Thank you for these videos. I thought I had ALS, MS, HIV, leukemia, brain cancer, neck cancer and early on set Parkinson’s like 2 years ago and now I’m going through my thyroid cancer and lymphoma phase lol. Symptoms I’ve had were night sweats, shaking, low grade fevers, brain fog, tremors, pains all over my body, chills, loss of appetite, twitches and muscle soreness.
    Anxiety is crazy

I am right there with you! I have thought I had all of those illnesses plus a couple of others. I am 61 and finally let my spouse talk me into getting on anti-anxiety meds very recently. I have only been on them for about a week so no real change yet but I am hoping.

I’m so sorry you are going through anxiety but a HUGE thank you to sharing your story and symptoms! I have literally been riding in the same boat with you and I thought I had ALS/MS/brain tumor or cancer..it’s so wild! I didn’t know anxiety could produce these symptoms, I always saw the generic symptoms of anxiety on Google like the basic 10 that are listed haha . THANK YOU! 🙏🏻

Just incase this helps anyone or they can relate:
    - Tingling in limbs
    - Painful knot in stomach and loss of appetite!
    - Derealisation
    - Aching behind the eyes along with headaches
    - Eye twitching
    - Trouble sleeping and waking up multiple times in the night.
    - Tightness in the chest.
When i do manage to completely calm down (as i have today, although these are very rare occasions), all of these, ALL of them....just melt away.
It may only be an hour or so before Im back to full blown state of dread, but this is PROOF that if you truly focus on this all being from anxiety, they will subside 😊

My doctor said that wherever our anxious brain decides to hold tension, that’s where we will feel some physical symptoms. I’ve been holding tension in the base of my skull/top of my neck for almost a year and it makes my ears feel full, my heart race, my sinuses have pressure etc. I had the same ECG situation where I was told I had long QT syndrome as well. I had horrible PVCs and felt like my heart was giving out. It’s good to know that even our rare symptoms are most likely our anxiety. It shows how powerful anxiety can be.

    • @cherellethinks

Thanks for your comment and I have to say I can’t believe you also had the long QT thing too! I’ve never met anyone else who has had this. I’m fascinated! 🤣 what was your outcome? @@cherellethinks my future ECGs were ALL normal. I still get the PVCs whenever I go through a high anxiety period, but my long QT resolved on its own. Isn’t that insane? It’s such an odd symptom, but so comforting to learn someone else had it too!

I have absolutely no idea. I am so lost. All of these symtoms, and telling yourself that it's just anxiety is so hard. Like pain in the left side of the head and the back of the head which travels all the way to the back of the neck ,ears, sinus areas. And the fear of what it might be. Jerks while sleeping. Randomly feeling like theres an earthquake because everything would be trembling but no one else would feel it. Like it's insane.

I’ve had so, so many random symptoms. Petechiae (pronounced peh-tee-kee-i 😉), mucus in poo, blood in poo, hallucinations, twitching, myoclonus, wheezing, low grade fevers, tingling, floaters, flashes, jaw tension, chest ache, ache in groin, ache in armpits, abnormal liver enzymes, red hands, etc. Of course some of these aren’t DIRECTLY caused by anxiety, but anxiety really pronounced them. Like, blood in poop isn’t from anxiety itself, but anxiety can give you diarrhea and constipation which may cause hemorrhoids.
I have absolutely nothing wrong with me other than health anxiety.

Cherelle, since May of this year I have been on quite the downward spiral. I’ve worried about everything. Leukemia, lymphoma, cancer, and now ALS.. but your stories give me hope. Currently, I have widespread fasciculations (mostly in calves), what I assume is brain fog, lack of hand coordination and balance issues, joint tenderness in the morning, breathing issues, and headaches around my temples. I’ve been there with you regarding blood spots popping up everywhere (cherry angiomas in my case), changes in bowel movements and color, and even upper abdominal pain. It’s hard to rationalize that all these different conditions could be hitting simultaneously, which creates some feeling of relief. However, anxiety is a hell of a trip, and I’m not quite off of the ride yet. I will say that staying active does help, and talking it through with friends as well. Google is the biggest enemy, and I’ve gone down the rabbit hole way too many times. That’s been my focus area, staying off of the internet and letting my body work through it. Thank you for these videos, and I’m interested to see what other people have to say!

