Baby Metal is Japanese from Japan. Electric Callboy is from Germany. Baby Metal blends Jpop and hard metal. Electric Callboy blends edm and metal core.
To give some more input: Babymetal and Electric Callboy (formerly Eskimo Callboy) have both been around for what feels like ages nowadays. Babymetal are the three Ladies, wich were mere teens when they started out together with their own band doing the instrumental music, and have since been a mix of heavy metal music and idol singing and dancing, while Electric Callboy have been a metalcore Band from the start and have changed their clean singer (nowadays the taller one with the brighter vocals, Nico) some years back and had their first viral hit with "Hypa Hypa". And, if memory serves right, Babymetal's first viral hit was "Gimme Chocolate". (it hactually has been a meme on 9gag in 2018~2019ish) If you like them together, you might as well want to check on their older stuff. To be fair, I am not sure (at least I do not have ears trained enought to know) whether Electric Callboy themselves or Babymetal's band where providing the music, or if they worked together. To put it frankly, it's a coop no one expected, but when this song came out, everybody knew it was about time to happen.
@@shuukurei5994 Nico is the shorter one. Kevin (harsh vocals) is the taller one and nearly always stands behind Nico just to show how short Nico is 🤣 Oh and only two of the original Babymetal members are still with the band, Yui left about 5 or 6 years ago due to illness and was replaced by Momo (the one always on the left side of the screen in the video).
@shuukurei5994 , I don't know for a fact, but I'm pretty certain the band that is playing is the rest of EC. There is a behind the scenes video that EC released, and I'd bet that you can get the definite answer there.
Completely agreed. They really put in the work to inspire each other to create a single work. There's distinct elements from each group. It combines wonderfully. And they even take a shot at doing something that the other group is known for - inspired reaching beyond their comfort zones. Pure joy.
Ugh, the single worst song Electric Callboy has done in over 5 years. Babymetal is played out and that is why their record sales plummeted the last 3 years enough to be dumped by not only their record label, but also the talent agency they were under. That is what happens when you release an album that has almost 40% lower sales and then go on hiatus for 4 years and come back to release another album with a drop in sales almost as large as the other one...they did not even break into the top 70 albums in Japan last year. Metal Galaxy was at 47...Metal Resistance hit #17. Babymetal's gimmick is near its end since not even their own fans are buying their music, and their music videos do not come remotely close to the views as when they were actually good.
@@thomasjones4570 The other one and metal galaxy both peaked at number 3 in Japan, they were not dropped by their agency at all and they own the record label, stop talking rubbish.
@@paulmarks3662 PEAKED its first week and then dropped. I am talking TOTAL SALES AND YEAR PERFORMANCE. They changed record labels each time in the last 3 albums from Sony to Fox to having to make their own and its clear you have no idea what you are talking about since you do not even know what has happened to Amuse...typical dumbass blind fanboy pretending shit is great when the entire planet knows better. They cannot even get the TH-cam views they used to get.
These are two of the most insane live bands in the world right now, so people went nuts when they decided to collab. BABYMETAL (the three ladies) are especially epic live! They blend J-pop with heavy metal instrumentation. They are Japan's biggest musical export to the West since X-Japan in the 80s. As a rapper, I suspect you'll appreciate their song "BxMxC."
So this song was a true collaboration between the 2 groups. Electric Callboy makes what is best described as party metal (a mix of metal, EDM, and other genres), and Baby Metal makes a cross between J-pop and metal. Both artists are phenomenal in their own right, but something about this collaboration just hits like nothing else!
24 million views in just a few months. It was the summer song at the Metal festivals, they both played at most of them and did the song together on stage. Festivals got it 2x, once when EC did their set and then later when BM did their set, the crowd was so lit up when this song came up.
Great collaboration between two great bands. Electric Callboy (dudes in disco ball helmets) are from Germany, they're great fun. BABYMETAL (the three young ladies) are from Japan - and you have never seen or heard anything quite like them ... and if you like bending, mixing and blending genres they must become a big favourite for you. BABYMETAL started in 2010 aged 12 and 11 as a fusion of Metal with JPop hooks, melodies and aesthetics ... they have been pushing boundaries and breaking through walls ever since. In the 14 years since then they have gone on to be one of the very best live bands on the planet. They have about 70 songs now, each one different to the last. They have songs in virtually every metal genre (thrash, djent, power, speed, black, death, folk, Prog etc), but they will mix and blend so many more musical styles with the metal (Jpop, ska, Bollywood, Middle Eastern Psy-trance, dub step, Latino, EDM, Finnish polka, rap, hip hop and more). They are at their best live, but try one of their very first music videos to get you started - 'IINE' (that is iine, not Line and it is pronounce ee-neh. It means 'so good' like a thumbs up emoji). With that song they were establishing very early on that they will not be stuck in one box or pigeonholed in one genre. Alternatively how about their song featuring Thai rapper F Hero - 'PA PA YA'.
