Cad Bane was an old man at this point. There is still so much opportunity to show a younger, live-action Cad Bane! This was a perfect ending to his story!
It’s crazy That in a show where the title character escaped certain death from being eaten alive, people assume cad is gone for good from being stabbed.
Never ceases to amaze me that everyone has a near identical thought/emotional journey through these eps. I watched this to see if everyone else was cheering for Boba, then immediately sad at Cad's supposed death. Yep.
Well Cad Bane is around 70 years old in his species years that’s like 120 years in human years. Old but granted still a badass non the less. But if he was going to die then I really do think this was a good way to go out.
When Boba kills Bane you can hear and see for a few seconds some beeps in the device on his chest, I honestly think that bane is not dead, after all, Star Wars resurrects the characters that sell the most
Did I expect to see Cad Bane die here? No. Storyline-wise, I understood why. Boba Fett had to really kill off the bounty hunter part of his past in order to truly move forward. Now, do I expect to him to be really dead? Considering that it is Star Wars, not really.
That's Disney Star Wars for you, folks: they bring back awesome, beloved characters so that they can kill'em. I'm actually surprised Boba didn't die at the end too...
I dont like that they killed him of but I do like the way they did it. He dousent die scared or screaming, or is humiliated by some smart witted line by Boba, in fact he is the one with the final word, the final say and he evan uses his own death to prove a final point. He feels badass all the way to the end
I was like ScreenSlurp - cheering for Boba in that scene. Sure, Bane is cool but I'm not sorry to see him die. He lived a full life, much longer than most of his species and many in his profession. I feel certain we'll see him again, just hopefully not in this particular era, because having him die in a duel with Boba Fett is honestly the most appropriate way for him to go out as an aging gunslinger.
People having a problem with Cad Bane's death shows there still is a disconnect for some people with the animated and live action stuff. Like they know it's the same universe but either consciously or subconsciously don't give the animated equal weight, so they end up feeling as though a character doesn't get full development. It's just a small issue but an inevitable one when using multiple mediums.
No it's just they brought him into live action just to kill him off immediately just so Boba could kill him. It's stupid imo and me and many others wanted more from him
Ikr It was very obvious it was going to be a show down between Boba and Cad and that meant one of them was going to die for sure If Boba was the one who died people would still complain over it lmao
The real problem is that the people who make these shows think that you don’t have to introduce a character in a new show when they were already introduced in another show. They think that only a limited amount of character interaction is necessary for people to connect to a character. Only at the very end did they show cad banes relationship with other characters. In a show like the bad batch, I’m pretty sure that there was plenty of interaction between cad bane and the other characters, enough so that it reintroduced cad bane without needing to talk a lot about him
Should we analyze why you feel the need to white knight it then don't poke people who rightfully disapprove of the practice of digging up characters and killing off characters without truly utilizing them (which Disney has a bad track record of)
I like the emphasis that Bane's the better gunslinger, but Boba's the better fighter. I'm not even really bothered by the idea of Boba Fett being the one to kill Bane, I just wish they'd kept him around longer. Bane would've made for a great antagonist for Boba.
Good on you for not spoiling Cad Bane's defeat in the title for anyone who hasn't watched the episode yet and is just scrolling through their recommended.
I mean, he has been given time in the comics, except for his last appearance. Of course, I understand that Filoni could not leave him without completing the story, especially since his duel with Boba was never shown on CW, but when you introduce a character into a project for 5-10 minutes just to kill him, this is called leaked. The problem here is generally complex, and if the plot of the series had been built smarter, and 2 episodes had not been given to new episodes of the Mandalorian, it could well have been more of an antagonist, perhaps even central to Boba. But he was thrown into the second last episode for the sake of a spectacular scene from a western, in order to kill him the very next. someone will complain that he was leaked badly, no, there is nothing bad there, Boba defeated him quite honestly, and Bane proved that he is the fastest shooter, but the wording "leaked" is still appropriate here
I noticed something that might give Bane fans hope... After Boba has stabbed him and is shown standing over him, Bane's left hand falls at his side. After Boba walks away and the camera pans over Bane, his left hand is ON HIS STOMACH. Fett didn't put it there....
Bane is like 80 years old, his species ages like humans. It had to be Boba who killed him, and it had to happen now. There is coming so much live action that we can see Bane there. His story was done here.
Cad is 40 years old in Clone Wars. He is 70 years old in Book of Boba Fett. There is still 3 decades for Cad to be in other series. Not to mention he’s in Bad Batch

Cad Bane his voice and acting are so freaking powerful and great, as well as his looks!! I don’t want him to die. He is freaking amazing!!
It’s crazy That in a show where the title character escaped certain death from being eaten alive, people assume cad is gone for good from being stabbed.
That face Boba makes everytime he lands the killing blow~~~
Absolutely shocked that Boba ACTUALLY killed one of the most unkillable characters in Star Wars
Never ceases to amaze me that everyone has a near identical thought/emotional journey through these eps. I watched this to see if everyone else was cheering for Boba, then immediately sad at Cad's supposed death. Yep.
