A build like that would take apprx. 3-5 days at most, especially with the repetitive steps. It took me 4 days to build the Titanic and to answer the obvious question, he probably used after effects and sped up the time laps so it looks like it took 6 minutes instead what wouldve been a day, possibly three days to build this. Ive been debating about obtaining this set as I missed my chance with the original which is now retired… to hell with it, bring on this challenge.
Wow, the number of bags in this was mind blowing. But I wonder whether it would boring to build because it seemed to have a lot of repeated builds throughout the entire thing. And the size is crazy too! By the way, good job on finding the perfect place to display this model.
honestly everyone was saying the same thing about the colosseum and i loved that build. it was something you could just switch your brain off with. if this set is the same i’m sure it’ll be a great build imo
I remember building the Robie House - not nearly as big, but had a lot of repetition that I found mind-numbing at times. But maybe it was just because it was a lot of simple tiny bricks snapping together, and nothing really interesting. After three nights my thumbs were sore. 😄
It always amazes me how much of the build is done and covered up, the base had loads of intricate bits to it, to just put a big beige slab over the top
I'm in my late 20s and you just gave me an idea for my kitchen set up for my new apartment coming up! I was heavy into star wars and lego's and now the past 3 years I been slowly getting back to the hobby like I was when I was 9-13.
@@nikokirhatzis2946 Same I work 2 jobs now that I have a kid lol Now I'm saving up for the legos my parents could not afford back in the 2000s and collect them for nostalgic feelings and memories.
I’m 24 and just now gotten over the “I’m really too old to be building Lego sets” mindset over the past few years and finally stopped caring if people think it’s childish or lame lol. I no longer care; I LOVE Lego as much or more now than I ever have. People who put it down as being a toy for children need to lighten up! The older I get, the more I realize that we’re all just big kids, and those who decide to snuff out that child inside of them take themselves too seriously as far as I’m concerned.
I had a Lego city when I was younger and I can’t imagine the look on younger me’s face if I told him I’m gonna build a lego set that’s the size of you 😂 What’s sad is when you’re young you wanna be older to afford these grand sets but when your older you wanna be young again to feel that spark and in this case this would’ve been an amazing addition to my city. 😭
No Way! He did it again. I don't know where you learned to build this fast David, but we will continue to be blown away by your inhuman speed and capabilities

Cant believe I got click-baited! You said you did it in 6 minutes and then in the video you say you did it in 10 hours! Outrageous. All jokes aside great build
Yeah. This proves what i thought allready. Amazing result. But really repetitive to build it. The price is a bit to high for me to just simply buy it. Probably more fun to buy several modular buildings instead. Great showpiece nontheless.
As amazing as the build is - what blows me away is that someone had to design this in the first place. Then write the instructions (complete with detailed illustrations) and test to make sure all was right.
what a set just seen the previous video about this No way can i have this set i have no space for it. but thanks for showing it and building this awesome set too.
I really want this, but the video illustrated something I hadn't considered - the giant box it comes in! 😮 Interesting fact: hundreds of French artists (architects, writers, painters, composers) led by Charles Garnier, the architect of the Paris Opera House, protested against construction of the Eiffel Tower, claiming it would be a hideous eyesore and national embarrassment. Controversy only died down after it was complete and became a huge success.
wow me and my friend who is autistic watched this and she loved it!!!! such a great video she wanted to watch all of your over building videos after this!!!
The prices can really be outrageous. The cost of materials for this model don’t come anywhere close to the $700 price tag. Nowhere at all even approaching its price tag. It’s made of plastic bricks that are all the same color, for crying out loud! I get that a Lego set like this is a “premium” experience, but you’re right, the prices are getting ridiculous. Plastic bricks shouldn’t cost this much, man. Although, I will say that all of Lego’s cheaper alternatives are massive steps down in quality and sometimes don’t even fit together properly, so at least with Lego you know you’re going to be getting a high quality product.
"Maybe this will take like 11 hours" Me who requires a full week to do the Razor Crest: *Yeah I think I can do that too* Update: I actually got the giant of a set, and i'm only at the finishing touch of the base 2 weeks in thanks to the fact I got sick. This build as I go into it so far isn't too repetitive although the base's legs are still slightly excruciating, it might not be too boring into the base. I will update this comment once I have reached the part above the Base.
I think i want this. The Titanic was the largest i’ve bought and built and it was depressing at times with how long it took, but it was also fun and interesting because of how detailed it was inside and out. As for this, i think i’ll be really depressed because of how repetitive it is😭😭🤦🏾♂️

It looks like one of those set where yoh can just wind down with if you've had a stressful day. Minimal thinking power and just zone out and build
The colosseum seems worse as repeting the same pattern but yes it will have some boring parts
I remember building the Robie House - not nearly as big, but had a lot of repetition that I found mind-numbing at times. But maybe it was just because it was a lot of simple tiny bricks snapping together, and nothing really interesting. After three nights my thumbs were sore. 😄
This set is so tedious to build. Its taken me 3 weeks because I lose interest. Totally worth it though.

Oh my God,You is the best builder in the world in my opnion!
The OCD in me wishes this had 10,000 pieces
They made it 10001 just for you.
the 1 piece is the brick sperator so it is 10 000 pcs
Technically it is 10,000 and one brick separator.
🤙
I like the number 10001 more than 10000 since you can say it backwards
Amazing set!! I love it!!
Paris was pretty cool I will admit

I wouldn't find the 6 minutes to build it tbh
Same
I built this exact same Lego set you beat me 10 hours I did it in 20 hour and 37 mins you are a talented builder congratulations
I love that the style of the packaging was the same as the Titanic, I hope they keep that style for these megasets
Almost double the number of bags in the Millenium Falcon! Mad!
yes but also twice as boring to build lol, even if i could afford this set the fact that i'd be miserable whilst building it is a dealbreaker to me

It’s so nice that the kits come with books instead of saying, “I wonder where this goes”, 10,001 times!
When you are done, you should use it as a floor ornament ordered.
I'd actually turn it into a floor lamp, like lining the inner surfaces with LED light strips.

Epic slider, timelapse shots 👌🏻 this build is not for me but I respect it.
It does look like a very repetive build but the end result look worth the effort.

its 555 pouds if people are wondering
How long did this actually take to build?
Omg putting 200 studs on trees took several years off my lifespan
How long did hou actually take, I was stuck on the second box😅
I dont like the way the pieces are sorted into bags. I rather have a viewer number of stages with more bags per bag number.
Hi! What kind of stabilizier do you use? Glidecam or a motorized one? Love the shots!
Awesome!
@ 1:54, do I detect a missing brick in the closest base? Interesting, if so, this is a recurring thing in other builds. Yes, I have OCD....
What's the depth on those shelves? You've given me some inspiration for my own LEGO room.
How long did that take you to actually build?