Megitsune, Karate, Papaya, and Doki Doki Morning are some of my favorite Babymetal songs that are definitely worth a look if you want more of them. They're absolutely worth checking out. They started when they were really young: The oldest girl was set to 'graduate' (age out) of a kid J-pop group, but there was a music producer who wanted to help her career, and had the idea of using a heavy metal band in conjunction with the cutesy J-pop singers. Babymetal absolutely popped off and has become a phenomenon ever since. They also do a lot of collaborations/one-off songs with other bands, like Road to Resistance with Dragonforce, which is another incredible band that you 10000% need to check out on this channel. Some of the fastest shredding powermetal in the game.
Yeah maybe 5 years ago when they were still a decent gimmick. Last two albums have sucked and their massive drop in sales on both show it. Even their videos cant touch their old videos.
Welcome to Babymetal. Su, the female lead singer, is for sure one of the most proficient and technically adept singers you'll ever hear, and when you see them live, you KNOW she's singing live, no matter how much she dances.
Listen to the live Wacken open air version from Nightwish and their song "Ghost Love Score" and enjoy! 😊 Floor is by far one of the best singers worldwide ❤
Electric Callboy is great. Definitely a fun rabbit hole to go down. Their videos are hilarious. Got to see them live for the first time last year. It's such an fun and energetic show.
I love both bands and this song is one of the best songs of the last ten years. Electric Callboy is super fun and creative and BABYMETAL is just plain epic. Kitsune dao!
Great reaction. I love seeing people discovering these groups for the first time! Babymetal has a deep and diverse catalogue - just when you think you’ve got them figured out, they do something new. And their creative and technical teams are amazing with incredible live performances. I’m sure you’ll get lots of suggestions for what to watch next - you really can’t go wrong so enjoy the journey. 🦊🤘
Electric Callboy are from Germany. Great party core. a mix of metalcore and Edm techno . (please check out their track "we got the moves". You will not regret And Baby metal are from Japan
Great reaction! Always fun seeing a real first time - for either band! But together?! Awesome 🤟🏻🤟🏻 BABYMETAL are huge and have a massive fan base. You’ll see… 😉
Babymetal formed in 2010, if you love the blending of genres and creativity you will love the groups listed below there is no real set genre with them, all Japanese (7 members 4 rappers and 3 singers, thought all can rap and sing, R&B, Hip Hop, Pop/dance/EDM all official songs are English) girl group XG, Babymetal (from Japan, who do an amazing blend of genres from rap, hip hop, dance … and blend it all with rock/metal), Electronic Callboy (from Germany) and Ginger (from Ukraine), these groups all have songs that are in English
I love that BP showed you these two bands and if you want a good laugh combined with great music there are a few Electric Callboy has that you would enjoy and Babymetal are just simply amazing 😍❤
Try Babymetal, you won't be disappointed. I love metal, but I never knew I needed choreography and pop lyrics over the top, they are the freshest thing I've heard in 20+ years. Always watch them live, live Babymetal is the best Babymetal 😎
I saw Babymetal, VIP, front of the pit on their 3rd show in America. Austin, TX. Amazing show. That was right when Yuimetal left. I wish I could have seen the original lineup but Baby God died as well. I’m glad that they have kept doing into something more than they ever imaged. 🤘
Nice one! You just opened the door to Babymetal, one of the most amazing live performance acts fusing J-Pop with Heavy Metal. They’re one of the most internationally popular Japanese bands today. Electric Callboy is German, and mixed electronic and metal for a satirically fun time. Lead vocalist for Babymetal is Su-metal, and she is an incredible singer, who’s been doing Babymetal for 14 years, and she’s only 26! Check out their song BxMxC live to see her spit some fire in a heavy metal rap battle 🤘🦊
BABYMETAL are amazing. They started off over 10 years ago as a cute gimmick with 3 teen Japanese girls doing metal music and they really turned it into something really special. Super clever, super talented, and super hard working. If you blend genres, you're gonna love em.
@@emperorchopchop7726 It’s true that early on (and even now) some gatekeepers insisted that BabyMetal was a gimmick. But I have no doubt that Kobayashi (Kobametal) did not think that, not at all. He was a big fan of Metal (rumor has it his earliest jobs as a kid were selling food at Metal Fests) and he wanted to shake Metal loose from what he thought was a serious, dull, rut. Adding Idol dancing and Kawaii did exactly that. He also sourced the very best musicians available to play behind the (then) girls. Then, he found songwriters to write extraordinarily great music to blend the two genres. Frankly, I think even his production company (Amuse) might have thought it a fluke at first - they offered minimal financial support at the beginning. Instead, what happened is that, from top to bottom, from Su’s voice and stage presence to the techs responsible for lighting and effects, he got the very best talent, and that talent committed itself to perfection. They get darn close, I think.
