Snow removal has come a long way since I used to plow in my CJ-5 w/6 1/2’ Meyers blade. Wow, that was 50 years ago. I’ve been on the west coast of Florida for the past 40 years, but enjoy watching you guys pushing it.
Same here. I had a small fleet of used 4X4's: 1965 CJ6, 1970 Chevrolet Blazer, 1977 Chev 3/4t pu truck, 1972 Chev 4X4 Suburban with a mix of Meyer and Western snow plows on them. I made crazy money with them when it snowed. I never used a new truck, just older used ones and ran them until the bodies rusted out.
I do the snow removal for a Ford dealership here in Canada. I use an 2010 F350 with the triton v10 engine and an extreme V blade, it gets the job done but i always dream of owning a newer 350 with the new 6.7 that thing must be a beast pushing snow!

Can you do a video on prices? And how do you charge them? Do you charge them per plow or a seasonal straight rate regardless of how much it snows or doesn't snow? And why. How do you set up contracts and what is all included in them? And lastly how many contracts can 1 driver realistically do? Do you try and stop around a certain number because it'll be too much work to handle for one person. How many do you try to get per season if that makes more sense? Thank you. If you or anyone else can answer this. You can just comment back. A video of this would be cool though. Thanks.
I was trying to figure out what you were doing...lol 68 in Los Angeles today. Just kidding I have alot of respect for people who have to deal with that. Great video
Question. What made you choose the diesel to plow over a gas truck. Down the road when I get into an other full sized 1ton I’m in the fence with a diesel or the 7.3 gasser. Now I don’t have plans to be hauling heavy equipment like excavators, big skidsteers. Maybe a medium sized log processor but nothing crazy. I’d probably add snow removal to my business for bad days like this and winter is usually slower for wood sales. My rule for big trucks is if I’m not hauling heavy equipment several times a week I don’t think I’d need the diesel option. What do you think.
@@workplaytv makes sense. Man when the time comes it will be so hard to decide but who know maybe by then I’ll have equipment to haul too far out for me to tell. My 2012 3.5 eco tows my dump trailer well and I don’t have equipment yet. I do wish it had locking diffs that would be so nice to have.
@@workplaytv two local construction companies I know have a 350 model to pull his dump and tool trailer he loves it. The other guy has the 450 dual with walk in tool box cap for it, it get bad mileage but it’s a wicked work rig according to him. workplaytv sounds great stainless & white looks good together. You always have cool truck videos thanks
Nick Freyermuth Hey man thanks
I changed my factory tires to bfg tko's and they were ok, I then went to the grabber at2 and loved them so my next truck got the atx's now and won't go with anything else. $1200 for the bfg's and $900 for the general's
Pretty cool to watch man, I live in the south now but grew up in N Dakota and part of me misses the snow
Move up to the Okanagan brother. Plowed powder ¾the season this year. Deff get some heavy snow too tho. Bigtime.
I like the POV of you plowing snow.
Like the snow plow video
I love videos like this.
I live in Connecticut and we get all different kinds of snow and I’ve never had a problem with the Michelin that come stock and I’ve tried different serval different over years
Can you do a video on prices? And how do you charge them? Do you charge them per plow or a seasonal straight rate regardless of how much it snows or doesn't snow? And why.
How do you set up contracts and what is all included in them? And lastly how many contracts can 1 driver realistically do? Do you try and stop around a certain number because it'll be too much work to handle for one person. How many do you try to get per season if that makes more sense?
Thank you. If you or anyone else can answer this. You can just comment back. A video of this would be cool though. Thanks.
Clipping right along on those snowy roads.
Awesome video, I'm jealous in northern Indiana we have only plowed 3 times this snow season. Make more vids like this I'd watch.
It’s actually quite interesting because I was born in Massachusetts but live in Texas for my entire life
I was trying to figure out what you were doing...lol 68 in Los Angeles today. Just kidding I have alot of respect for people who have to deal with that. Great video
add a rear plow to ur truck as well and u save time doing less pushes and clean edges faster. coming from somone that plows for 4 months straight
Very nice thanks for plowing ❄️
You need some snow tires if you want to
It’s because I also have equipment that I tow so diesel is best of both worlds
@@workplaytv makes sense. Man when the time comes it will be so hard to decide but who know maybe by then I’ll have equipment to haul too far out for me to tell. My 2012 3.5 eco tows my dump trailer well and I don’t have equipment yet. I do wish it had locking diffs that would be so nice to have.
@@heathenfirewoodservice2021 I’d love to try one of those new 7.3 gassers
@@workplaytv two local construction companies I know have a 350 model to pull his dump and tool trailer he loves it. The other guy has the 450 dual with walk in tool box cap for it, it get bad mileage but it’s a wicked work rig according to him. That’s why I’m on the fence I like diesels but I just can’t justify their price over a very capable 7.3 gasser. If you do test one out share.
Great Video Buddy,so how much snow did you get in Halifax i know down toward my area towards Antigonish people were saying 20''-24''
Keagan MacKinnon Yeah you guys got dumped. We had like 14 inches or so
@@workplaytv we rec'd 39 cm in Sydney early in the week & rec'd even more than that late Wed., so lots of the white stuff to push around..... enjoyed the vid, be safe up there on SMB Rd
Hug awa Haha yeah man you know it! I actually had to get a site plowed out today in Sydney forks.
