I didn’t realize that until I read your comment. I’m not a big Nirvana person but have the utmost respect for Kurt. He was such a rare talent. 30 years….just heartbreaking. What a loss. He had more talent than any of today’s “artists”.
I left out “I’m low” when I said hello helllo and replaced it with hellllo outta respect for Kurt we’ll never know what happened but just an amazing band and will live on forever!!!! Love u Kurt and everyone here!!!! Scott and everyone thanks so much ❤️
Thanks for doing this Scott. The Cobain family is bigger than I once thought they were. Thanks for always doing these videos & visiting these graves in a respecful way. Looking forward to more Kurt videos.
The Cobain family has my condolences over Leland Cobain passing away. And Kurt Cobain passed away back in 1994, when I was 27.May Leland Cobain, RIP and Kurt Cobain RIP 💐🙏Thanks, for the video from Morrow Ga.
Hank Harrison just passed away. He is Courtney Loves dad. He gave youtube videos.....very interesting man.....and he wrote books on kurt and courtney. Leland was very nice to me. I was sad when he passed. A true gentleman. You should look into Hank Harrison... Also Mark Lanegan passed sadly. crazy. Watch Hank Harrison interviews on youtube
My moms side of the family is from Montesano/Aberdeen and I also have family in this cemetery. I’ve only been there once, but it’s a beautiful place. I’m very proud to share a familial experience with this family. I grew up a couple of hours away, but have vivid memories of driving through on the way to the coast.
This is great I remember Leland in a documentary seemed like such a sweet guy. He sure loved Kurt. Kurt's uncle Gary seems like a cool guy as well. Great video Scott.
Thank you, Leland, for your service. And thank you for your undying love and guidance for your grandson Kurt - as well as for all your family. Rest easy. Scott and Johnny Nirvana, thanks you two for the deep dive. Your passion for all things Kurt Cobain and Nirvana is beyond commendable, but your respect is off the chart. This mini-series has been an unexpected joy for me - someone who was from their generation (Gen X) but not a fan of their music. Thanks in no small part to you, I'm giving their music a second chance.
I agree Kurt would be very humbled and happy that so many loved him and will never forget about him and his family as well. My love goes out to all of his surviving family♥️💗♥️
You are always very respectful with these videos, I know from reading one of the biographies about him there was a few suicides in his family, that part of Washington is a tough place to grow up, I can relate I live in New Zealand which is similar weather, remoteness and far too high suicide rates as well, that could be a reason why the family tree isn't consistent online it has a few dark secrets. I wish the best, I also have a brother that committed suicide so yea its a hardship on any family, but lots of love for all, make the good out of the bad, and keep the memories alive
Hi Scott from the UK,,have been following your videos of Kurt and his family with great interest. Thank you for your time/research you've put into them, and the dedication and respect you've always shown............
Dear Scott, it has been so interesting and eye-opening to watch these videos of the late, great Kurt Cobain. The fact that You (and whomever You bring along to a gravesite...) are so respectful towards the person that has passed on, as well as tactful with the loved ones that they've left behind - and Your vast knowledge about the person whose resting place/area where they once lived (and the many different visuals that You include, too...), makes You one of my absolute favorites in videos of this genre.
I was 22 when Kurt passed away, i can remember exactly where i was and what i was doing that day, it felt like when in elvis died in the 70s, i thought that stars or rock stars never died and lived a long healthy life. Kurt will always be remembered, you're keeping his memory alive with each and every video... R.I.P Kurt and all the Cobain family.. thank you Scott for a beautiful find, hugs to you from wisconsin ❤ if he's been gone 30 years already, kurt would be around 52 or 54 today if i have my math straight in which i stink at on the spot lol...
You honor Kurt so well. Although I'm not a Nirvana fan, I can appreciate his contributions to the music industry. To his loyal fans that he dedicated a lot of energy too, they carry his legacy forward as they continue to play his music. A lucky few go on to be musicians themselves, listing Kuirt as a major influence. RIP Kurt Cobain. Your daughter has turned out to be a lovely young lady. You would be proud!
Loving your Kurt Cobain videos so much! You’ve gotten me so fascinated and obsessed with it right now. I’m in suburbs of Seattle, so it’s been fun to revisit all of this again and even see some new things that I never knew. Thank you!!
Hi Scott thank you for listening to my requests on doing more Kurt Cobain and Nirvana videos as he is my favorite musician and I consider myself his number one female fan. Really appreciate all of the research you put into your videos and all of the love you have for your followers. Enjoyed seeing Johnny B and loved you guys singing : Kurt Cobain Kurt Cobain! Peace out
My grandfather Walter Coburn had a sister Loretta Coburn who lived in Àberdeen and was a school teacher, i believe. When the Cobains came to America their last name was often changed to Coburn if they came through immigration in NY. Kurt's family came through Washington so he retained the original last name of Cobain. At the time, when Loretta lived in Aberdeen so did Kurt, his dad, mom and sister (although Kurt and Kim probably weren't born just yet) , but they never knew they were related. My grandfather also had another sister Sarah (Sadie) who lived in Tacoma. The last name thing is really messed up, but that's the way it was back then. Interesting video, Thank you!
Another awesome video. Johnny is such a cool guy. Very respectful. As you always are too Scott. That’s HUGE and no doubt why you have so many subscribers. ❤️
Thank you for doing videos on Kurt and his family. I have learned so much from your videos. I recently moved from Tacoma to Tumwater so I am looking forward to visiting some of the places myself. Keep up the fantastic work, you make my dark days so much better. Your an awesome person and I look forward to seeing what's to come. Stay safe in your travels and I wish you the best!