Babymetal does cute, does heavy, does melodic, does thrash, does ballads, does energy. They draw from metal, pop, hindi, rap, traditional japanese. Their backup band is lit. They have enormous concerts and work tirelessly with their choreography. They are the absolute best. Check out BxMxC, Shanti Shanti Shanti, and then Monochrome (First Take piano version) to understand just how diverse, dynamic, and incredibly talented they are. Su is a goddess. Momo is a million kilotons of joy. Moa is a living breathing work of art. Callboy is great too… :-)
At 78, these 2 bands still blow me away. I've been listening to rock since the 50s. I started with the black Memphis radio station in the early 50s that a much older cousin surreptitiously listened to in her father's car. She swore me to secrecy first. Lots of older folks think todays music has nothing to offer but snippets of pre 90s music, single overhyped performers and chorus lines. Nobody seems to play instruments or write their own music any more. These 2 put that stereotype to rest. Best I've seen in decades. I hadn't watched BM as adults before and their maturity shows here. These were their first acting roles with no singing and dancing. They jumped at the chance. And Momo got a chance to use her shouting vocals with Kevin. Incidentally, Moa and Momo are called cheerleaders, which translates to "dance and scream".
BabyMetal is one of those bands youd assume was a joke until you saw how much they put into being awesome. Theyve got the approval of alot of old school hard rockers like Metallica.
Want to be blown away by Babymetal? Listen to BxMxC where she's spitting bars in japenese and even not understanding the language im sure youll get the techniques she uses to rap
👍👍Awesome collaboration and performance. Welcome to the foxhole.Su's shot in the famous John Travolta’s 'Saturday Night Fever' pose was cool. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤ Babymetal - Monochrome (PIA Arena 2023 Live) Eng Subs BABYMETAL - BxMxC【Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2023 - 2024 LEGEND - MM」】
Great reaction! Both of these bands are genre benders on their own. I don't know too much about Electric Callboy, but I think the mixture of Electronic Dance Music and Metal is their thing. BABYMETAL have been my favourite band for years now, they have been fusing all sorts of genres with Metal for 14 years now. So if you are into genre bending, you might find more gems among their music. For me personally, there's not a single bad song in their whole catalogue. So far this is the only collaboration between both bands, though.
If you like blending genres then you'll love Babymetal! They blend everything from Jpop to Heavy Metal to Rap to Reggae to Dubstep to Bollywood. I recommend Papaya, Monochrome & BxMxC.
BabyMetal is a Japanese Kawaii Metal band. They're amazing live. You should definitely listen to them. I believe Babymetal has been around for like 10 years, which is amazing because they're so young . Check out their songs "Headbanger" , "Karate" or "Gimme Chocolate". That's a good starting point.
Babymetal puts on a hell of a live show. I've seen them both times they've come to Nashville. Never been disappointed. You should definitely peep them live if you can.
Babymetal is Japan's #1 International Group with a #1 Album in the USA - "Metal Galaxy" (Oct. 23, 2019 Billboards "Top Rock Album" chart)!! Electric Callboy (formerly Eskimo Callboy) is a German Electronicore Band!! This was THE COLAB of the Summer of 2024!! This Song brought both groups their First #1 Single in the USA (Billboards "Digital Download Sales" chart)!! Dude, you have to check out more Babymetal for sure!! And Electric Callboy too!! More Babymetal Always!!! Put your Kitsune UP!!
#1 for a week...#49 for the year a major drop from the performance of Metal Resistance and their latest album is doing total shit. They were dropped by their record label and their talent agency and are now on their own with the jackass holding them back, Koba and Amuse. The Gimmick is over, not even their videos get the views they used to get.
@@thomasjones4570 Uh, no. They were not dropped by their Lable and they are still represented by their Talent agency, Amuse, INC. And they are still with UTA in the USA/North America (unless I missed a recent presser) If you are talking about "Metal Galaxy", their #1 album having a "drop" in performance vs "Metal Resistance", I don't think so. Metal Resistance peaked at #39 not 49, and was the first Japanese Group to ever have an album break into the Top 40 on the USA Billboard Charts. Granted, Metal Resistance was on Billboards "Hot 200" album chart which is the "Big" chart that covers all genres, but the "Top Rock Album chart is no second rate place. They beat out all other Rock/Metal Album offerings that week. So what you are saying in your derogatory way is that one is better than another....I don't care and you are welcome to your opinion. And their latest Album "The Other One" was not even marketed in the West and still managed a #15 spot on Billboars "Top Rock Album" chart....so meh. But..."They still Rock Harder Than You!" [sic. Rob Zombie] LoL...Love that quote! Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
@@watcher2554 It does not matter what YOU think, the sales numbers are public and all album rankings are official and published and ANYONE can go to their TH-cam page and compare their biggest hits from their first 2 albums, look at their VIEWS and compare that to the views on their videos of their last two albums. If they are so damn good and popular, why do they always open for other fucking bands outside of Japan?!? Oh yeah...reality. The thing that also would show you what happened to Amuse...and that their last album was released by Cooking Vinyl America and Toy's Factory while Metal Galaxy was released by BMD Fox Records and EarMusic and Metal Resistance, when they were GOOD was released by SONY MUSIC. Sales and year end rankings Metal Resistance = Certified Gold, over 230,000 sales. @@watcher2554 You posted this same shit in another thread and did so after I fully refuted it there. You are the weirdest and worst kind of fanboy. Literally sitting at the table sipping your coffee ignoring the room burning down around you.
