Cool, I really loved the premise of IXION, but have no time nor money to actually played this game, and you make this video, loved it and thanks a lot ❤
UN left in the etremenaki, MS became the piranesii. Romulus and Remus are the only 2 viable planets for habitation. so no, neither of them survived by the end of the story.
@@Ydrakar The Etemenanki was a huge massive ark, had about billions so yea most of earth population that survived the lunaclysm were aboard it and when the piranesii found them, they were most of them exterminated
Great summary! One note about the Romulus ending: Instead of using the Protagoras PA to guide the Tiqqun (in the instance that you didn't download a copy of it), the Administrator can stay behind. The ending cinematic differs just slightly; instead of the PA you see the Administrator's control pod, with the game UI barely visible through the glass.
I was kinda hoping this would summarize the story of some of the weird science missions with the gravitational cores within asteroids that functioned like portals into parallel dimensions where the Ticqun and its crew also existed... There's a lot of depth and convolution to that stuff. sometimes crew came back with different identities, or long lost crew members were found again during a later chapter. so much to unpack that I didn't have time to figure out myself... also going indepth into what the Vohle jump really does would be welcome... some speculate it splits the world off into multiple parallel dimensions every time it activates, or creates a new cataclysm on the scale of moon's destruction.
I was interested in explaining the spheres and other science missions, but I was just too confused, I sort of "understand" but I couldn't wrap my head around it, so I just stuck to the main story
@LCTesla yes, that woulda been soo cool. And actually what I had originally come for. The author did put out more than anything I have seen yet and it's 2024, so kudos to them.
and like the aftermath of what happened next like right before the tiqqun crashed into the piranesi it launched a drone swarm at either remus or romulus (we all know drone swarms are permanent) and we either make the planet movable or so and turn it into our own space station to stop humanity's extinction again
great video thanks. i tried to play it myself but the tedious of the hull repairs was too much for me after having to start over once and second playthrough later just seemed more time spend fixing things.
its the second the tiqqun fires the vohle engines, it blasted a chunk of the moon and brought it into the future, it makes sense somethink powerful enough to travel between stars/time is bound to be able to leave a dent if directed at a planet
It's a flaw in the first version of the engine and the reason why you need to upgrade to the IXION engine. But it's a flaw, they knew about and did nothing to stop.

@nordic_estonia k. I'm at work and had planned on listening to this, but...no narration and you have one of the only "storyline explained" videos about Ixion. You could use a.i to narrate, in you own voice or similar...but I do hate a.i. narrations becuase everyone uses the same stock nasally voice, and it always mispronounces everything!
The most sci-fi part of the entire game is the UN actually doing something to save our civilization.

the gameplay is pretty tedious tbh
One part that bugged me about the game is that its never confirmed if the UN and or BMS survived in any capacity

That's the point of the story that everyone else are dead and you are the last hope.

I played this game countless times, The story is so good it could become a sci-fi film similar to Interstellar
For some reason that jump music reminds me of WH40k Mechanicus
it's because the creator is the same
“Aw man how are we gonna fight the etemeninki!”
*Sees the Etemeninki*
“OH. THAT’S WORSE.”
No, no. more like: *sees the clearly destroyed super structure **_SCIENCE SHIP_** etemeninki*

yo man thanks for making this
No problem, I wanted to share the story for those who weren't able to finish or afford the game
:)
I hâte Vanier dolos, he doomed everyone in pursuit of his only vision of a future
Awesome video, but wait...what was that whole thing about finding a broken off piece of the Tiqqun even though the Tiqqun was still in 1 piece?
the game is about multiverse travel, thats what youre doing when jumping.
so yeah, that was actually a piece of the tiqqun.
ending a is like 80% of your people fail to adapt and become 'waste' lmao. or you melt many ppl into one space elf.
I think the game updated from that, cus my population stayed the same while waste was also created, it's either an update or there was a visual bug
Yeah screw the Remus Tree Hugger ending. Humanity shall ever remain Human. Glory to Mankind may the stars bow in reverence to their rightful masters.

It's brain damage. It was discussed as a possibility from the start, but it was completely ignored.
Thanks for this. I like management games but couldn't get into this one enough to finish
Glad you enjoyed lol, I definitely want to make more videos on games and game stories in the future, just need to stop procrastinating.