@@brandonsargent8747 I can completely relate to what you're going through. In fact I think I've experienced pretty much every symptom you've listed, from fasciculations, to upper abdominal pain, headaches, joint pain, change in bowel movements, numbness, tingling, weakness, the lot. Last winter was the worst for me, it was a battle to get through the day as that's when all my 'symptoms' were at their height. But having worked REALLY hard on taking better care of myself, whether that be through exercise, eating better, getting outside, or even just talking it out with friends and family, I'm feeling much better now. I no longer really experience any symptoms, and while I may have a brief flare up here and there, I always try to rationalise my thoughts rather than go into panic mode. And I avoid Google like the plague! It's only ever gonna show you the worst of the worst and I've lost count of how many hours I've wasted down various rabbit holes. The mind is extremely powerful sometimes. I really do think anxiety and health anxiety are the blight of the modern age, all this information at our fingertips is turning us into nervous wrecks. Sounds like you're working through things though and I'm sure you'll get there, take care of yourself dude.

For me, anxiety seems to trigger joint pains among other things!
Today I was feeling fine all day until I noticed my blood sugar was a bit low. This set off a massive panic, thinking I’m gonna have any number of Horrible Things Happen and I started having headaches, dizziness, tremors, joint pains, etc etc which lasted me for ages after.
I tested my blood sugar again after having some sugar and it was well within the normal range - it was the anxiety that had generated all these new feelings! Even after seeing the blood sugar back in a safe range, the panic and all the symptoms that came with it continued until I started doing some relaxation practices.
I come back to these videos regularly and repeat your adage “Health anxiety is the disease”, because that’s the most important to remember when I’m catastrophising and spiralling.

Does anyone ever feel a sharp pain in random parts of their body? Like a very brief feeling of someone pricking you with a needle or something. It occurs very rarely but when it does, it is terrifying. I also get occasional muscle spasms on my feet or hands. But like 2 weeks ago, I had this horrible night where my left palm felt like it was on fire, it wasn't too painful or anything but it was intense enough to prevent me from sleeping the entire night. But after I started taking B12, sleeping properly and working on my anxiety, I have been noticing that those feelings have more or less subsided. I still have sensation in my hands so its probably not nerve damage but this symptom of mine scared me to no end.

I had my first anxiety attack at 11 years old and didnt know what it was until I was like 19. Here are all my symptoms Ive experienced throughout the diff stages of anxiety.:
Feeling lighted head, Feel like youre on drugs, arms and legs start tingling, SUDDEN INTENSE FEAR LIKE THIS IS IT AND YOU ARE DYING, racing thoughts, racing heart beat, feeling like your vision is drifting into nothingness, tunnel vision, Very irritable, weird thoughts of crashing car into wall, bridge or whatever while youre driving., waking up in the middle of the night with extreme racing heart that wont calm down( had to call ambulance many times ) , feeling extreme guilt for no reason, scared youre going crazy or losing your mind, Visual Snow ( you see static like an old tv 24/7 ), bad OCD type symptoms where you can not stop thinking about your anxiety at all. It consumes your mind. I think I had the fake smells also, like random food smell that I havent had in years will pop into my brain and its almost like I smell it for a second.. real weird.. Heart beating hard and fast around 120bpm for 2 days straight non stop without my meds ( sertraline works for me ) . ER doctor said O its anxiety and just sent me home.. then I went right back to ER the next day and they hate me .. Sharp pain in my chest, right where my heart is. Heart fluttering. Heart skipping beats for days, literally thought I was fucked. Had to wear heart monitor a few times, burning sensations on lips, ears, cheek, chin, legs, arms, almost feels like a rug burn. Whole body twitching LITERALLY every 2 seconds. Like twitch on left arm.. then right leg.. then buttcheek. and just non stop twitching 24/7 for MONTHS at a time. ( For some reason when walking , all the twitching went away. but standing still / sitting or laying . they remain ) Scary shit. If you have twitching I think working out helps. Lift some weights, do some squats , ride a bike. Depersonalization , when u feel like youre looking at life from an outside perspective. Almost as if your are watching an avatar of yourself from a diff world. Feeling no connection to humans. Like they are a whole diff species you cant relate to. Scary shit when you already feeling like your dying and now you have try to remember what sanity feels like and explain to humans you cant relate to lol..., When I had full blown panic attacks I felt like i was drugged and I was fading out to blackness. My whole body felt it like had tiny heated bits of sand in it and was pulsating. It felt like I was burning from the inside as I was dying. So while its happening I tell everyone I love them and then prepare for death. And right as I accept my fate that Im dead and I brace for the end of my life. Boom. It starts to fade like youre coming off a high from the scariest drug. Ringing in the ears that I could NOT stop focusing on and it was freaking me out. I would try to disract myself but it would only last so long until i had another panic attack. Weird cricket type sounds I was hearing. I even had my ears checked by a specialist and they found nothing. As soon as I got on my medicine basically everything went away. These were some symptoms., Very low level pain in my neck on the right side. Its like I had something stuck in my throat and the feeling comes and goes. doctor said that could be anxiety related. If I think of more symptoms ill edit this post.