You should really watch more BabyMetal. Watch live performances of Headbanger, Road of Resistance, and Monochrome to see the range of what they do. Watch the live performances because these young women can command a crowd. They also have done a great collaboration with Being Me the Horizon called Kingslayer -- the live videos of that are awesome, too.
Welcome to the BabyMetal foxhole 🦊 and Electric Callboy rabbit hole 🐰 this best collaboration of 2024 and has been delighted metal festival crowds and shows everywhere. I am a BabyMetal fan but enjoyed EC in this collaboration. If you like your music mixed in styles, you need to check out BabyMetal. Nothing is of limits . If you want fun, try Metali a live version, a great fun song 😁🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
This is all my favorite dam artists coming together. From electric callboy and babymetal collaborating and now krizz kaliko reviewing it. 2 years ago I would've made up this scenario as a dream match scenario
Just watched a vid about the production...9 days pre, 3 days the girls were available between tours, final version of the song not even done. The most ballzout video production ever. "We just wemt with it" Frickin worked out, right? PROFESSIONALISIM, and indie attitude. Wow.
What you're going to love is that both bands have done collaborations with rappers: Electric Callboy with the German rapper Finch on "Spaceman", and Babymetal with the Thai rapper F. Hero on "Pa Pa Ya". Both awesome songs that you need to check out.
An epic collab to be sure, and an incredible song; it sounds like it could be in a Disney animated musical. And the "ooha- ooha" part brings to mind the anniversary party in Fix-it Felix's apartment in the movie "Wreck-it Ralph" ("Fix-it Felix, ooha-ooha"). 😁 BABYMETAL - from Japan - has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven. Unfortunately, Yui left the group in 2018 because of health concerns, and early in 2023 Momoko Okazaki (Momometal) was named a member of the group. They do not play instruments but are backed by the Kami Band - session musicians who are among the best that Japan (and the U.S.) has to offer. BABYMETAL started a brand new genre of music ("kawaii metal" - cute metal), and they cannot be pigeon-holed - they are almost always thinking and moving outside box; they made listening to metal FUN! They have, to date, four studio albums with over fifty songs, and have been on a number of world tours. It is common knowledge among their devoted fans (known as "The One") that BABYMETAL is best served live, but they do have several music videos that are real works of art. I suggest you go back to the beginning, and react to their first two music videos, "Doki Doki Morning" and "Iine!" (pronounced "E-nay"), both released in 2012. You’ll notice those are the first two on this list of recommended songs (with links to suggested versions). The first sixteen are from what I've come to call "The Golden Age of BABYMETAL" (better known as "The Yui Era"). If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . . Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest: "Legend 1997 Apocalypse" th-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q.html and/or "Budokan Black Night" (2014) th-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI.html Both concerts are, in a word, incredible. A technical suggestion, if I may: when you pause, go back about five or ten seconds before resuming, that way you regain the flow of the song. You may or may not know that if you tap your keyboard space bar once it will pause the video, another tap will resume play. Also, if you tap the left arrow key once, it will rewind the video five seconds (a second tap for another five seconds), and tapping the right arrow key will advance the video five seconds. This may also help baffle the YT copyright police. Also, you shouldn't have to pause the video any more than three times. Just sayin'. Enjoy your trip down the foxhole! (You're in for a wild ride!!!) Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!) KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
As a Metal Head, this collab had me more hyped than any other song that's been released. Babymetal is from Japan, and they have the respect of some of the biggest names in Metal. Check out their collab with BMTH - Kingslayer. Electric Callboy... they are amazing all on their own. German group, they are where the EDM aspect comes in. Check out their cover of Every Time We Touch!
At 70, I've got a few miles behind me and I can say that after more than half a century of music, BABYMETAL is by far the best I've ever known. It's a whole planet to discover 🦊🤘
Totally with you there! I'm 76 and I was running around in the circle pit @ Makuhari during Road of Resistance! Only BABYMETAL can make an old geezer like me go crazy!
BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL): might be the best live performance ever uploaded to youtube. BABYMETAL - Headbanger Live @ Legend 1997 Apocalypse: awesome live performance and arguably the best song in their discography.
Welcome and thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。 "Musical diversity" is what BABYMETAL are relentlessly pursuing. I can't wait for your reacting to their song "BxMxC (Baby Metal Cypher)". Su-Metal, the lead singer of BM, spits bars in that song 😍 Just so you know, BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life as a Japanese.
