You should hear her do it live and in literally a split second, she doesn’t even need time to switch back and and forth, she can switch from cleans to growls so fast, it’s an incredible talent
@Brent P I read earlier today that the growling is easier than the clean stuff - if you watch later in a gig when she's a bit tired she does more growls than cleans
This is by no means an incredible 'talent'. She's is incredibly good at it, because she did work really hard to get there. I'm tired of all the people telling how talented someone is. This actually sounds like them being lucky by birth. Talented or not, by working hard for your goals you will be good at anything. Maybe not as good as her and maybe not as quickly, that's where the talent kicks in. By the way, switching from screaming to clean vocals is extremly easy, once you have mastered both techniques.

@@josephfairman5329 Not at all, I have been a professional guitar and bass player about two decades ago, though. I'm only sick of this 'talented' bullshit. Great musicians are skillfull and skill comes from practicing and rehearsing in the first place. Talent is only the icing on the cake and using this word for great artists does simply not honor the passion and love, that they had to invest into becoming this good. So, why would I shut up? I have a point there. Tati's skill is god like, but 'man' made.
haaselee you are mistaking what I’m saying by getting wrapped up in semantics and your own definition of “talent” which I would argue is wrong but I don’t want to argue semantics either. What you’re describing is what I would call “gifted” when someone is born with natural gifts that help them become exceptional, a talent CAN be a product of hard work, you can develop an incredible talent with many many years of hard work. To growl and sing the way she does is an incredible talent born of years and years of hard work practice and performance, that takes nothing away from her. You misconstrued what I was was saying, please don’t infer that I meant something which I didn’t

Truth. The whole band is crazy good.
I've seen them twice at small venues (500-1000 people) and they're incredible. I actually got to meet them, get pictures and a used, signed snare drum head from Vlad. Super cool experience. Eugene is a killer nice guy, and funny.

I think it's obvious that Tatiana is an absolute beast and an amazing singer. But can we take a second to appreciate the drummer's technicality? Especially with all those clean ghost notes on the snare. So good.
She has truly set the bar for female metal vocalists, and is the best in my opinion. Her ability to switch from clean vocals to those guttural growls is phenomenal and takes true talent. Glad you discovered them! I suggest who is gonna be the one or perennial live shows. She’s amazing.

TheBlackiwid ... Tatiana might not have a huge vocal range in her cleans but the control she has and the dynamics are bar setting. Not to mention that she incorporates many different styles. Nobody else that I’m aware of is doing anything like this... and then there is the growls.

So much to love about this reaction. The fact that you said that you didn't want to ignore the instrumentation. The fact that you were not questioning if it was tatiana's voice. One of the reasons I subbed to this channel, is that through your commentary it is clear you are a musician. So much great Jinjer songs to choose from. I'd recommend "Perennial live at Wacken 2019. You get to see them on a big stage, see tatiania's stage presence.
On the Make-up. There is a youtube video out there where Tatiana is doing a quick make-up tutorial. It is hilarious. And the comment section is full of men wondering why they are watching a make-up tutorial and are enjoying it LOL

I wish I did video reactions just so that I would have been recording my reaction to this one song. "Is that really her?" and "I wasn't expecting that" were my reactions along with 99% of the world. But it went a little bit further with me. My first reaction was that someone had just done a gag video and I had been successfully trolled! And then I was trying to decide if they had dubbed a guy's voice over hers, or if there was some sort of effect applied to her voice. I didn't believe it was her until I dug around and found a live concert video of her, and even then I had trouble believing it!

Legit it's her. There are some small studio after-effects, but Perennial (Live) from Wacken 2019 is awesome.

1st! Haha! Your face is priceless when Tatiana went into low growl vocals! I was like you being surprised when I heard her doing the growl. I learned from vocal coaches that Tatiana learned to use her vocal skills without hurting her vocal chords.
Tatianna, the vocalist, describes herself as a shy, introverted geek. What you see in this video, and especially at her concerts, is her stage presence. She built up her stage presence over time, and has said without it she could never step on a stage. While I know what most people say about her growl sound, one reacter had a unique, and cool, description by saying it suddenly sounded like a thousand soldiers were roaring, rather than the typical, “she sounds like an angel... oh my goodness! Where’d that demon come from??” Also, I heard one vocal coach say the muscles she uses to make the growl are the same muscles needed to sing opera. That is why/how she can switch between gentle and growl and back so effortlessly.

I would recommend checking out Sumo Cyco-Undefeated, they were touring with / opening for JINJER during a portion of their tour last year, they also have a incredible female frontwoman and a super solid band.
