There is something I don't get, which many other traders do as well, is selling only based on your RR regardeless of the chart itself. I don't get it. I buy and sell at fibo (could be also resistance) or depending of my indicators if the trend is reversing, but I don't understand why many traders base their TP on their entry price instead of the market structure. I do understand having multiple TPs, but in my opinion they should depend on the fibos/resistances and not from the RR ratio which have no match with the chart. Thanks!
Agree 100% I always sell too early haha but I will say as a trader with more size in my contracts, I need liquidity

peter i need youe help, my average cost is tesla is 230 i got caught selling weekly covered calls on tesla at 192. strike expiring friday, best thing to do can you help me? i have the capital to close the contract or maybe roll it to 210 ish? what do you think? i always get caught selling cc

Personally, I would probably roll it out unless you really don’t mind losing the shares
I know it sucks to eat that loss but even if it takes a couple of months of rolling, it’s definitely worth it
Oh, I feel your pain. I got stuck in tsla at 260 untill finally sold it one or 2 weeks ago. Since then I started buying calls on SMCI and it was my best decision ever. +33k in 2 weeks. Sometimes its better to take a loss and move on. We are in a bull market and there are so many opportunities to earn.
Same here, I got busted selling under my cost basis as well and had to eat the $700 buy back, freakin sucked.
SMCI killed it too +123 points today

all that is fine and dandy until you realize how restrictive some accounts is like in my case . fidelity flags you if you sell stock/options with money that have not cleared yet . so there are times one day my options is up but can sell until the next few business days, but guess what happens

I use margin account at Interactive brokers, never had such a problem. Try IB ;)