Babymetal and Electric Callboy are legitimately my two favorite current bands, and I'm 45. I'll throw you a sub in the hopes you hit more of them, they're both mind blowingly talented, doing new things that work
Hi, here is the recommendation for you! (Sorry, my English is not good, use DeepL to translate) 1.BABYMETAL-PA PA YA ft.F.HERO(Thai rapper) 2.BABYMETAL-BxMxC 3.BABYMETAL-Iine(This is their early work) Extra recommendation: BABYMETAL-MONOCHROME. There are several versions 1.OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO(MV+Lyrics) 2.THE FIRST TAKE Piano.ver (you can focus on the vocal and the beautiful piano) 3.The live official performance version (BABYMETAL's absolute strengths, leading the crowd + choreography + stage design + lighting design + beautiful vocals + top musicians, all live settings are enviable) (Legend MM 2024 Live will be a good choice) A gentle reminder that although Gimme chocolate!!!!is their most watched video, this song is a polarizing one, so we recommend going back to it after you've gone deeper into the foxhole!
Great reaction. One of the great pleasures of watching first reactions to Electric Callboy is the jump scare. And you didn’t disappoint. 😂❤ Both bands mix metal with other genres. And both have catchy and heavy songs individually as well. Their concerts are crazy. But Electric Callboy are a goofier than Babymetal. And they wear the costumes from their videos when performing live. While Babymetal have the better dance moves. 😁 But man this collaboration is just crazy catchy. 🥰🦊🪩🔥 The boys are from Germany, but usually sing in English. But they also have some (partly) German songs. And Babymetal usually sing Japanese. (So no K-Pop, but J-Pop 😉) Their songs are much fun and you should check out more. Definitely worth it. ❤
Found you through BP and so glad to see you reacting to Babymetal. Welcome to the Fox Hole. I'm a Babymetal fan, but both bands are great and there is so much more to explore - especially since the ladies have been doing this since they were little girls. I hope to see you do more reactions to both bands - they're all about spreading the joy and building community. Welcome and have fun with it! ❤🖤❤
This was the summerhit/collab of the year for me, such a fun song and a true collab as well, where both acts worked together to create this goodness. Usually in most collabs it's one artist/act who provides the song and the other add their lines to that, not in this case, they've created it together. You'll love both these bands i'm sure, Babymetal is incredibly well crafted metal with a Jpop/idol sauce sprinkled over it, while Electric Callboy is taking techno and metal to the next level, while adding a ton of humor on top of all that, this collab should never have worked this well but man.. it is perfection to me ;) (it reached #1 in the US Metal charts, first #1 hit for both i believe)
Both groups are masters of genre blending. Electric Callboy perfected party-core, BABYMETAL invented kawaii-metal. They are absolute units... and when they meet, this is what happens. You are either smiling ear to ear or picking your jaw up from the floor.
If you like genre blending, you'll love both of these bands. They've perfected it, and in two distinct and awesome ways. "What?" is typical reaction for those BabyMetal and Electric Callboy. Both very rewarding rabbit holes. Hope you dive in. 🤘🦊🤘 Welcome to the fox hole.
Saw Electric Callboy back in May at Sonic Temple just days before they released this song. Unfortunately I did not get to experience this song live as they decided to debut it in Japan at Fox Fest a week later which was put on by Babymetal. You can watch the live debut on Babymetal's channel as well. This song was also the song that got me into Babymetal. Had known the name for years but never listened to them. Since then, Babymetal have quickly became a favorite of mine and will be driving 4 hours to see them when they tour the US next month. Surprised that Grington kept his comment as short as he did (Usually he writes a whole page about Babymetal), to fill that though I'll offer some info, which has likely already been given in other comments. Babymetal started out in 2010 when they were only 11 and 12 years old. Su-Metal is the oldest of the group and the lead singer, she was born on December 20th, 1997. Moametal is next with the current lineup, she was born July 4th, 1999 and her official role is scream and dance (though scream is not to be taken literally, more akin to backup singing). Last is Momometal, who is the newest member of the group, she officially joined last April however, she has been a part of the group since 2019. She was born March 3, 2003. Her official role is also scream and dance, though compared to Moa, you can take scream quite literally (She did the second Are You Ready in the breakdown and the two "Everybody") They only have one former member, Yuimetal, who left the band back in 2018 after not performing for a year due to undisclosed health issues. She was born June 20th, 1999. Her role was also Scream and Dance like Moa. They mix and match many different genres into their songs, so no one song will sound the same as another of theirs. Many of the One (as the collective of the fans are known as) can actually name many songs purely based on the first 10 seconds of the instrumentals, even including the live performances. They created their own genre called Kawaii Metal, meaning Cute Metal, which is a mixture of J-pop and Metal Electric Callboy have also been around since 2010, however, they did not start to really get popular outside of Germany until around 2020 when they announced a new clean vocalist, Nico Sallach. Since Nico's joining they have put out hit after hit and have blown up in popularity. Their harsh vocalist, Kevin Ratajczak, has been with the band since they started. Similar to Babymetal they sort of pioneered their own genre called Partycore, which mixes Metalcore, EDM and Techno, They do not take themselves serious, any of their videos, you can't help but to just simply smile and have a grand time with. However, they do take the music serious. Suggestions; Babymetal: Road of Resistance Live in Japan or Headbanger Live Legend 1997 (abr metal has a good version) Electric Callboy: Hypa Hypa or We Got the Moves
I personally prefer the Budokan 2021 performance of BMC, the swagger is off the charts. The TH-cam channel 'For The Fox God' seems to get through the copyright blockers well enoughm
Babymetal just love to mix it all up they are so unique and with Su`s vocal`s cutting over the wall of noise they are incredible live, the lads from EC are not too bad as well lol
Electric Callboy are a vibe as are Baby Metal. Do yourself a favor and go down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole. We Got The Moves, Hypa Hypa, Pump It, Everytime We Touch, Tekkno Train
The girls are Babymetal, and they are japanese. Their style is often called Kawai Metal. Electric Callboy are a german band, and their style is partycore. And they mix Metalcore, with dance, pop and edm. Yes, that dude can sing. He could easily sing R'N'B style. It doesn't have more views because it came out this year, it's not a classic. 😉 Not yet.
