    When Antoine said "I love you" and Colleen replied "I love you, too" and they both looked at the sunset... oh, holy guacamole! Like a Colleen, a Frenchman also captured my heart. Aren't they so sweet?

    Don't think I've ever watched a 4 hour video. Truly a wonderful experience seeing these amazing places. Cried with you at the American Cemetery, laughed at how many times Antoine said "sh*t" in the mud and enjoyed seeing 2 people so in love just as they were in 1999. ❤

    So good!!! I will be there in September and cannot wait! This is giving my hubs and I so many great suggestions for our two weeks driving around France! This is amazing! I am a low-carb, no-sugar vegetarian (I beat Type 2 diabetes with my lifestyle change!) and am very anxious that it will be hard to find meals I can eat. The research is really disappointing me. I hope I can maintain my health journey while on vacation. 🤪

    • @LesFrenchiesTravel
      @LesFrenchiesTravel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are a lot of new vegetarian places popping up all the time. And more and more vegetarian options being offered in traditional restaurants. Also, traveling in September, you should still have lots of summer salads and heavy summer vegetable meals on menus.
      For Paris, we have a vegetarian restaurant guide available on our website.

      @@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you!!! I will check out the vegetarian dining guide! We have four nights in Paris. Two nights on either end of the trip. This will help so much. On Chagall's tomb, there were lots of stones, which is a Jewish tradition whereby the act of placing visitation stones is significant in Jewish bereavement practices. Small stones are placed by people who visit Jewish graves in an act of remembrance or respect for the deceased.

    • @LesFrenchiesTravel
      @LesFrenchiesTravel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No I wouldn't recommend it. We regretted not staying both night in Honfleur. The hotel room was much nicer and also cheaper. The advantage of sleeping on the island is that all the tourists are gone. We were so tired from our travels that we ended up going to bed by 930pm

    We are searching for day tours more for the English/Australian troops history at Normandy. Most of the day trips seem to be to the American memorials - no offence to Americans - but living in Australia and of English heritage we are looking to explore that side. Any suggestions?

    • @LesFrenchiesTravel
      @LesFrenchiesTravel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ironically, Day 1 of D-Day had more British and Canadian troops than Americans landing in Normandy. Look for tours that focus on Sword and Juno Beach but it's hard to find tours without the American side of it.

    • @karenhorsley-of2ix
      @karenhorsley-of2ix 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LesFrenchiesTravel thank you. When I looked at all the organised tours they only mentioned American troops!! Not any other nationalities - which lead to our wrong assumption!! Will look for the areas you mentioned.
