What version of the firmware are you using? Right now there are 3 firmwares available. As you say the image quality is great, I presume you have the first/stock firmware. This one introduces a lot of delay, specially noticeable if you fly fast or race. The second one improved latency only for PAL cameras but introduced image ripple and image quality was worse, and the third one fixed the ripple, made image even worse, introduced flicker in the image, improved latency for NTSC, and some ppl reported even less latency in PAL (than with the second firmware) but other ppl reported a slight increase in latency. The OSD does not introduce overhead, as latency is the same with or without OSD, using different modules and using the AV in. The only thing that decreased latency was using the HDMI in. There's several videos about all of this on youtube and eachine groups and official page on facebook is full of ppl complaining about this, myself included. Eachine is supposedly working on a new firmware though. Until everything is correctly fixed, please DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE GOGGLES RIGHT NOW!

I am working on testing all firmware and official latency right now. video will be out soon

@@DroneMesh thank you. At the time, because of the difference in latency between the hdmi in and all the rest (at least with the stock firmware), ppl speculated that the problem could be when converting the signal from analog to digital. Is this verifiable with an oscilloscope? Right now, no one tried to verify this. Also, I think that the differences in latency in the last firmware might be due to how ppl are testing latency. If possible, do latency tests using an oscilloscope, as you usually do. Thanks.

@@BrunoGomes666 I just released the video.. In this review the latency was 40-50 ms and after updating to latest firmware latency dropped to 32.5 ms after offset.

Until there is a final fix for latency, I don't see how anybody can consider these goggles. Every firmware so far either has visual glitches or bad latency.

    • @DroneMesh

Guess this needs a proper latency test to show the actual number.

@@DroneMesh If you didn't notice the latency while you were testing it out I'd have to say that it's not going to be noticeable to most of us. I've flown with these goggles twice and never saw any kind of glitch or latency issues either, I thought they were fantastic.

I've been upgrading the software for almost three weeks, and I don't think the latency has any effect on my flight. The EV300D is a super competitive product, and I feel more and more value.

@@pirateradioFPV Objectively speaking, the contrast of HDO2 images is better. But in other respects I think the EV300D is similar to HDO2, and there are even more innovations on the EV300D.th-cam.com/video/DfERk3_pG0c/w-d-xo.html

These are totally the bang for the buck! At least you can get'em for about 200$ - not much money for a mediate analog goggle - and still far away from dji digital. ;-)

Great test! Makes me think the E300D are great. They keep up with the HDO+Rapidfire most of the time, but there is a difference or more than uS$200 there.

Great video on the 300d Google's.
Do you believe the latency is fix to an excitable level after the firmware update?
I have the 200d Google's and they work fine but I would like to move up in quality and getting to the oled view. What about the fact of not being able to repair them very easy.

In terms of value for the price, the EV300D is an amazing set of goggles, fully loaded with great features! But if I had to choose regardless of the price, I’d buy the FS+RF combo.