Japan and Germany. Seen Babymetal first time in 2017 on their Korn tour and been in love with their music since! They have been around for ever but did change out Yuimetal (one of the original 3) a bit ago... Check out their song Megitsune from 2013 for example. Be original and react to one of their older songs lol... you will not be disappointed.
Great reaction! You´ll have a lot of fun with reactions to songs from both bands, Electric Callboy from Germany and BABYMETAL from Japan. I don´t go with the old joke here, but this collaboration was phenomenal, and so much fun! Electric Callboy are great fun🤣 If you want to react to BABYMETAL, do live as much as possible! You won´t regret it. BABYMETAL live is a really wild ride, every single time, and with every single song! (except for "Up Down Left Right BBAB", the only song BABYMETAL never performed live)
Originally a sub-unit of the larger JPop group, Sakura Gakuin, Babymetal was an experiment in blending JPop hooks, vocals and idol elements with heavy metal. It was not intended to last beyond a few years until lead singer Suzuka Nakamoto graduated out of SG at the age of 15. Their parent agency (AMuse) wouldn't even provide additional funding for producer Kei Kobayashi's metal project. But due to Babymetal's increasing popularity, when Su graduated, Babymetal split off from SG and became it's own group in 2013 and became a international wonder in 2014 due to their song "Gimme Chocolate" going viral. 10 years later and a slight change in the lineup, Babymetal is still going strong. Kitsune Da-O! 🤘🦊🤘
Kevin (harsh vocals) is the taller one and nearly always stands behind Nico just to show how short Nico is 🤣
Oh and only two of the original Babymetal members are still with the band, Yui left about 5 or 6 years ago due to illness and was replaced by Momo (the one always on the left side of the screen in the video).
@shuukurei5994 , I don't know for a fact, but I'm pretty certain the band that is playing is the rest of EC. There is a behind the scenes video that EC released, and I'd bet that you can get the definite answer there.
This is a very apt description.
Japan and Germany collaborating for the 2nd time in history and it’s a good thing.
It was absolutely an instant classic. The perfect example of a 50/50 collab, not one artist featuring another, an actual 50/50 collab.
@@thomasjones4570 The cope is strong with this neckbeard chud.
"I don't know why I love that so much, but I do." Exactly.
You should check out more Eletric Callboy like HYPA HYPA, PUMP IT, We Got the Moves, Every time we touch Ask BP he will tell you
Leaving a comment here to promote the comment :)
I am 100% down for him to see each one of these and i cant decide which I am most excited for.
And to add to that do not forget Hurrikann
And all the variations of Hypa Hypa, on top of the original. The Sasha version is awesome.
Babymetal and Electric Callboy are both super fun.
More of them, please
So this song was a true collaboration between the 2 groups. Electric Callboy makes what is best described as party metal (a mix of metal, EDM, and other genres), and Baby Metal makes a cross between J-pop and metal. Both artists are phenomenal in their own right, but something about this collaboration just hits like nothing else!
24 million views in just a few months. It was the summer song at the Metal festivals, they both played at most of them and did the song together on stage. Festivals got it 2x, once when EC did their set and then later when BM did their set, the crowd was so lit up when this song came up.
We need more Electric Callboy reactions for sure!
Never thought I would be 61 and loving Babymetal! LOL
music do not have age
Mee too! :)
If they're good enough for Rob Halford and Rob Zombie, they're certainly good enough for me.
Babymetal is just a great band. Their concert movie was only playing twice in movie theaters. I made sure to see it. It was so good.
They are at their best live, but try one of their very first music videos to get you started -
'IINE' (that is iine, not Line and it is pronounce ee-neh. It means 'so good' like a thumbs up emoji).
