It really depends on the city you are living in. How population is scattered in the city. If you are living in densely populated area this kind of medical problem is common now a days as the medical staff and facilities are limited. We moved to a smaller city in British Columbia not very far from Vancouver though. During my pregnancy we got really good medical service . And the hospital staff was also amazing. We have to go couple of times into emergency and the wait time was not worse (it was around 1-2 hours of wait). This could be different for other people but we were really happy with the medical system here in our city.
I agree with this. My baby was also delivered last week of December 2022. And our experience with North York general hospital, Toronto, Gynaecologist was awesome. We were new immigrants who just landed in October but we were literally wowed by health care here in Canada. Initially I faced an issue finding a Gynaecologist because we were new and late for December. It was nice Vlog. Aarav is cute.
i am also living in Australia i have 3 kids all born here in Australia and younger one is 3 months now Actually in Australia canada new zealand in these countries they go all the way naturally so they said no need to add on so many things just have healthy nutritional diet during pregnancy
We got pregnant twice the only money we spent was on Uber while travelling for checkup and delivery, PregVit Multivitamins and some 33 Dollar Hospital Bill that's it. We delivered our first baby at Michael Garron Hospital and 2nd at Grand River Hospital. Super smooth and simple process. In India all they do is C-Section so they can make more money, even if Normal delivery is possible.
I had an accident on Tuesday, my knee was swollen, and I went to emergency at night 9:00 pm and then I doctor saw me at 3:00 am and then for CT scan and x ray and again doctor review , I came home at morning 7:30 am
India is known for over testing and over prescribing of medicines. It’s a known fact that when you’re pregnant you should avoid any sorts of medications and supplements other than vitamins. Indian hospitals are driven by revenue and hence the option to do the multiple tests before, during and after pregnancy or even the high percentage of c-sections. however in the number of ultrasounds that are done in canada are standard protocol worldwide and only if there are any concerns there are more tests done. This isn’t a gap.
I believe ur a gynaecologist, or a midwife or a physician, who is gvng valid information. If not then pls dn't spread misinformation people about healthcare.
@@rckanyakumari I maybe a medical professional or not, however that’s irrelevant as I did not give any medical advice. All I stated was facts, please read up on the over prescribing / diagnosing and high c-section rates if interested. There are a few others who have commented the same.
I got the best care during my whole pregnancy, nurses from the hospital were so nice and compassionate, during my 3 days stay they make me feel at home. Right from changing diapers for my baby and feeding her all w as taken care of do I can have proper rest, in the end I guess it depends how busy is the labor ward and who you get as a doctor.
I always had my bp & baby’s heartbeat with abdominal measurements checked at every appointment with the Gynae at Mississuaga. If my BP came a lil off the charts, they made sure to rule out anything with additional tests and even performed urine analysis just to check if I didnt have protein in my urine or any other issue. I had gestational diabetes and the amount of care I got from my Endocrinologist & the gynae was commendable. I was given special care due to this with additional scans and NST’s. So it is not generally the case with every hospital & doctor in Canada.
Meri first delivery pune india me hui, end time pr kuchh prblm hone k vajah se doctor ko laga ke c-section karna padega lekin doctor ne poori koshish ki or normal delivery hi hui, or mere saath delivery room me 8 doctors the or 2 pediatrics the, chahe kuchh bhi kaho for pragnany indian doctors are best.
I totally agree, I had really worst experience where I had a miscarriage on 21st of July and I waited for 6 hours in the emergency with holding water to get scan. Pathetic service in terms of medical.
In USA if you have any question you can call to the front desk of your gynecologist office put your querry they will ask the doctor and within an hour they will call you whatever doctor said they will let you know..if you have a lot of concern and you want to talk to doctor then your gynecologist will talk to you also...this month only I delivered my second child (daughter)here in USA...my first one is India born...no doubt in india there is nothing like waiting but USA also it's good regarding any doubt or something

One more thing, I was never examined by my family doctor, from day one I was referred to an OBGYN, but of course again, a lot must have changed since last 16 years.
Maybe the healthcare system has changed over the period of 16 years, but when I was pregnant my son,I didn’t have to pay for gender detection or for down syndrome check, it was all inclusive in the OHIP, but like I said, that was 16 years ago, maybe a lot has changed since then.

Hello from Singapore, good info about Canada Hospital Experience In Pregnancy. Healthcare is screwed all over the world. Singapore has a top class healthcare services for sure. If you think about cost wise, comprehensive health insurance coverages should be the priority which is lacking in Indian mindset. After the pandemic at least there are people who is turning towards better. Nice informative vlog, your baby Aarav is going to be superb communicator indeed....
Could you please also make video about how government pays for missed employment during maternity. Like in initial days ...how to apply for maternity leave and what if a person does not have government job. How to apply and get benefit of all available options by government?
Hlo di .I also having cholestasis at third trimester. If you can help provide me some information regarding because i am also worried . And also i heard you went in emergency. What happened at that time .
Wanted to highlight one thing which is not correct, that you only get doctor after 20 weeks of pregnancy, that is not entirely true. It is different from doctor to doctor and clinic to clinic. There are 3 options usually: 1. Your family doctor is qualified to provide prenatal care, then you can choose to stay with them for 20 weeks and get OBGYN later 2. You can start finding doctor from the beginning and pick the one you like and talk to them about their policy. Most of the doctor accept patients starting 12 weeks. 3. You can opt for a midwife (low risk pregnancy) and they usually start seeing you around 9-10 weeks. Also another thing that you mentioned is doctors don’t ask you to take supplements, which is good, they only recommend if it’s necessary, unlike India where they try to make parents feel like you need to so much extra. If you don’t have a deficiency, there is absolutely no reason to take anything other than prenatal vitamins. Another reason is not everyone wants to eat unnecessary things, so they only go with what is absolutely necessary, instead of making parents feel like they need to spend on extra things. I have delivered 2 babies with midwife in Canada, but I was with family doctor for 12 weeks. 1st time my iron was low, so he prescribed it for me, 2nd time he did not. So don’t assume that you need supplements, unless your test results and doctor tell you so.
Whether you see an ob/gyn earlier is also based on whether you are a high risk pregnancy. For the majority of pregnancies there isn’t much to monitor until after the second trimester in a normal pregnancy.
@@CanadaCoupleVlogsmany don’t have insurance or insurance only cover semi-private postpartum room. Funny enough many hospital workers only have semi-private coverage.
In ultrasound, do they detect any heart defect or any genetic defect in the baby? Are ultrasound systems advanced in Canada than in India? Bcoz in India, such defects are not detected in the ultrasound system, bcoz of which I lost my baby…and I want to know about Canada as i will be moving to Canada soon as a PR…
The doctor problem is because of bad policies of Trudeau government. Now that you are citizens, vote for Pierre Pilievre in the next election for Prime Minister.
You know nothing about the healthcare system then. You do realize most current doctors weren’t even in medical school when Trudeau got elected. Healthcare is also provincial not federal issue. At least know your stuff if you want to criticize.
