- Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition that causes scaly itchy patches and red skin, mainly on the scalp and adjoining area.
It can also occur on oily areas, parts of the body, such as the forhead nose chin, upper chest and back of the neck.
In addition to scaly patches and red skin, seborrhoeic dermatitis can cause stubborn and thick dandruff.
Treatment involves avoidance of oiling, cleanliness, self-care and medicated shampoos, creams and lotions. Repeated treatments may be necessary. any type of Scalp allergy and fungal infection is also known as seborrheic dermatitis.
Dandruff is the very important reason for hair loss.
Seborrheic dermatitis may go away without treatment.
Or you may need many repeated treatments before the symptoms go away. And they may return later.
Daily cleansing with a gentle soap and shampoo can help reduce oiliness and dead skin buildup.
Seborrheic dermatitis is also called dandruff, seborrheic eczema and seborrheic psoriasis. For infants, the condition is known as cradle cap and causes crusty, scaly patches on the scalp.

I've visited many docters and im from odisha, now 1stly my dermatologist suggested me deriva i 20 with onabet sd lotion and lupizol shampoo for two months,, it got some day good but again made prblm so i agwin visited him and now he prescribed me the same lupizol shampoo and onabet sd lotion and biotin named btn ultra... although it is quite better but it affects my chest area and root hair infection like small red spot,same occurs on my lower belly and upper penish area... I am 18 years old, My problem is that excess sebum comes out of the skin a. A large amount of sebum comes out from the scalp,ches, back(the lower part of the neck)and face.there is a lot of dandruff on the scalp.as a result a lot of hair grew out of my scalp, and my hair become thinner.... currently my hair condition is very bad.
