    Sure is nice that Mr Eiffel anticipated lego models of his build in the future and provided a handy way to disassemble it in large pieces and carry it down a flight of stairs...

    I have built the map and this set is probably 100 times as painful to build then that set. And the map was already VERY painful. Respect.

    These epic Icons LEGO sets are amazing! I just bought the Colosseum for my son for Christmas and he was overjoyed! They are ART pieces! Made to last for a lifetime. Props to LEGO for going harder than they ever have to make these incredible display pieces!

      @@princesanis8873 there is a 100,000 piece building block, not lego branded, Minas Tirith on Ali express, made by a Chinese company called MOC. Costs like £3000.
      Seen some photos of it made, looks amazing.

    I’ve built this set and my god was it painful. Both mentally and on my hands. You would build one section of the cross supports then realize you has 10 more to go. Very painful but worth it when I finished it.

      Seems necessary tbh for transportation. Plus if it gets knocked over it wont stress any piece out or break, just need to reassemble some of the parts but it wont break any singular piece of lego.

    Omg that thing look very mentally painful. When i was building the empire state building, it was already painful enough. After finishing one of the tower segments, i realised i had to do the ENTIRE segment of that tower THREE MORE TIMES BEFORE I COULD EVEN CONTINUE
    Edit: no wonder its the most expensive lego set. Yet not the "largest" and yet the map (lego set with the most pieces) only costs 250$ in todays money and less painful (mentally) the only thing that you might lose is your thumb or pointer finger

    I ordered this set Thursday night @ 11, believing that like the Titanic, this woulod be a hot item and with the 25th being Black Friday, would fly off the shelves and run out of stock asap… much to my surprise that’s not the case, but will be recieving it @ work on Monday. Due to the high level of detailing that went into builing this set, how long did it take you to build this monster?

    Not built Lego since i was a kid, I'm 59 now and would order this but for one thing - where do you put it when built??? It's massive :) Or do you just break it down and put the bricks away :)

      You can separate it into 4 parts for storage (refer to the manual).

    Serious question for all the Lego experts in here. I have been building sets for years but one thing that gets me is when they use colored bricks in the interior that just get covered up. What is the point of using colored brick instead of whatever the prevalent color is? No one will see the colors. Thanks for the help!

      Because lego thinks only little kids build these things so they use weird colors to help them tell sections from one another

    I like the set and it’s actually my dream set but he made a mistake at 7:55 when he put the legs. he put the yellow lifts on the red corner and the red lifts on the yellow corner.
