New Control Arm with Ball Joint from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ib/1ASF...
Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, as well as integral ball joints that also wear. This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm in your 2000-2006 GMC Yukon.

I recently did this job and here are a few tips. Be careful when disconnecting the hub sensor the plastic tabs are fragile. If you’re doing this on the ground you can jack up the lower control arm high up. Let it drop and it’ll pop out the upper control arm just be careful and make sure your jack stands are securely and safely placed. Also you don’t need the specific wrenches he has you can do the job with a large adjustable wrench.

Great video but why does TRQ say the control arms I bought are maintenance free and 1A Auto tells me they don't need grease fittings and yet, in this TRQ videon at the 7:45 minute mark it shows technician installing grease fittings. All 4 of my brand new TRQ control arms have machine threaded holes for grease fittings and I was intending to start replacing all my front suspension and steering components in 2 days but now I guess I have to either wait for 1A to send grease fittings I need or go pay for my own separately from the kit that is supposed to have everything I need.

It never is that easy even after heating up the bolt as a matter of fact the end of the bolt with the nut on it ripped right off and rest is still rusted in place. Any suggestions on how to remove and replace?

I have a low mileage california tahoe. My undercarriage looks super clean and yet i still cant seperate the knuckle with a pickle fork. Maybe i just need more force?

Did I need to keep the control arm raised while tightening the bolts down. I snugged em down while the ball joint was in the knuckle already

My upper bolts had thin washers with a raised side and a flat side. Where might that normally go?

I have a 2003 Denali XL and I have yet to find a part number for my upper control arms, they are different than any of these videos. It has the ride height sensor attached to the control arm. Anyone have that part number by chance?

Job wasn’t completed and the wheel went on anyways ?! 🤔 good luck without the cam plate and nut on the front upper control arm .
Not sure if it was just video purposes , but i would love to see the other cam plate aligned and torqued….js
No new upper behind tire at end ? Weird …
