Indians should not give too much attention and importance to what an ex American president has to advice on human rights and minority rights. To begin with, Muslims are not an ethnic minority in India. Religion should not qualify an individual for special treatment, preference, or rights different from any regular citizen of the country. The Muslims in India want Hindus to practice secularism but allow Indian Muslims to have their separate Islamic laws and not confirm to the civil code applicable to the rest of the country. Too bad. Indians should not give too much attention and importance to what an ex American president has to advice on human rights and minority rights. To begin with, Muslims are not an ethnic minority in India. Religion should not qualify an individual for special treatment, preference, or rights different from any regular citizen of the country. The Muslims in India want Hindus to practice secularism but allow Indian Muslims to have their separate Islamic laws and not confirm to the civil code applicable to the rest of the country. Too bad. The Moghuls are dead and gone. The Muslims with their political masters have already been screwing the majority Hindus in India from pre Independence to post Independence for over 60+ years. It's time Indians wake up and put things right. Obama should get his facts right before interfering in the internal affairs of another democratic nation.