Why is everybody so mad?, Dave Filoni made it clear during the Clone Wars that Cad Bane was going to die by Boba the next time they met.
You know the villains a good character when everyone gets upset that he “dies”
Rest in peace cad bane
That auto tune cry at the end gets me every time 🤣🤣🤣
Well Cad Bane is around 70 years old in his species years that’s like 120 years in human years.
Old but granted still a badass non the less. But if he was going to die then I really do think this was a good way to go out.
When Boba kills Bane you can hear and see for a few seconds some beeps in the device on his chest, I honestly think that bane is not dead, after all, Star Wars resurrects the characters that sell the most
There’s always the possibility of Cad Bane being in the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, they’ve had plenty of encounters before in clone wars.
blindwave had the best reaction happy to see him but sad to let go. Such a long life. Never wanted to bane die.
You could spot the ONLY superfan of the whole bunch, which was the only person to immediately recognize that Cad Bane had the metal plate on his head.
Cad Bane is so badass that people are more worried of the rancor than him. lol
If he's dead, it's honestly not the end of the world because we can still see him in Bad Batch when he was in his prime
I think
Mando is the fastest shooter in the land ,,, there's a reason why the Blue devil punk waited for boba to be alone
It's stupid imo and me and many others wanted more from him
Ikr
It was very obvious it was going to be a show down between Boba and Cad and that meant one of them was going to die for sure
If Boba was the one who died people would still complain over it lmao
The real problem is that the people who make these shows think that you don’t have to introduce a character in a new show when they were already introduced in another show. They think that only a limited amount of character interaction is necessary for people to connect to a character. Only at the very end did they show cad banes relationship with other characters.
In a show like the bad batch, I’m pretty sure that there was plenty of interaction between cad bane and the other characters, enough so that it reintroduced cad bane without needing to talk a lot about him
Should we analyze why you feel the need to white knight it
then don't poke people who rightfully disapprove of the practice of digging up characters and killing off characters without truly utilizing them (which Disney has a bad track record of)
I don't think he's dead that beeping might be a life vest to keep him alive long enough to be picked up
I like the emphasis that Bane's the better gunslinger, but Boba's the better fighter. I'm not even really bothered by the idea of Boba Fett being the one to kill Bane, I just wish they'd kept him around longer. Bane would've made for a great antagonist for Boba.
Lmao when I was watching this scene with my family I yelled "YES! WAIT NO! NO!" lol. Pretty much every CW fan's reaction 😂.
I actually screamed no when Cad Bane died...
SAME
Same.
I got so mad. I just screamed NO
Good on you for not spoiling Cad Bane's defeat in the title for anyone who hasn't watched the episode yet and is just scrolling through their recommended.
Bane had to die….he is in his 70s and had a long career, this was the perfect showdown and the perfect ending to their Rivalry.
That button lighting up on his chest is definitely doing something, calling for help or telling somebody in power that he died
When Cad Bane was stabbed it sounded like autotune died too lol
I think a lot of people are forgetting Kenobi has a show coming out and Cad Bane was active during that time. We still could see him again.
The Entire Clone wars show this man was surviving from fighting jedi but ended up dying to a bounty hunter
Who else can see which ones are the actual fans lmao
I mean, he has been given time in the comics, except for his last appearance. Of course, I understand that Filoni could not leave him without completing the story, especially since his duel with Boba was never shown on CW, but when you introduce a character into a project for 5-10 minutes just to kill him, this is called leaked. The problem here is generally complex, and if the plot of the series had been built smarter, and 2 episodes had not been given to new episodes of the Mandalorian, it could well have been more of an antagonist, perhaps even central to Boba. But he was thrown into the second last episode for the sake of a spectacular scene from a western, in order to kill him the very next. someone will complain that he was leaked badly, no, there is nothing bad there, Boba defeated him quite honestly, and Bane proved that he is the fastest shooter, but the wording "leaked" is still appropriate here
Anyone else notice the inconsistency with Cad Bane's hat after it falls off his head? xD
1st from Maui🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴🇸🇮
It’s just Boba finally claiming the title as the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy
Kinda loving how Boba basically brought a stick (not even a knife... a stick) to a gun fight and won with it.
Cad is 40 years old in Clone Wars. He is 70 years old in Book of Boba Fett. There is still 3 decades for Cad to be in other series. Not to mention he’s in Bad Batch
Ironic. Cad Bane mocked Boba’s desire to bond with others, yet he was killed by a weapon that Boba learned due to his bond with the Tusken Raiders.
I swear we're eventually gonna be in one of these 🤣 and I can't wait for that day
7:12 "I knew you were a killer." Well, at least Boba Fett is NOT a killer like you, Cad Bane Got em 🔥
OG alpha clone blue biatch!
