    Looks like you've got a solid runner for a while and I agree that patina on the tailgate is perfect. I love how cheap and easy these S10s are to fix and upgrade. Not to mention the crazy amount of aftermarket parts. Lift it, slam it, V8 swap it, turbo it, options are endless.

    Good job man. I'm currently tackling an 88 s10 Tahoe & trying to find a coolant leak. Hoping to get mines daily-able soon:)

      Yeah I really don’t want to change it at all.

    I just bought a clean 89 s10 Tahoe but am having a heck of a time finding OEM parts where I am at.

    I see you in NC too!! I just got a s10 I want to fix back up but I don't know where to start 😂

      Start with the very easiest 1st, fix that then move on to harder and harder things until it’s all back together.

    Nice truck! I just bought an 85 S-10 myself and I'm going to just daily drive it also. the 4 speed trans is burned up so I'm just going to put an auto in it, I also have a couple of Bucket seats out a 86 Cavalier that I'm going to put in it, my kids are grown so I won't new a bench seat, Mine it Blue but I don;t like Blue so I'll end up repainting and for the paint job I'm just going to get a couple of quarts of that ready to spray paint Duplicolor paint and paint it in Champaign Gold and i'm going to to just dye the interior Black because the bucket seats are in really good shape and they are already black

      That all sounds great. I'm glad to see another s10 staying on the road. I would however like to trade your 4 speed for my 700r4. I prefer the 3 pedals.

      @@ChrisThedudenurse I prefer 3 pedals too but I spent 21 years in the Army jumping out of Airplanes and Helicoptors and my knees don't always work right now so I have to have an automatic. Where do you live?

    Get you some POR-15 and coat that frame and everything else thats rusty.

    • @ChrisThedudenurse
      @ChrisThedudenurse  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I do need to coat it with something

    • @N-wordScissorhands
      @N-wordScissorhands 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Your truck looks solid, that’s just surface rust. POR will stop the rust then you can coat it with whatever paint on top after that. I put it on my vehicles, just make sure you scrape the loose rust off and hit it with brake clean and make sure it’s dry.