Also chest and abdominal tightness . It gets worse when I'm having anxiety and panic attacks episodes . I've gotten everything checked and I'm healthy . It's hard to believe anxiety is causing this . I'm so tired, I'm scared, and I just want relief and never feel this way ever again

I never knew how intense health anxiety was until i got it myself. I remember hearing about it and not really understanding fully what it was but wow i get it now. I really fucking do! 😢 it convinces you that you're crazy. It's this darkness that takes hold of your body. And it controls you. You try to control it but no matter how much you keep fighting you always somehow feel like you cannot win.
It's exhausting to experience those evil symptoms. 😢 i've never been pushed to the edge before in that way to the point where i felt like i was close to having a mental breakdown and i mean that. It really made me fear everything. It made me fear my own shadow even. I can't even go outside for a normal walk at night anymore.
I used to go at night because i thought to myself that it would be great for me and that at night time there aren't many people outside and so they can't judge me but now with all the episodes of anxiety that i have encountered along the way. It has made it a whole lot harder to go outside or to feel slightly normal. I haven't felt normal in so long and anxiety has officially ruined me. I have been trying to get out of that dark hole though because i know that it's not good for me to keep thinking negatively. And i have been meditating which has been SUCH a life saver! Honestly though it really shifted my perspective! I have been meditating on and off for years now.
I've started since i was a kid but then took it very seriously as a teen and now as an adult i need to meditate like crazy or else i would be the one going crazy💀🌚
It's still not easy for me to feel like myself and for a lack of a better word "normal"...
But i am still obviously trying my best. I don't really get any support for it either and so I'm basically having to be strong for myself and that shit is so much harder than most people think. Just taking that next step and having to basically be your own warrior in those dark turbulent times. That shit is hard as hell. It sometimes feels IMPOSSIBLE to have a good day because of how your brain usually thinks of certain things.
It's hard to just be optimistic but i have forced myself to get there lately. But as soon as you do it it just becomes more and more addictive. I know that positivity and shifting your mindset works because i have had weeks and weeks of good days before after many days of only just having anxiety attacks, panic disorder and health anxiety. So i have faith that it can change again because it did change not that long ago so there is hope of course! Even just writing about this right now is somehow making me feel more and more positive because of my own outlook.
I know that i can be really negative at times because of how my brain usually thinks but lately i have really trying to push negative out of the way and i have really tried to be more positive instead because i am quite aware that that's the ONLY way to be! 😃💅🏽

This isn’t triggering, it’s very very helpful. I don’t have specific health anxiety but health anxiety caused by what I’m going through which is nervous system injury ( long story) and insane stress is really amplifying this and causing more symptoms, insane symptoms in my brain and I hear them. I sit and cry as it’s so debilitating I worry my nervous system is broken, and even crying is overstimulating but the life stress is chronic and I can’t avoid it. I found this channel after looking for eye symptoms caused by stress or making them worse. I actually feel I could have a seizure right now so this helped.