Scott why do I watch these videos hoping not to have my heartbroken 💔 😢. Seeing kids Graves it does me in. You do a beautiful job with these videos. I see Johnny Nirvana 😃. Johnny or Pete who do I choose 🤔 🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽😂, I guess we keep em both.
Great video Scott! Kurt would be so humble in knowing that you’re showing people his history . I love these videos, thank you so much for what you do . Love from the uk ❤️
Thanks Scott for taking us to these overseas places and the effort and research you put into your vlogs 🇬🇧 - your Kurt Cobain vlogs are very interesting.
My moms side of the family is from and buried here. I’ve been here as a kid, and it’s an absolutely beautiful place. This man did an awesome job with this video.
Thanks Scott, nirvana and kurt where the very first band i ever got into as a teenager and even took up guitar because of him, I really taught I knew everything about him but I’ve learned a lot from you and your videos so thank you 🙏 for sharing, also kurt was the very first celebrity I really cried over still miss him now in my 40s rip kurt and all his family who have passed
Great video Scott! I love the Kurt and Eminem videos especially but all of your work is awesome! You're always very respectful and knowledgeable! Leland was a very nice guy from what I heard about him. Kurt also had a love for him and talked to him shortly before he took his own life that fateful day in 1994. I heard Kurt would spend a lot of time at Leland's trailer because Kurt was homeless a lot of the time sadly. When Nevermind got big, Kurt was getting evicted out of his apartment for non payment of the rent. I couldn't imagine being so poor one day and all the sudden overnight this fame and fortune is just thrusted upon you. And on top of that he had bad mental health issues, also his issues with drugs, and he also had a stomach ailment that he was in pain with a lot of the time. Poor guy. I hope he found some peace. Kurt was just to pure for this world....Thanks again Scott!
Man we appreciate you and all that you do. I enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work. If you are not subscribed to this channel, please do so. This guy is outstanding.
Another very interesting and much appreciated video to share with us of the Cobain family history. Do you ever feel overwhelmed in amazement actually being on locations like this and standing in the presence of history and great people? I feel like I'm there ,in a sense, when watching your videos. Just a humble and connective feeling I have I suppose.
Hi Scott 🙋🏽. I know that guy that made the comment about Kurt Cobain is really pissed off now ‼️ since we've had a Cobain marathon. 😂🤣😆😅 LOL 😂. ENJOY YOUR DAY SCOTT 🙋🏽👍🏽
Great video Scott as always!! Nice to see the Cobain family plots!! RIP Kurt and his family!! Thanks Scott!! Awesome video!! God bless you!!! 🥰🥰🌺🌺♥️♥️💙💙💖💖❤️❤️🌹🌹🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
19:47 I know the guy in the photo on the right of Kurt’s here. His name is Scott. Met him on Facebook through a mutual interest in Rusty Day’s band from the 70’s, called Cactus. I was making some Cactus-related CD-Rs for him, and that’s when he told me he was originally from Aberdeen. I was like, “Hey, isn’t that Kurt Cobain’s hometown? I’m a huge fan of his too!” He said, “Funny you should mention Kurt…….” Then he showed me a photo he took of the page from the yearbook. My jaw dropped to the ground when I saw that! Turned out they were great friends back in the day, and they would often go with some friends underneath the bridge to smoke pot, talk, and hang out. Scott said the last time he ever got to see Kurt in person was at the Nevermind release party. I was blown away!
New watcher here. I really enjoy your stories and I like the respect you pay to people!! My husband has been a subscriber for over a year now! I was wondering if you would ever go to someone’s grave for someone else who couldn’t get there to pay respect? Be blessed and stay safe!!
Scott, another great, detailed look at cool rock history!!! Always respectful, and Johnny B Nirvana seems like such a cool dude!! Maybe he can play more acoustic at some point? 🙏🏽🎸👍😎
I always thought it was sad, given the amount of money the Cobain estate has, that Iris and Leland's gravestone were so sadly simple. Thanks for being respectful there Scott.
Hell, Kurt himself wasn't even buried and was cremated and his ashes were spread in a river close to where he grew up from what I know. His daughter Frances was the one who got to do it (she was still pretty young at the time) and they had kind of a ceremony. Also before this, Courtney carried some of his ashes around in a teddy bear but also brought his ashes to a Buddhist temple to get his ashes blessed or something like that. Just because his estate had money, doesn't mean they are gonna want to make some big elaborate plot for his family. They were generally really private people and also their family tree was very large and confusing. A lot of relations through marriage as well. Also, suicide was sadly something common in the Cobain family. I've heard at least 2 of Kurt's family members died from suicide. I believe Leland's brother (Kurt's uncle) died from suicide a long time ago from what I read in books about Kurt.
As a massive Madonna fan i didn't listen to nirvana or know anything about them thanks to you scott on tape i find myself listening to there music and being mesmerized by kurt cobain what an incredibly talented man gone way to soon i can see why your such a massive fan PS love your videos clare UK 🥰

Hello Scott🤗
The arc of light is so beautiful and prophetic.
Amazing video as always!✌️
Thanks Scott. Awesome work again!
Thanks for another Nirvana video, you do great work with your research well done

There must be tons of landscapers at cemeteries going......well, it’s rock clean up day again.
thanks Scott 😊 awesome as always
great video Scott
Scott, check out the documentary called Nirvana The Untold Stories! You might be able to find some of the folks who were interviewed in it for your channel? I sent a picture of the DVD cover to your Facebook Messenger inbox. I saw something of it here on TH-cam, but it looked like it was edited differently from the copy I have.
Thanks for all your extra hard work! I was
going ask where Don Cobain is. I understand your wisdom now, in not answering the question.
Thank you again Scott for another amazing video on Kurt/Kurts family. I love the music you put on the videos of Kurt, do you mind if I ask what the title is of the misuc? Thank you again Scott
