    It was Rubel, the driver, truly said about his past, present and future. I salute his real wishes to get out from poverty when there is no ways.

    i think lot of people did not understand the documentry it was filmed to show the everyday life of the youths of bangladesh, dhaka and the struggle they have to go through to fulfill there dreams. bangladesh have made hugh leaps in the last decade. it has become a very developed country. more so then some of the other indian sub continents countries. joy bangla

    This is what happens to a rich and wealthy civilization after 200 years of colonization and bloodsucking. My country has survived, and by the grace of the almighty, we will become great once again.

      dude that's really unlikely atleast in 7 years, we'll be a low middle income country by then, our per capita gdp is supposed to reach over 12,000$ and thus be considered a developed country after almost 30 years not in 7.

    I think this was a great little documentary. It was very well done for its short duration.
    Dhaka city is such an enormous web of SO many different peoples and lifestyles, its quite hard to generalize or portray all in one documentary.
    So many different people from vast backgrounds have so many different goals and capabilities, or the lack thereof (physical, psychological, economical, etc) and such diverse priorities.
    The subjects chosen here were just a tiny spec of examples. They were all great people and they did a very sincere and respectful job. Well spoken and honest about their situations and needs.
    I wish them and everybody else in Dhaka all the best in their endeavors and life's wishes and goals.

    The strange thing is that I do not know how to speak, read or write in Bengali, yet of all the places on this earth, Dhaka City is very special to me.

    funny how a mobile phone is top of the drivers list of 'life priorities'....sad? ....naive?

    • @ryun25
      @ryun25 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He is young, and you can’t blame him for that. Of course there are many things that should be in top of the list, but him wishing only for a mobile phone truly reflects how hard his life is.. 😕

    The girl is giving a wrong impression about Bangladeshi young women. Not everyone is money hungry for jobs and individuality. There are many young women who want to get married, start an early family and they are not being forced by their parents.

    Subject Matter is good. But composition is very bad. It does not depict real comparative views of youngsters of Dhaka , city. Any way good attempt.

    What was the topic? Did bbc really make it? life of a lady gaga rab, ambition of a drug addict graduate woman or dreams of some struggling survivor could be fine but from which angle can u really call this A Day In Dhaka? waste of time could be a perfect definition for this documentary.
