Just finish an install on a 2021 Gladiator (Overland). I also read the JCR install instructions. Your video seems more useful. On my install the front holes are much closer to the rear edge of the window frame.
Casey, I know this video is over 3 years old now but this is the first time I am seeing it. That being said do you notice any creaking sounds or any other sounds because of installing it? I removed a competitors overhead Molle panel because of it and am considering purchasing this in place of it if you do not.
@@Casey250 thanks, this gives me hopes that I too can install another Molle panel and this time not be driven insane by the constant creaking noise emanating from it.
The back side of the tailgate trim panel (the big piece) should have dimples that line up with the bolt holes. At least mine did when I installed a tailgate table. It made drilling the bottom holes easy with no guess work.
If you take off the back plastic part off the tailgate and look on the back of it there are centerpunched spots that line up. Jeep centerpunched it for you.
you just wanted to drill holes in your eco diesel!!! 😂😂😂 I rather like that the JCR panel on the tailgate isn't flush and sticks out!! looks sooooo much better and gives functionality!!! 👍👍👍
What you could do for that elongated hole, or in fact all four just to tidy it up a bit is take an appropriately sized grommet, and bisect it, leaving you with a rubber washer kinda thing, and just slide that over the white post, giving you a trim like effect. I think that would look slick.
Thanks for sharing another nice quality video. Just noticed you have a car seat in the middle seat instead of normally right passenger side... any reason why you put your child in the middle seat? Do you take your kid off roading too? I put a mopar tailgate table at the back there and love that thing not only to prepare food when we go off roading but also my daughter loves to just sit on it and pose for pictures... oh that compressor occupies too much precious cargo space at that location, will wait to see what you end up putting on the back molle panel
I have always preferred the center location as it offers protection from either side impacts, and if your vehicle has side air bags in the rear they are out of the way. It may seem hard to strap them in, but I find it isn't as you can hop in from either side and kneel in the seat, also good if its raining. As well it allows for the most room if you have two other passengers in the back. As well my daughter can see where we are going better, but typically sits up front now once we hit the trails if we are on slow and simple trails.
Great video! Curious to know if mounting/hanging things from the overhead rack interferes with your ability to use the rear view mirror? I was thinking of mounting a GMRS radio up there, but didn’t know if that would block my view. Cheers!
You guys love tearing up things and I love it!!! Great thinking out of the box!!!! I don't even have to nuts to take my hard top off!!!! Praise to all the Jeep Wrangler owners!!!! Can anyone say Rubicon 392 for Christmas??!!🥰
You could mount the Air compressor to the tail gate wit any Molly 🐂🐂💩💩 And , there is nothing you need to display with the overhead Molly Total waste of money
Glad I didn't go JCR for the rack now, seeing as I'm not cool with drilling the windshield frame.
Good video
I can’t wait to see your new knife rack! 😂 Awesome vid man!
for just the overhead rack, shipped to Canada is over $250. I can't justify paying that much. Think I'll make something up myself.

I have not noticed anything.

Ya no dimples on my 2020.
@@Casey250 that's weird. My 2020 had the dimples. Didnt notice them at first but they were there.
Another really well done video! Thanks Casey
Thank you. Appreciate it.
Looking great 👍✌🚙 ! Great Mods .
Thanks!!
Looks great.
Thx Reg
Oooh a secret project with me!? I can't wait to find out what it is! 😎
Nice video Casey. Just something you should go back and do is to paint the holes you drilled otherwise you will get rust.
Good point. I was actually thinking about adding some rtv as i have a very minor rattle when the stereo is turned up too.

Ah. Well too late now lol but thx for the tips. Wasnt in JCRs video so had no idea lol
Fancy fancy dual compressor got to love it
Time is money bro!
Personally I prefer the American Adventure Lab rear table and molle rack but still a good video
Their rear table is quite nice but a lot more money and not what id need.

Lol! You know it. Ya not being flush is a good thing it seems.
@@Casey250 it makes yours different than everyone else's!! 👍
Overhead rack is awesome and more options is always great!
I love it so far!!
Which bracket are going to use to mount the air compressor?
Good question.
Does the Molle top rack work with the HardTop Rubi?
And have you utilized the factory Molle built into the seatbacks?
Yes and no
Yeah I think I'd drilll into that, seems like a place could be covered up by all my mistakes 😂

Ooo good idea
Some cutting oil when using those step bits while drilling through metal will make them last longer.
Thx for the tip!
Looks good
I’ve been looking for Molle and you found it congrats
You gonna leave the plastic film on your dome lights for good? :D :D :D
YEP!!! lol.
@@Casey250 I left mine on there for a good six months before I even realized it was there!
@@Aoxmodeus I never even noticed till someone pointed it out in the comments. It was the first thing my wife noticed when getting in hahah!
I really like the overhead rack. I’d like to have seen a wide angle shot once it was complete but other than that nice video Chewbacca!😂
Chewbacca!!! they do exist!!! 😂😂😂

Haha ya I bought a Jeep to wheel and to mod
Best Buy just installed my new JVC Radio for free in my Jeep Wrangler! Check it out :)
Are I get 3000 miles on the DEF FLIUD it’s not 10000 right help
Well at least it's not like you're drilling holes in a new Bronco, amiright?
Id drill holes in that too if I had one!! lol

Why on every video I say brand new Jeep Wrangler eco diesel. Just not needed
I put it in the title because it attracts different segments of viewers and the youtube algorithm is dumb.
Ready for the " first " comments no one needs to see
This one👆😉
😄😄😄😄😄
@@Casey250 love your Jeep man. I hope to still be welcomed by you when I leave the Jeep family and go back to Ford with the bronco when it comes out
