Good video. I Use Fab 1 air filter oil. Pretty good stuff, also I take grease and rub some around the edges of the air filter to really get a good seal from a lot of the air coming through the edges bringing in dirt and other particles.
Your filters are the bomb! I installed one of your 4" "go kart" filters on my B&S lawnmower engine. It catches quite the dust. Otherwise I would be replacing those paper filters every 10 hours or so. This filter sells for the same price as the replacement paper elements. I initially used K&N oil. I gave it a dunk in my parts washer filled with kerosene and the dirt fell right off. The next time I oiled it by mixing up some kerosene and automatic transmission oil at a 50/50 ratio, gave it a dunk and let it drain off. This seems to work just as well.
UNI is MUCH better for dust, dirt etc. K&N style filters provide a little more air flow but filter much less. Generally it is not a good idea to use a K&N on any off road application, Foam is the way to go .
I have a two stage uni in my Polaris Rzr I inspect my filter after each ride. Our last ride was really dusty. And I did notice it has let a little bit of dust get into my intake is there anything I can do prevent this or should I change filters?
I bought a brand new Uni air filter for y bike ,but I used Maxxima Fab 1 air filter spray on oil ,and I was wondering if this is bad for a uni air filter? or will this air filter oil work fine
I bought uni air filter with a removable cage for my 300ex and I got just the foam air filter oil not the spray stuff. will it still work if I don't use spray oil but just foam air filter oil?
Ok, i have the two stage atv uni filter. I installed it in my sportsman then went and bought the spray at the local motorsport shop. I went home and just sprayed the outer layer "red foam" with the oil spray while it was still connected to my 4wheeeler. Is that ok?
PLEASE REPLY I have an atv with the third type of air filter in the video in 4:45 1. the otter layer(the red one)doesn't she made to be in the oil and the inside(yellow) without oil? 2. I want to do it with regular motor oil because this shit is the same and it cost a lot in my country. so how and how much oil to put because its no spray? ***THANK FOR WHO IS ANSWERING!!!***
Can you say "Over Oiled"? After putting that much oil in them you need to take a rolling pin to them, then blot the rest of the excess in a towel. That's just plain ridiculous.
@@larrychick154 it never stops drippin off either. I thought i had really worked the excess oil out of mine, but within no time the little moisture trap on the bottom of the air box was full and it wasn't from blow by or anything like that. Now this is a minor nuisance but the filter lost most of the oil in no time and was thereby useless. the filter felt dry to the touch, not even greasy at all.

The point of the oil is to catch dust. If you don't oil it then it's pointless. So yes, you MUST oil your filter in order for it to work effectively.

Would bar and chain oil work?
That's enough, DAVE!

Do you need to mess with jets in the carb when you put these in a sled?
most likely, yes.

I bought uni air filter with a removable cage for my 300ex and I got just the foam air filter oil not the spray stuff. will it still work if I don't use spray oil but just foam air filter oil?
yes that's what you want!! filter oil.
Can you buy the uni oil in an automotive store? Or can you use k&n oil instead?
bar oil fir a chainsaw works fine
I don't have a friend named Dave.
I do but I wouldn't trust him to dump oil on my filter :(
Ok
i dont have any foam oil or spray...so wot to?
I used kn oil is that bad
is it okay to use that oil on a k&n filter
because I just tried it and it took forever to spread oil
What kind of oil are you using when you are rubbing it on the dirt bike video? special oil, or the oil you would use on your dirt bike motor?
do uni air filters come oiled some one plss reply!
+Danny lopez Nope. New filters need oil. They're dry.
do these filters require any sort of re-jetting from going from stock or any carb adjustments? or do you just oil it and install? please reply
Great videos!!
is the spray as thick and tacky ?
+nope nope The spray is thick and tacky. I've used it on all my toys. Easy to use. Costs more however. But really easy to apply, and YES. Tacky.
+Tom Glander but is it as thick and tacky as the oil in the bottle ?
+nope nope I have not tried the oil in the bottle. I assume they are identical, other than the additives needed to propel the spray oil from the can.
Oh yes!
Do you make these with velocity stacks?
Thanks! Great video!
Go Dave go!
The music adds a porno vibe. Thanks Dave for all the oil.

I came here looking for this comment. My BRP would be coughing from sucking that oil in.

I’m selling friends named Dave if anyone is interested.
Seriously you could spray the oil yourself. Get your hands dirty. Get some oil on the bottle. Cowboy up.