Sometimes the sinus area on my face would suddenly feel tight (like it's being squeezed or pushed down), or the neck and back of my head would feel so tight that I feel like I might have a stroke. Other times it would be extreme eye floaters, tinnitus, a prickling sensation all over my body, muscle cramps and spasms in my belly.... All of them get better when I remember to breathe through the them and tell myself that I am okay. It helps to observe the symptoms without judgement, while sending your brain messages of safety like "I'm okay" "this is just nervous energy", etc. (Learned these through the DARE app). But yes, they're all scary in the moment and sometimes I still get panic attacks from them. I've been to multiple doctors and physiotherapists, and have had multiple tests done, and they all came back normal. So... yeah anxiety causes pretty intense symptoms for me. Lately I have been having lots of heart racing feelings (even though heart rate is normal), both feet tingling like pins and needles, and random shooting pains in my neck, right shoulder and back. I remember having scary intrusive images when I was falling sleep and as I didnt want them to be there because I really scared them they apear even more. Now I am not scared anymore and I have my mind more relaxed. Also DR is currently my worst symptom and being uncertain of the idea whereas the world is real or not. But I am dealing with it and all days I say: I dont know what is happening or if this is a dream or not, but as I am now into this "condition" I am going to create the scenario that I want (If I am scared of having hallucinations then I am going to imagine me having that hallucination with dogs, with somebody who I love and so on, consequently, I would be less scared about having it(because the reason why each person have one or other sympton is the level of fear (and I really fear hallucinations, feeling disconected and a lot of other symptoms (but this could be for a huge book)))). I hope this help, all symptoms and conditions are valid and I really feel that everyone is going to overcome this, take it as a challenge (you are going to learn a lot after this).

If I didn’t actively fear that and try to control it through compulsions I wouldn’t be so hyper vigilant over my thinking. and I wouldn’t even notice random weird thoughts like before.”🧍🏻‍♀️ and just like that I’m forced to recognize how I actively participate in my own suffering 😂 I am currently avoiding sleep bc I keep not wanting to think or experience images of the horror game I played earlier and also panicking bc my dpdr is really intense atm (I hate feeling disconnected)🚶🏻‍♀️self awareness has taken me far but not far enough lolll this helps to see I am not the only one though. gotta resist those compulsions

Through my anxiety, I believe I managed to get all my moles to suddenly disappear on my body. No explanation for that. But anxiety made me go to the doctor for a lot of unnecessary symptoms. During the summer, my face was constantly feeling prickly and I thought I had neurological problem or MS, but then I realized I kept having mild sunburns with the salt from sweat irritating the skin. My toes kept getting numb, after going to the neurologist for it, I realized the straps of the sandals were simply pressing on parts of my feet. My arms kept feeling numb and prickly, then I realized I sleep with my arms folded really tight. One foot and leg began getting much colder than the other for months. The doctors never had an explanation but I believe this came from forceful compression during sleep; because with anxiety gone, this issue was also gone. Mysterious things can happen, but a lot of things can have easy explanations, and just come and go.

Fear of my achilles sinews burst because they feel inflamed and hurt a bit. I'm so anxious about it, especially at night. I worked on the fear and it went well, but now it's back after 2 months because the pain is back :(
I also had bad nerve pains in my spine for months and extreme fear of somethings wrong with my spine ! (I have arthrosis, but just low grade... But since i know i'm so anxious !!)

@@milakolitsova3467 I used to have that symptom in the beginning of my anxiety disorder, just accept the sensation, accept that it's not something serious, it's only your nervous system playing tricks on you, there is no danger at all.
Basically, if the symptoms you have, come and go, they are from anxiety, there is nothing to fear about.

I am not sure whether my anxiety or my symptoms emerge first (like the chicken or the egg dilemma) but I have extrasystoles (called PVCs but not sure) and after I felt my heart rhtym disrupted, anxiety hits immediately and ruins all my day. I also fell short heart rythm change like fluctuating sensation after I eat too much and sit in a position that my stomach pressing the heart. Although my cardiologist said there is no problem after ECG, Echo, 24h Holter and stress ECG (on a treadmill) tests, I sometimes fell these irregular or abnormal beats that hit more powerful so cannot escape from the anxiety of the sudden death. Do you have similar symptoms??

