    Dear Dr Brown, this is the least I have moved any part of my body in an exercise in my life, and the most I have felt it ( the tongue on roof of mouth one aside) . In just moving the head those 6 degrees I REALLY felt the tension. Wow, I am shocked LOL. Thank you so very much for sharing these amazing exercises... and Happy Xmas to you from Scotland ! 😃 ✨

    Had pain and popping sound on my left side just this January 2021, I've been seeing tmj exercises and follow them daily, but it's been a week since I started snapping my jaw while sleeping the pain is so much that I'd wake up in the middle of the night and not sleep anymore. I'm not grinding but the upper and lower back molars touch each other kinda snaps. My lower molar aches 24/7. Braces are so expensive and in this pandemic money is just for basic needs. Please do a video that would lessen snapping. Thank you.

    I would value knowing what Dr Brown's qualifications are as this assists me in sorting out who has the experience and skills and who is making them up. This is no reflection on these exercises as I have just started to do them. This is more about professionalism and giving people the information so that they can make an informed decision. I tried looking up that name but it just came up with a Dr. who was investigate in 2013 and until I saw a photograph I thought it was the same person. Thankfully, it wasn't! Anyway, professional information would be great. Many thanks.

    Will this definitely help with grinding and clenching? I’ve had sensitive teeth because of it for over a year and was told by my dentist it’s the grinding that’s causing it plus gum receding too. I need help with this.

    • @SleepTMJTherapyVienna
      @SleepTMJTherapyVienna  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! These exercises help to relax the facial muscles and reduce tension so you grind and clench less however, this is not a treatment plan. If you are grinding and clenching your teeth, there is likely an underlying TMJ problem that needs addressing. It would be beneficial for you to have a pre-screening exam with a TMJ specialist so you can get more information.

    Where do we place our index fingers in the third exercise?

    • @SleepTMJTherapyVienna
      @SleepTMJTherapyVienna  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Place your fingers right on the top of the condyle of your jaw joint. The condyle is part of the lower jaw (google TMJ condyle and view a photo for reference). You can tell when your finger is on the left and right condyle because when you open and close your mouth, this bone will move. I hope this helps!

    GUYS I FINALLY FOUND THE SOLUTION TO WHY I WAS CLENCHING MY TEETH WHILE SLEEPING! It was revealed to me that the style of pillow I was sleeping on had a curve on the edge, so when that curve was putting a little pressure on my Jaws I was clenching my teeth while sleeping it was so bad! So what I did was to sleep on a flat pillow instead and now no more teeth clenching while sleeping!
    Glory to Jesus for revealing this to me while I was praying 🙏
    Hope this helps someone

      @@arpineh.beglaryan8743 use any normal flat rectangle pillow [___]
      I use a memory foam flat surface normal pillow.
      As long as it doesn't have curves or bulges that will put pressure on your Jaws when your sleeping, that's the whole point of it.
      Also try taking vitamin B powder (not tablets, not soft gels because they usually have other nasties). I used a capsule that had powder inside, take a little bit of this in the daytime only.
      This should solve the issue
