Another excellent choice and another beautiful video! The Express Skopelitis interior looks exactly like the Cycladic ferries back in mid/end of 90s, when I was visiting every summer as a young student. Back then you did not have to book hotel rooms and/or ferry rides. You just showed up at the port and there were numerous locals offering cheap accommodation. Ios and Antiparos were considered “quiet” islands to go to. Even on Santorini I was always able to get a beach like lounge chair at Franco’s Bar at night and gaze at the stars and the caldera while having a drink. Nowadays people go to Santorini to queue up for hours in order to get a photo at a specific spot and post it on Instagram. It seems that this trip has done you much good. You look (I won’t say stunning because you always look stunning no matter what…) reinvigorated. Thank you once more for taking us with you on this adventure and cheers to an “empty” Athens in August! Καλά να περνάς! Φιλιά!
Thank you! Now, it is hard to just show up. On the smaller islands, you might be sleeping on the beach! I enjoyed this trip so much. It did me a lot of good.
I visited the island of Schinoussa a long time ago. It was wild!! No tourists, no mega yachts, no ATM.... I tasted some of the best Greek dishes and an out of this world fava!! So glad you had the chance to see this small yet so magnificent island with so much ancient history.... The small cyclades are the pearls of the Aegean. My favourite of all is Donoussa. And then, off to Amorgos island. Thank you so much for sharing with us all these beautiful videos.🏖
Have you been to Samothrace ? It is my favorite island ! Also I am planning to visit Lemnos and Karpathos. Not very well-known or touristy islands. Have fun in Greece !
Hello. Thanks for always good inspiration. You say August is high season, is this only out on the islands?? Had otherwise thought of an island hop from mid-August! Does this also apply into September? Tina
You’re welcome. High season is everywhere but it will be more crowded in the big tourist spots. September is less crowded and a great time to go island hopping.
@@agirlandherpassport okay, I want to say that it is from your inspiration that for the first time in my life (56 years old) I had the courage to travel by myself, without a charter, I was on 5 different islands. this year I also went myself. Would so like to have the courage to see Athens, from there to the islands, but the courage is not there, unfortunately. Always travel alone. Tina
Another lovely vlog a island i have not visited but must do the swing was a surprise it can only be Greece😁🍻many years ago a old Greek lady came running over when i had sunburn and said she was going to rub Greek yoghurt into it ..the plain one of course..did it work ..it did for me 😮
It can become quite ascetic based on the season and the island. But this is also what makes it appealing to a lot of people. It helps build character...
Greek islands always make me smile 😊
Me too!
Watching from Austin, TX. I’m very motivated to visit Greece next year.
Hello fellow Texan!
What a lovely room at the Schinoussa hotel. The patio is perfect for chilling and reading a book.
It is. I loved sitting out there and most people were enjoying their patios or balconies there.
I love the Greek Islands. My haven to escape.
A video on you moving to Athens, finding accommodation, visas, challenges would be invaluable.😊
Me too! I have done many videos about this in years past. You can see them if you click on my channel name and scroll back.

You are so fortunate to be able to travel and live all over the world! So jealous! Thanks for all the great videos! ❤
Glad you like them!
Another awesome quiet island. I love it. 🩵 Your hotel room was also very adorable.

It has changed so much even since I was there 8 years ago. Still a great little gem.

I haven’t. I don’t know much about it. I will have a look.
A little tipsy?! Love it! 😂
I drank a half a liter of wine almost. They didn't have the quarter liters. Downsides of solo travel. LOL
@@agirlandherpassport Downside?? lol
Haha good point
Looks wonderful! I haven't visited many in this group of islands yet as I've mainly been going to the Dodekanese islands!
I love the Cyclades. I definitely recommend this one or any of them.
Wow such a beautiful place. I want to visit it .Thank you for making a video about this beautiful place ❤
Isn’t it! You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
I simply love your content!
Thank you so much!
Love the cats!!
There were so many!! And most were very friendly.
I have one of those tan mitts with a long handle to put sun lotion on my back when I'm on my own x
I haven’t seen one of those! The spray seems to work okay if I do a double pass to not miss spots. But I will look for one of those. Thanks!

I am so happy to hear that! Athens is easy. It seems like a big city but most of what you want to see is in a small area and very walkable.

We Greeks always use greek yogurt for sunburns. Works every time!
If only I could reach my back! It never really hurt. It just was dry.
No crime in this islands... best food best beaches and safe😅😅😅😅😅
Very safe! I love not having to worry when I am on these tiny islands.
@@agirlandherpassport also big greek islands like crete or rodos are very safe ... greece poor but safe place...😇

Life is better in a greek island !
At least in the summer! 😊

Could you let us know how much you are paying for your meals when you visit the Greek Islands. We are traveling to Greece October 1 - December 10
It varies a lot depending on the type of place. I have paid €5 for a gyro and a Coke and up to €33. I hope that helps.
🙏😊
😊😊
Out of curiosity, did you have a lot of problems with the gluten over there?
No. Sometimes finding something on the small islands at restaurants but there is usually something.
@@agirlandherpassport Oh I should have worded it better😅😅. I meant did your digestion suffer? 😅
@@ninadiamant8937 Ah I see. No, it didn't.
Do you take a flashlight with you to walk home in the dark?
No, everything is usually lit enough that I don’t need it. My phone has a flashlight if I need it though.
I think you should experiment and insist a bit more making videos after a few glasses of wine.
It will turn out fine. Trust me.
Haha! All I do is pet cats if I do that.