Hi Cherelle, Perhaps this is one of those rare symptoms. My left leg feels heavy dull achy and like deadweight. Would feel burning sensation all throughout. I’ve had health anxiety for about 5 years and I’ve never felt this particular symptoms on just my single leg so it naturally had me worried. I saw a video where you mentioned you had this from googling symptoms. I’ve never been the to google but I do overthink and catastrophize when something hurts that’s different and this is that case. Waited 4 days then went to hospital and was told it’s highly unlikely anything serious and here I am still dealing with it after 1 week. No crazy visible swelling or red spots but I constantly body check to make sure it’s not swelling or spotty. I hope some one can connect with this. Trying my absolute best to not let this control me. It’s real difficult.

I've had many anxiety symtoms over the 2 years I've suffered health anxiety but theres one that I just get so confused by. Frequent urination. Like I get random episodes of it out of the blue. I've had my tests done and doctors have said anxiety. The thing that confuses me the most is the timing. Like I'll get it when I'm not doing to bad. And it always goes the same way, itll be awful like constant urges like how a uti would feel then slowly eases off like I'll pee more rather than just a dribble or nothing but the frequency is still there if that makes sense and then itll subside back to normal, then it could happen after a few months again. It's so weird!

Has anyone had a strange tight feeling on one side of their throat? No pain whatsoever, the past week at random times the left side of my throat will just feel like it’s swollen, it doesn’t restrict my breathing it’s just extremely uncomfortable. Google keeps telling me it’s swollen lymph nodes but my nodes are not tender or sore.
I’ve also been having muscle spasms EVERYWHERE and at the most random times. Sharp pains in my toes and again in the most random places which is so hard when I can’t pinpoint where they show up to even search on Google and all it does is make me even MORE anxious that something is wrong, from like a dull sharp pain to like an electric shock.
Ive also got these painless lumps showing up on gums above my teeth, to unexplained itchiness and acne all over my body.
This is all so unusual to me but I’m going through such a stressful point in my life to the point where my hair is falling out, this isn’t uncommon as I do normally lose hair but never in CHUNKS like I have been recently and I have no idea what to do. It’s taking over me.

Here's one for ya. I was in the worst of my anxiety and kept having left eye trouble. I went to this eye doctor 3 times. The last time did it for me. I was told I had optic neuritis. I then went to two different eye doctors and had an MRI done and all came back great. So one doctor made me think for almost 2 weeks that I had MS. When it was all stress, lack of sleep and anxiety. All of that combined can cause so many issues with your heath it is unreal. Now that one eye doctor will not speak to me since I questioned him. The other two eye doctors have no idea why he said that. Worst time of my life. I've also had the tingling, numbness, in ALL of my limbs, weakness in legs and left arm (it was weird) chest and body tremors. Internal and external. Body jerks. Like my whole leg would jerk in the air. Anxiety is no joke and I've noticed the more I googled the more my symptoms got worse. Or I would experience new symptoms after seeing a video of it or reading about it online. Crazy to think how anxiety can effect you!

What was happening with your left eye because my left eye has been seeing flashing lights and just recently a blind spot for a couple minutes. I went to an eye doctor about the flashing lights and said it was just the vitreous pulling away from the retina as it does sometimes. But now the blind spot freaked me out.

Hey all, yes I am fine and doing very very well. I have absolutely no issues at all anymore. I was put on lexapro for a year. Finally weened myself off of it and I STOPPED googling. That was my biggest mistake was googling. I was so convinced that my doctor was wrong and Google was right. DO NOT go down that rabbit hole. It's not healthy. It's not good. It only causes problems. I have recovered and now know how to identify my anxiety and I calm it before it rears its ugly head. Come to find out my left eye issues stemed from a chiropractic adjustment which is VERY dangerous when it comes to the cervical spine. My anxiety in turn got SO bad my pupils were different sizes because believe it or not (I googled) my eye symptoms and pupil variation came across and I believed it so much so my body starting mimicking the signs of a diseases. Anxiety is awful and if you let it get out of control it take a LONG time to recover. I am doing fine now but it took my almost a year and a half to reach this point.
