechanic, check out tarkov
@@IonPerseus but this is war thunder not tarkov so yeah why suggest playing a different game when i want it in war thunder
@@jeremycripps9316 i mean, that would be most irritating and frustrating thing
@@IonPerseus not really it would just mean Ussr mbts stop spamming non-stop from range because they know they'll always out reload your tank. And besides if they're able to artificially nerf top tier mbts i.e. the Leo 2a6 reload speed. why cant they add a variable jam mechanic that means you just have one round load slower to reset the auto-loader I don't personally see it as a frustrating mechanical see as I4 stated before they already do it in RB modes for jets and planes
I'm sorry Spookston, but I don't see my name in Patreons at all, and I bought it a few weeks ago. is it limited to a whole month? and will the name appear after a whole month of membership?

Doesn't the ukrainian modification of the T-64BV also get thermals?
There are more than one, but the model 2017 does. Do note, it is, IIRC, with limitations. You can see by size that it is small, unlike thermals on every other tank.
These videos are neat but please don’t give Gaijin and any ideas about increasing repair cost for any reason.
T-64 at 10.0 lol
Random question Spookston. Do you think the Lowe tank could work mechanically speaking?
As always, russian vehicles being buffed in game, while everyone else gets dunked
Im happy that war thunder is not that realistic but it is realistic to some point, if it was too realistic (as these videos you make) it would not be that enjoyable and fun
Very unfortunately timed as a Ukrainian soldier mistakenly ate a crew member from exactly this type of tank
he didn't mistaking eat a crew member, he mistakenly ate a fellow soldier. He believed it was Russian until everyone saw the actual vehicle. Like the one american volunteer that stood infront of a BTR-4 and said "that is a destroyed russian tank behind me"
Russian tank have problems in winter? What a standards degradation.

Just do br chronological. Its not about br anymore which is an alwqys ever changing thing. even if nothing chqnged qbout war thunder mechanics players change how they use vehicles or stop using them. causing stats to go wild and off track. (most soviet late mediums like the 64 should be lower on br its very old yes good but theres no reason for it to fight an abrams a1. chronological means you get real life. thats it done no argument "its not ballenced" sucks thats how it was.
Tiers should be eras to lock assault arcades into as well.
Chronological upgrades and status helps true balance. Some may get a higher br ceiling than others. Some may earn more, or cost more. Losing 128mm/88mm TS is a price to pay gladly so your Maus does not see Bradleys, WMA's and BMP's from the distant missile-FS future. 1945/46 down tiers to 1950's waffen is much more manageable in spite of massive repair cost.
You're shit out of luck with 70's model packages though; you will see M1A1, 2K and 2A4 plus M900 shot L7.
A lot of late tier Soviet mediums in the T-64/72 family are M1A1 times and newer.
The TURMS-T has packages from the mid 2000's
T-90 is post Soviet early 90's at the minimum [T-90A is post Y2K]
T-72B3 is from the last decade [Original Ural T-72 is right up against AOS and XM1 times]
T-72B would see M1A1, Leopard 2A4 and Challenger 1 all day up into M1A2 and 2A5]
T-80BVM is 2017 [Original T-80 matches with M1 Abrams time period at the minimum]
T-64 Soviet upgrade packages go from late 60's/early 70's for fixes into the mid 70's and 80's
T-55's have a fat issue of time spread where you're on old ammo/systems or moved up a lot
T-62 is also in a weird spot of seeing needle nose M60's as peer but climbing to the moon
@@lector-dogmatixsicarii1537 cute lol. honestly shit reasoning though as we are just ohasing out a1s now. hell we had regular m1s just a few years ago still in service so the chances of ever seeing an a1 in something like a 64 or 72 are byond minimal. i dont care what blind reasoning your trying to give against br ratings because it works. its history get over it. There is a Ukrainian Flag in the game for purchase. Unless you mean they should come on the tanks you mentioned for free if Gaijin chose to add them to the game. You can also use decals from the Italian tanks to make a Ukrainian Flag for free. However, there aren't any Ukrainian roundels for aircraft like the MIG 27.

@@asadini I would like to see those tanks in the game too. I think there are other vehicles unique to Ukraine too, like the T 64BM along with some lighter vehicles. At least these tanks actually saw combat which is more than can be said of many other vehicles in this game.
Peace or not, it doesn't matter. Germany received DDR tanks and aircraft in gane, although historically they were opponents. Ukraine in the Soviet research tree makes much more sense than DDR in Germany because Ukrainian tanks are modernization of Soviet tanks.