With that song they were establishing very early on that they will not be stuck in one box or pigeonholed in one genre.
Alternatively how about their song featuring Thai rapper F Hero - 'PA PA YA'.
I 100% agree that video deserves a billion views!
I'm at least 1 million of them!
Papaya from baby metal live is amazing
None of us really know why we love Babymetal. And that's why it's so mind-blowing 😂😂😂
That's 21 million views in just 4 months. These 2 bands need to do a lot more collaborations.
Saw babymetal in concert in Seattle last year. Love them. Have a dvd collection of they're concerts. BxMxC is my favorite song. Sue then singer raos.

Electric Callboy is great. Definitely a fun rabbit hole to go down. Their videos are hilarious. Got to see them live for the first time last year. It's such an fun and energetic show.
The best energy in a song I have ever seen! Pure Platinum for sure!!!!!
I love both bands and this song is one of the best songs of the last ten years.
Electric Callboy is super fun and creative and BABYMETAL is just plain epic.
Kitsune dao!
cant wait to see him go down this rabbit hole....
and the fox hole....
You will not regret
And Baby metal are from Japan
This track started because Babymetal wanted a track like "We Got the Moves"
Great reaction! Always fun seeing a real first time - for either band! But together?! Awesome 🤟🏻🤟🏻
BABYMETAL are huge and have a massive fan base. You’ll see… 😉
You need to watch "Hypa Hypa" and "We got the moves" and "Pump it" from Electric Callboy
I will watch every reaction on Electric Callboy
A great first reaction to both these amazing bands👊🏽⚡️🤘🏾🦊
BABYMETAL are amazing. They started off over 10 years ago as a cute gimmick with 3 teen Japanese girls doing metal music and they really turned it into something really special. Super clever, super talented, and super hard working. If you blend genres, you're gonna love em.
They weren't meant to be a gimmick tho😊
I love baby metal I have there vynel and that singer sequeler and guitarist
My goodness I love watching people 1st time reaction to EC and or BM, this collab is 2x the fun
Callboy is great too… :-)
Baby metal is definitely a "must see" live at least once. I saw then in Bangkok, they are super professional. And EC is always a fun time. 🎉🎉🎉
Definitely check out more Electric Callboy. They blend metal, edm, techno, ect.
They are the guys and are German.
The "are you ready" echo is one of the girls, Momometal!
Baby metal and electric callboy are amazing watch everything both of these groups have ever produced it's all amazing!
This lady's are maraton dancers ....full of energis and electric callboy are fire
👍👍Awesome collaboration and performance. Welcome to the foxhole.Su's shot in the famous John Travolta’s 'Saturday Night Fever' pose was cool. Great reaction. 🦊 🖖❤

BABYMETAL - BxMxC【Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL WORLD TOUR 2023 - 2024 LEGEND - MM」】
I hope you react to more of both of these groups. They are both awesome! Thank you for the video and reaction!

And they are still with UTA in the USA/North America (unless I missed a recent presser)
If you are talking about "Metal Galaxy", their #1 album having a "drop" in performance vs "Metal Resistance", I don't think so.

BABYMETAL - from Japan - has an extensive history (and lore) which I won’t get into but a quick synopsis: they’ve been around since 2010, and started when their lead singer - known as Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) - was about twelve, and the two "cheerleaders" (officially "scream and dance" (backing vocals)) - Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) and Yuimetal (Yui Mizuno) - were both around eleven.
This list also includes all four songs of the BABYMETAL sub-group Black BABYMETAL (just Yui and Moa while Su is taking a break):

You can use my TH-cam playlist “BABYMETAL Top Twenty” ( th-cam.com/play/PLdhz2aj0pt4zPl0BZLevPUR9uHKQA27uj.html ) as a quick link to all of these videos; it is a mix of MV’s and live performances, is more or less in historical sequence, and could be considered a road map down the BABYMETAL foxhole. If nothing else, it can be used as a reference to find high quality versions of BABYMETAL songs without mucking about - if they are on the list. Anyway . . . .
Another recommendation (read "challenge"): react to an entire BABYMETAL concert. I suggest:
"Legend 1997 Apocalypse" th-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wCao72oSqTMLrGpIDOqzR2Q.html
and/or
"Budokan Black Night" (2014) th-cam.com/play/PLdBAj9hZ91wBwsBfjsKH9zWxA5YOOUkSI.html
Both concerts are, in a word, incredible.
(You're in for a wild ride!!!)
Keep rockin' BABYMETAL!!! (Sorry about the wall!)
KITSUNE UP!!!
I’m always so impressive watching metal singers switch between a smooth and growly voice
Germany meets Japan and blows Krizz's mind. Win for BP. 🤘🤘🤘🤘😂😂😂
Best collaboration ever. This song only came out this summer. You need to check out more Babymetal. Welcome to the Fox hole. 🤘🦊🤘 Liked and subscribed.
