    I'm guessing that is a trainee because you are not supposed to use a torque wrench to loosen a nut!

      Won't do any damage if properly set to a higher torque value than the axle nut. Most breaker bars don't come with a ratchet, in this case he probably set the torque to 160ft-lbs to loosen the nut, which is twice higher than the final torque, and is the nominal value of the initial torque. Also saving adjustment time when installing.
      Companies forbid workers using torque wrenches when loosening fasteners because trainees are not familiar with the break-away torque on most components, and risk damaging their tools. From the way he corrects his co-worker the rotational direction while applying initial torque, he's not a trainee or a newbie, and is properly familiar with his manual.

    Does the landing gear need to be lock wired/safety wired across the bolts? I'm studying aircraft maintenance and they just taught us to lock wire the landing gear of the aircraft with locking wire and locking wire pliers

      not on the NLG for the a320-321s at least! nose tires are very easy to change on most airbus aircraft.

      Airbus prefer the nylon inserted self-locking nut + cotter pin method. Lock wires are more common on American designed aircraft. Also on smaller regional aircraft since lock wires generally require a bit less space.

    great job better to use a tray and important to main landing gear front chocks position and the Parking brake should be turned off during nose jacking

      Yes that's what we did here we released parking brakes (brakes off) and installed the chocks on the main wheels.

      For christ sake what are you fresh grad? Nose landing gear is far from the APU even your spotify headphone music is NOISIEEEER!!! The aircon bay at the main wheel is even noisier than the APU if you stand down below from it stupid comments!!!
