I spoke to soon, I was afraid of the thin rods and axles. Then you start upgrading and it’s the never ending story. Have a great day, I’ll see ya on the next one!
Hello Jason, I have been on the fence for several months about buying the Ryft. The looks of the Ryft is a 10 plus. This video has convinced me to buy it. I am 73 and will drive it like you drive, but will buy Treal parts and shorter shocks. So it will not roll over so easy. I can not be chasing it all over the place to turn it over. Thank You for a great vid. I am a new Sub.
Yep, that's the rod end that breaks for me all the time. Treal lower front links on the way! I also gotta figure out rear rod ends or a limiting strap 🤔 I'm resisting hard to not put in the Castle system 😬
You still running stock? The Castle system is crazy good. I thought I was always going to have to run this on 2s. But 4s with the Castle still feels super smooth.
Hello Jason! The first time the Ryft came out, I took a good look at it. It seems to have very thin plastic drive shafts. Does it seem to hold up? And yes, when the castle system is running good, it’s awesome! I’ve had 3 castle systems fail within 5 minutes this summer. Castle warranty is very good, but slow. Sorry I’m rambling but your a likable guy and have great content! 👍💯
Drive shafts have been good, so far. For me and a few others it has just been the rod ends. But I've ordered some Treal goodies so hopefully I'll have fixed the problem.
Conclusion. Obviously the Ryft is not meant to be a Basher. Too much stress on those rods. So do they have metal or carbon fiber version? What pinion gear did u use? And did you install the 2 gear system?
So happy I never got one! Because you sir are the most kindest rc driver ever!
Tip #1 for the angled rod ends - simply replace them with STRAIGHT (stock type) rod ends. Zero breakages and they dont constantly slip off the balls.
Awesome run man. Keep up the great work 👏.

I use the hard grey plastic rod ends from the gatekeeper kit never a problem
When you say the hobbywing didn't even feel close, are you referring to the xr8 SCT or the 2200kv crawler setup

Treal arms are currently back in stock at Treal. Rock-Jock RC, right now, has everything but the front lowers.
Glad I got the Mamba X, too.
How do switch back to dragbrake with remote ?

Would never buy this one.