Babymetal are the masters of genre blending.
It definitely needs a billion views, it was song of the summer. I couldn't get my kids to stop singing it.
Welcome to the party, pal!
Welcome and thanks from Japan 有難う 💛。 "Musical diversity" is what BABYMETAL are relentlessly pursuing. I can't wait for your reacting to their song "BxMxC (Baby Metal Cypher)". Su-Metal, the lead singer of BM, spits bars in that song 😍
Just so you know, BABYMETAL is the best musical phenomenon I have ever experienced in my 69-year-long life as a Japanese.
Electric Callboy is a German band that blurs genres, and they're amazing. Go down the rabbit hole my dude, you won't be disappointed.
Babymetal and Electric Callboy are legitimately my two favorite current bands, and I'm 45. I'll throw you a sub in the hopes you hit more of them, they're both mind blowingly talented, doing new things that work
My favorite reaction ever! Love this guy. 😊
Hi, here is the recommendation for you! (Sorry, my English is not good, use DeepL to translate)
1.BABYMETAL-PA PA YA ft.F.HERO(Thai rapper)
2.BABYMETAL-BxMxC
3.BABYMETAL-Iine(This is their early work)
Extra recommendation: BABYMETAL-MONOCHROME.
There are several versions
1.OFFICIAL LYRIC VIDEO(MV+Lyrics)
2.THE FIRST TAKE Piano.ver (you can focus on the vocal and the beautiful piano)
3.The live official performance version (BABYMETAL's absolute strengths, leading the crowd + choreography + stage design + lighting design + beautiful vocals + top musicians, all live settings are enviable) (Legend MM 2024 Live will be a good choice)
A gentle reminder that although Gimme chocolate!!!!is their most watched video, this song is a polarizing one, so we recommend going back to it after you've gone deeper into the foxhole!
Love it!!! Thank you for sharing 🙏
Welcome to the Foxhole....I saw this once and blam, now addicted to Babymetal and EC individually as well as this one lol
It's definitely worth checking out both bands separately! They're an experience and bring this kind of energy to most of their music.
6:08 was great! Love the reactions brother!
I can totally see Kriss do a feature on Electric Callboy
I like baby metal by itself more. Specially their heavier songs 😊
Great reaction. One of the great pleasures of watching first reactions to Electric Callboy is the jump scare. And you didn’t disappoint. 😂❤
Both bands mix metal with other genres. And both have catchy and heavy songs individually as well.
Their concerts are crazy. But Electric Callboy are a goofier than Babymetal. And they wear the costumes from their videos when performing live. While Babymetal have the better dance moves. 😁
But man this collaboration is just crazy catchy. 🥰🦊🪩🔥
The boys are from Germany, but usually sing in English. But they also have some (partly) German songs. And Babymetal usually sing Japanese. (So no K-Pop, but J-Pop 😉)
Their songs are much fun and you should check out more.
Tekkno train Tekkno train Tekkno train Tekkno train Tekkno train you’ll love the video
CHOOCHOO!
This was the song was 2024 song of summer.
They created their own genre called Kawaii Metal, meaning Cute Metal, which is a mixture of J-pop and Metal
Electric Callboy have also been around since 2010, however, they did not start to really get popular outside of Germany until around 2020 when they announced a new clean vocalist, Nico Sallach.
Suggestions;
Babymetal: Road of Resistance Live in Japan or Headbanger Live Legend 1997 (abr metal has a good version)
Electric Callboy: Hypa Hypa or We Got the Moves
I think the original meaning of scream in Babymetal might have been: yell, as in leading the crowd.
Babymetal are so good they even got there own music genre 😂
If you check out any more Babymetal, a) beware the copyright gods, b) watch BxMxC live with English subs from a recent performance (2023 or 2024)
I personally prefer the Budokan 2021 performance of BMC, the swagger is off the charts. The TH-cam channel 'For The Fox God' seems to get through the copyright blockers well enoughm
I suspect it just takes some legal niceties beforehand to avoid the copyright demons since some channels seem to have fewer problems.
Babymetal just love to mix it all up they are so unique and with Su`s vocal`s cutting over the wall of noise they are incredible live, the lads from EC are not too bad as well lol
Babymetal collabed with Lil Uzi Vert on a song called The End off his latest album. Check out Babymetal - Catch Me if You Can.
Electric Callboy are a vibe as are Baby Metal. Do yourself a favor and go down the Electric Callboy rabbit hole.
We Got The Moves, Hypa Hypa, Pump It, Everytime We Touch, Tekkno Train
Go down the rabbit hole, then go down the fox hole!
You and Black Pegasus need to react to some more Babymetal. Especially their live shows, they’ll blow your mind
😉 Not yet.
It will be eventually 😁🤘🏼🦊
@@martinmetal7481Definitely 🦊🪩🔥
And they put it on both of the bands channels- which I actually think was a cool idea
The first time I heard this, I played it on replay for an hour.
